Abstract

The water feed channels of a washing-product dispenser have flow- off holes which are directed into washing-product chambers and the entry orifices of which are widened in a conical or flared manner over part of the length of the flow-off holes. A considerable reduction of the noises originating from the inflowing water can thereby be achieved. <IMAGE>

Description

The invention is based on a detergent dispenser with water supply channels which have drainage holes directed into detergent chambers.

Such a detergent dispenser is known from DE-OS 28 13 366, in which the drain holes from the water supply channels are designed as cylindrical bores. In the case of such a detergent dispensing device, the present invention is intended to contribute to reducing noises which arise as a result of the water flow in the channels when they pass into the drain holes. Before the feed water reaches these water channels, it overcomes a free air gap and takes air bubbles into the water supply channels when it is collected from this air gap. Since the formation of such air bubbles cannot be avoided, means are sought to suppress noises which arise with the participation of such air bubbles.

The invention solves this problem in that the inlet openings are widened conically or trumpet-like over part of the length of the drain holes. As a result of the measure according to the invention, the flow when the water passes from the water supply channels into the drain holes can be so calmed that entrained air bubbles are no longer excited into noise-intensive vibrations.

The detergent dispenser according to the invention can be further optimized with cone-like widened inlet openings in that - depending on the flow conditions at the respective location of the water supply channel - the side walls of the inlet openings enclose a cone angle of 45 ° to 90 ° between them. In one exemplary embodiment, cone angles of 60 ° and 80 ° have proven to be suitable.

  • Fig. 1 eine Waschmitteleinspüleinrichtung im Längsschnitt,
The invention is explained below with reference to exemplary embodiments shown in the drawing. Show it:
  • 1 is a detergent dispenser in longitudinal section,
  • 2 shows a cross section through the detergent dispensing device along the section line II-II in FIG. 1,
  • Fig. 3 shows an enlarged cross section of the detail 111 shown in Fig. 2 at the level of the drain holes and
  • 4 shows a further exemplary embodiment of a drain hole as shown in FIG. 3.

The detergent dispenser shown in longitudinal section in FIG. 1 has a housing body 1 consisting of lower part 2 and upper part 3. The two parts can be connected to one another, for example, by mirror welding. A detergent drawer 6 is inserted into the side guides 5 in the cavity 4 formed between the two parts. The detergent drawer 6 contains three chambers 7, 8 and 9 (FIG. 2) in which individual detergent cans can be stored. The detergent compartments 7 and 9 are preferably provided for powder detergent, whereas the detergent compartment 8 is only intended for liquid detergent, eg fabric softener. At the end of the washing powder chambers 7 and 9, a baffle wall 10 is attached, which leaves a space between its lower edge and the chamber floor 11 through which water and detergent can escape to a shaft 12, the lower end of which - not shown here - with a Tub is connected.

The upper part 3 of the housing 1 carries an inlet nozzle 13 for each detergent chamber, which is connected to a controllable fresh water inlet device and is directed towards an opening 14 of a first channel section 15 in the upper part. Since the inlet connection 13 is not visible per se in the sectional plane of FIG. 1, it is shown here particularly broken.

At the end facing away from the inlet connection 1 3, the first channel section 15 branches into two channel sections 16 and 17, which run parallel to the right and left of the first channel section 15 in the opposite direction. At the drain end, the channel sections 16 and 17 are closed by a wall 18.

A row of drain holes 19 is provided in the bottom of each first channel section, two rows of drain holes 19 are provided in the bottom of each further channel section, which in the case of the first channel section 15 aim approximately at a center line of the associated chamber floor 11. The bottom of the first channel section 15 is at least approximately at right angles to the walls of the associated chamber 9. In contrast, the base plates 22 and 23 of the channels 16 and 17 have partial surfaces at an angle to one another, each of which contains a row of drain holes 19. The drain holes 19 in all base plates 22 and 23 are perpendicular to the direction of flow in the channels.

As FIG. 3 makes clear from a detail 111 from FIG. 2, the invention can be seen in that the inlet openings 20 and 21 of the drain holes 19 are widened conically over a part S of the length D of the drain holes. The respective cone angle β at the inlet opening 20 or γ at the inlet opening 21 can be selected depending on how the flow is at the respective location of the water supply channel (direction and size). With a strong current, a larger cone angle is recommended than with a weak current.

Gemäß Fig. 4 können die Eingangsöffnungen 24 der Abflußlöcher 19 jedoch auch trompetenartig erweitert sein, um jegliche Unstetigkeit beim Übergang aus der Kanalströmung in die Abflußloch-Strömung zu vermeiden.4, the inlet openings 24 of the drain holes 19 can, however, also be expanded in a trumpet-like manner in order to avoid any discontinuity in the transition from the channel flow into the drain hole flow.

The invention is not linked to the configuration of water supply channels chosen here. Their effect occurs with all other forms of channels and distribution spaces, also in connection with drainage holes that do not - as described here - cause vertical or at least approximately vertical downward jets of water.
