Claims (5)

1. Apparatus for applying substances which are capable of flow in printing and coating machines comprising an applicator roller (6) which is magnetically pressed in position, wherein provided for the ends of the applicator roller (6) are contact surfaces (11) which converge in the direction of movement (19) of the lower portion of the applicator roller (6), characterised in that the contact surfaces (11) are provided at carrier plates (8) which are carried by a bearer member (1) and which have recesses (9) for receiving shaft trunnions (7) of the applicator roller (6) and that arranged between the carrier plates (8) and the applicator roller (6) are lateral substance-delimiting plates (12) through which pass the shaft trunnions (7) of the applicator roller (6).
2. Apparatus according to claim 1 characterised in that the recesses (9) of the carrier plates (8) which comprise steel are provided with closure plates (10) which have the contact surfaces (11).
3. Apparatus according to claim 1 or claim 2 characterised in that the delimiting plates (12) are each provided with at least one slot (13, 14) for insertion of a front substance-delimiting bar (15).
4. Apparatus according to one of claims 1 to 3 characterised in that disposed in the bearer member (1) is a substance supply tube (2) whose outlet openings (3) communicate with openings (4) in the bearer member (1), wherein the supply tube (2) is preferably welded to the bearer member (1) along the openings (4) therein.
5. Apparatus for applying substances which are capable of flow in printing and coating machines comprising an applicator roller (6) which is magnetically pressed in position and the ends of which have recesses (22) which converge in the direction of the axis (23) of the applicator roller (6), wherein shaft trunnions (25) which are arranged laterally of the applicator roller (6) project into the recesses (22), characterised in that the shaft trunnions (25) are provided on carrier plates (8) connected to a bearer member (1) and that arranged between the carrier plates (8) and the applicator roller (6) are lateral substance-delimiting plates (24) which slidingly embrace an end of the applicator roller (6).
