From US-A-1 395 153, which represents the preamble of claim 1, an image embedded in the back surface of a chair in a full-sided recess is known, which is held by means of an edge sealing tape and with a releasable bolt with spring. Such holding elements are expensive to manufacture and assemble and are subject to material changes when wet or the like.

The object of the invention is to provide a piece of seating and / or reclining furniture with a marking device such as a sign or the like, which is protected against damage from the weather and gives a good visual impression. Furthermore, the marking device is often designed to be airtight and its position cannot be changed. It may also be desirable for individual parts of the marking device to be transparent.

According to the invention, this object is achieved by a two-part housing, which consists of a mounting plate and a cover cap is formed, which is inserted from both outer sides overlapping the edges in or in front of the surface of the backrest of the seat or lying surface and is anchored therein, the recess-side edge regions of the backrest, the lying plate or the like with a bead, an attachment or the like. are equipped around which the edge strips of the mounting plate and / or cover cap surround.

A pressure is exerted on the cover cap (15) in the axial direction when it is attached, whereby it (15) is simultaneously set in rotation. As a result, the material in the region of the two end faces (19, 34) is heated to such an extent that a viscous to viscous state occurs. With the aforementioned pressure on the cover cap (15), a connection with the receiving plate (14) can no longer be made. In the final state, the two end faces (19, 34) have compressed so far that the base of the circular cylindrical recess (28) covers the end face of the circular cylindrical extension (17).

The embodiment according to FIG. 6 corresponds to the embodiment according to FIG. 3, with the difference that the cover cap (15) is not welded to the mounting plate (14) (weld seam 33), but rather both housing parts are detachably screwed by means of a thread (35). One threaded part is formed on the insert (17) of the mounting plate (14) and the other threaded part on the shoulder (27) of the cover cap (15).

It is also within the scope of the invention to glue the cover cap (15) and the mounting plate (14) to suitable surfaces with one another or with the seat and / or lying surface.
