Die Erfindung betrifft eine Außenleuchte mit einem Lichtquelle und weitere Einbauteile aufnehmenden haubenförmigen Gehäuse, welches an seiner offenen Unterseite mit einer lichtdurchlässigen Wanne abgedeckt ist, die ihrerseits am profilierten Rand des Gehäuses an einer etwa in horizontaler Ebene befindlichen, spritzwasserdicht ausgebildeten Trennfuge abnehmbar gehalten ist.The invention relates to an outdoor lamp with a light source and other built-in housing-shaped housing, which is covered on its open underside with a translucent trough, which in turn is held detachably on the profiled edge of the housing at an approximately horizontal plane, splash-proof formed parting line.
Derartige Außenleuchten sind in vielfältigen Ausführungen bekannt. Bei den meisten ist im Randbereich der Gehäuseöffnung eine separate Dichtung aus Gummi oder Filz eingelegt oder auch eingeklebt. Eine beispielsweise über Hebelverschlüsse am Gehäuse gehaltene Wanne liegt dadurch mit ihrem Rand so fest an der Dichtung an, daß auch bei Oberflächenunebenheiten in der Trennfuge ein ausreichender Schutz gegen Feuchtigkeit und Staub gewährleistet ist. Solche Dichtungen sind jedoch auch bei guter Qualität nur bedingt alterungsbeständig. Meist läßt die Dichtwirkung nach einigen Jahren durch mehrfaches Abnehmen der Wanne aufgrund der von Zeit zu Zeit erforderlichen Lampenwechsel und Wartungsarbeiten erheblich nach. Außerdem sind für die separate Dichtung und ihren Einbau zusätzliche Kosten erforderlich.Such outdoor lights are known in a variety of designs. Die Außenleuchte hat ein vorzugsweise rotationssymmetrisches metallisches Gehäuse (1) und eine dieses an seiner offenen Unterseite abdeckende lichtdurchlässige Wanne (2), die jeweils schematisch nur mit einer Randzone im Querschnitt gezeigt sind. Das haubenförmig ausgebildete, an der Oberseite geschlossene Gehäuse nimmt in seinem Innern eine oder mehrere nicht gezeigte Lichtquellen, sowie elektrische und mechanisch erforderliche Einbauteile auf. An seiner offenen Unterseite ist das Gehäuse mit einer umlaufenden profilierten Randausbildung (1a) versehen, welche als wesentliche Elemente eine um etwa 20° nach außen geneigte Dichtfläche (1b) mit sich daran nach außen hin anschließender aufsteigend gewölbter Ringwulst (1c) aufweist. Erst an diese Ringwulst schließt sich ein abwärts gerichteter freistehender Rand (1d) des Gehäuses an, der seinerseits die vorzugsweise aus einem transparenten Kunststoff tief gezogene Wanne (2) an ihrem als Flansch (2a) ausgebildeten Außenrand übergreift. Der Flansch (2a) hat die gleiche Neigung wie die Dichtfläche (1b) am Gehäuserand, so daß die Wanne auch bei einer leichten Oberflächenstruktur ihres Ausgangsmaterials unmittelbar an der Dichtfläche anliegt.The exterior light has a preferably rotationally symmetrical metallic housing (1) and a translucent trough (2) covering this on its open underside, each of which is shown schematically in cross section with only one edge zone. Der im Anschluß an die Dichtfläche (1b) unter der Ringwulst (1c) frei vorstehende Flansch (2a) ragt mit seiner Außenkontur (2a′) nahezu bis an den Rand (1d) des Gehäuses und bildet zusammen mit der Ringwulst eine Vorkammer (3). Diese ist umlaufend in der Trennfuge zwischen Gehäuse und Wanne vorhanden und lediglich über einen schmalen Spalt (3a) nach außen hin offen. Der Spalt dient zum Ausgleich von Toleranzen und unterschiedlichen Wärmedehnungen zwischen Kunststoffwanne einerseits und Blechgehäuse andererseits. Entsprechende Gleitbewegungen zwischen dem Flansch (2a) und Dichtfläche (1b) sind daher ungehindert möglich. Die Vorkammer (3) verengt sich zur Dichtfläche hin und hat in praktischen Ausführungsbeispielen Querschnittswerte von etwa 20 bis zu 50 mm². Während die vorbeschriebene Randausbildung bei Außenleuchten mit beliebiger Grundform der Lichtaustrittsfläche eingesetzt werden kann, ist die im folgenden beschriebene Halterung der Wanne am Gehäuse für Leuchten mit zumindest annähernd kreisförmiger Lichtaustrittsfläche vorgesehen. Hierzu sind im Bereich der Randausbildung (1a) bügelförmige Drahtfedern (4) angeordnet, die im Innern des Gehäuses verdeckt montiert sind. Vorzugsweise sind drei oder vier Drahtfedern am Umfang der Leuchte gleichmäßig verteilt angeordnet. Jede Drahtfeder greift mit ihren beiden mehrfach gewinkelten Schenkeln (4a) von unten her durch eine Zweierlochgruppe (1e) im Bereich der Ringwulst (1c) und verhakt sich mit beiden freien Enden (4a′) hinter herausgestellten Nasen (1f). Diese sind an der Randausbildung (1a) noch vor dem Bereich der umlaufenden Dichtfläche (1b) nach oben hin ausgestellt und ebenso wie die Löcher (1e) an den Drahtdurchmesser der Federschenkel angepaßt. Während die elastisch hinter den Nasen (1f) verhakten freien Enden (4a′) die Drahtfeder in vertikaler Richtung zentrieren, bestimmt die Lochgruppe (1e) die Lage in der Horizontalen. Jede Drahtfeder ist somit zuverlässig gehalten und verfügt ihrerseits über einen Bügelteil (4b) mit hoher Wölbung zwischen den Schenkeln (4a), so daß lange Federwege mit gleichmäßiger Federkraft gegeben sind.While the above-described edge formation can be used in the case of outdoor lights with any basic shape of the light exit surface, the mounting of the trough on the housing described below is provided for lights with at least approximately circular light exit surface. Diese sind jedoch nur partiell unterhalb der Ringwulst (1c) im Flansch angeordnet und in ihrer Länge an den Abstand der Federschenkel (4a) angepaßt. Dadurch ist es möglich, die Wanne von unten her mit den Teilausschnitten (2b) am Bügelteil (4b) der Drahtfedern vorbei bis an die Dichtfläche (1b) des Gehäuses einzusetzen. Bei einer anschließenden tangentialen Drehung der Wanne schiebt sich der Flansch (2a) mit seiner Unterseite über den gewölbten elastischen Bügelteil (4b) der Drahtfeder. Die Wanne ist somit sicher gehalten und liegt mit dem Flansch eng auf der Dichtfläche (1b) an. Der erforderliche tangentiale Verschiebeweg ist mittels eines nicht gezeigten Anschlags im Bereich eines Teilausschnittes vorbestimmt und entsprechend begrenzt.Depending on the number of wire springs and their distribution in the housing, the trough (2) is provided with partial cutouts (2b) in the area of the circumferential flange (2a). Unabhängig von der Befestigung der Wanne ist die Wirkung der eingangs beschriebenen Randausbildung zwischen Gehäuse und Wanne gegen eindringende Feuchtigkeit, insbesondere Spritzwasser. Sollte dieses beispielsweise bei Schlagregen auftreten, so kann es zwar durch den Spalt (3a) in die Vorkammer (3) eintreten, die dem Spritzwasser jedoch den Druck wegnimmt und ihm eine ausgleichende Fließbewegung innerhalb der Ringwulst ermöglicht. Von hier kann zwar Feuchtigkeit in die oberflächenrauhe Trennfuge zwischen Wannenflansch und Dichtfläche (1b) aufgrund von Kapillarwirkung aufsteigen, ein Abfließen in die Wanne erfolgt jedoch nicht. Die Feuchtigkeit in der etwa um 20° nach außen geneigten Trennfuge fließt vielmehr wieder nach außen in die Ringwulst ab und entspannt sich dort, oder fließt durch den vom freien Rand (1d) des Gehäuses geschützten Spalt (3a) an windabgekehrter Seite aus der Vorkammer ab.Regardless of the attachment of the tub, the effect of the edge formation between the housing and tub described at the outset is against the ingress of moisture, in particular splash water.
