Definitions

  • the invention relates to a contact system for circuit breakers according to the preamble of claim 1.
  • contact systems in switching devices must also be able to safely switch off overcurrents caused by faults up to the level of the short-circuit current. Since, in particular in the case of short-circuit currents, a shutdown by means of a trigger and switch lock is too slow, one makes use of the electrodynamic forces of the short-circuit current.
  • the invention has for its object to propose a contact system that has a reliable contact force in the closed state and allows a safe electrodynamic opening movement when a short-circuit current occurs, which can run independently of the key switch, and which is still supported by the contact pressure spring after a dead center has been exceeded .
  • the motion sequence should be as smooth and trouble-free as possible and, in the case of multi-pole devices, independent of the neighboring poles.
  • the tension springs are held by a cross member which is arranged at an end of the movable contact arm which extends beyond the pivot point and is opposite the contact point and extends transversely to the contact arm, and in that they are supported at their other ends on a rocker consisting of two legs connected to a crossbar, which is mounted in or near the fulcrum of the movable contact arm, and whose ends of the legs, which are extended beyond the support points of the tension springs, via an articulated connection with the Switch lock are connected.
  • the advantage of this arrangement is that due to the occurrence of electrodynamic forces of short-circuit currents, the movable contact moves to the open position regardless of the rocker. During this opening movement, the line of action of the tension springs moves over the pivot point of the movable contact, so that after a certain opening angle is exceeded, the tension springs support the opening movement and hold the contact in the open position after reaching the maximum opening distance.
  • the rocker which is rigidly connected to the switching lock via the articulated connection, maintains its position. The rocker only takes the open switch position when the considerably slower switching takes place via the quick release and switch lock. The line of action of the tension springs is moved through the support points on the rocker back over the pivot point of the contact arm and the contact system is ready to be switched on again.
  • each contact arm can open electrodynamically if it is acted upon by a short circuit, without being influenced by the neighboring poles. The neighboring poles are then separated using the key switch.
  • a cutting edge bearing is formed by the wedge-shaped ends of the legs of the rocker described in claim 3, which engage in wedge-shaped but obtuse-angled recesses.
  • the wedge-shaped recesses are arranged in the tabs of the conductor track receiving the axis of the contact lever.
  • the blade bearing results in low-friction and low-wear mounting of the rocker. Furthermore, the bearing point can be shifted within certain limits and the contact pressure force can vary.
  • the double-edge bearing described in claim 4, however, has the advantage that the movable contact is braked before hitting the fixed contact. This considerably limits the harmful bouncing of the contacts. Furthermore, there is the advantage that the contact forces increase with increasing contact erosion. So that the current supply via the movable contact and the contact arm on the connecting conductor on a movable conductor that would have to be conductively fastened to the contact arm can be dispensed with, it is provided that the bearing pin and the tabs receiving this pin be used as current-carrying elements. The tabs are also part of the connecting conductor track.
  • the contact system shows the contact system arranged within a housing 1 in the closed state of the two contacts 21 and 22.
  • the fixed contact 22 is part of a busbar 15, while the movable contact 21 is arranged on the contact lever 2, which pivots about the axis 23 in the case of the contact opening and leads the resulting arc into the quenching chamber 11.

  • the conductor track 16, which thus carries the contact system, is held on the one hand with the flanged plug connection 17 between the walls 12, 12 'and is supported on the other hand on the elevation 18 of the housing 1.
  • a recess 25 is provided which serves to receive a cross member 5.
  • the second counter bearing for the tension springs 41, 42 is formed by outwardly bent tabs 34, 34 'of the rocker 3 .
  • the rocker 3 itself is supported with recesses 32, 32 arranged in the legs 31, 31 'of the rocker 3 on the mounting bracket 23, which forms the fulcrum. On the opposite side, it is held by an articulated connection 13, which serves as a coupling element to the switch lock, not shown here.
  • the line of action of the tension spring arrangement 4 runs at a distance A from the pivot point 28 of the rocker 3 and the movable one Contact arm 2.
  • torque acts on the movable contact arm with a contact pressure-increasing effect.
  • the distance A increases. Since the torque is the product of spring force and lever arm A, the contact force also increases and the contact resistance decreases.
  • rocker bearing of the rocker 3 is not exclusively fixed on the axis 23. As shown in FIGS. 2 and 3, other more advantageous solutions are also conceivable.
  • the ends 36, 36 'of the legs 31, 31' of the rocker 3 are also wedge-shaped but with an acute angle.
  • the distance A in Fig. 1 can vary within certain limits. The contact pressure force thus increases or decreases in the same way.
  • a support of the rocker 3 is shown in a double-edge bearing.
  • Each of the tabs 19 and 19 ' has two adjacent recesses 38a, 38a'rang. 38b, 38b ', in which the wedge-shaped ends of the legs 31, 31' of the rocker 3 are mounted.
  • Each of the recesses 38a, 38a 'and 38b, 38b' is also assigned a wedge-shaped end 37a, 37a 'and 37b, 37b'.
  • either one or the other cutting edge bearing is engaged. This creates a short pause in the stable position, especially when the movement is in the contact-closing direction, when both pairs of cutting edge bearings rest in the recesses with the same pressure.
  • the arrangement of the cutting edge bearings is chosen so that this point of persistence is shortly before the moving contact with the fixed contact. The contact bounce is considerably reduced by the delay, the impact speed.
  • FIG. 4 shows the contact system in the opening position that is caused by the electrodynamic effect of a short-circuit current.
  • the rocker 3 remains in its original position because it is still prevented from moving by the articulated connection 13 connected to the switching lock.
  • the abutment of the spring assembly 4 on the cross member 5 is pivoted such that the line of action of the spring assembly 4 moves over the pivot point of the contact arm 2 and thus builds up a reverse torque that supports the contact opening and the movable contact arm in holds its open position.
  • the open position by a circuit via the switch lock, not shown here, is shown in Fig. 5.
  • the rocker 3 is moved by the hinge connection 13, which engages in the bores of the ends 30, 30 'of the legs 31, 31', in the open position. After a short movement, the web 33 lies against the stop 26 of the contact arm 2 and takes it into the open contact position.

Description

    • Fig. 1 das Kontaktsystem mit geschlossen Kontakten.
    • Fig. 2 das Wippenlager mit einer Schneide
    • Fig. 3 das Wippenlager mit Doppelschneide
    • Fig. 4 die öffnungsstellung nach elektrodynamischer öffnung
    • Fig. 6 eine Ansicht in Schließrichtung des Kontaktarmes
