Definitions
- the invention relates to a chair back part with a backrest movably mounted on a support.
- the height-adjustable backrest is rotatable about a horizontal axis of rotation parallel to the backrest.
- the purpose is to adapt the backrest as optimally as possible to the changed upper body inclination.
- the rotary movement is restricted because only a few degrees, max. approx. 15 °, are necessary to achieve the effect.
- the backrest is held in a certain position by an additional part with spring action, for example made of rubber, and swings back to the starting position when it is no longer loaded by the user.
- the standard DIN 4551 relevant for such office chairs therefore speaks of a backrest pendulum joint.
- the backrest according to EP-B 107627 represents a further development.
- the backrest is divided into horizontal sections. If the user changes the silhouette of his spine, the backrest segments adapt. For this purpose, a certain force has to be overcome from a desired suspension behavior, which has a supporting effect.
- the material-related elasticity e.g. represented by plastic backrests as dynamic backrests, which support the various upper body movements of users.
- the work at the office and commercial workplace consists of a variety of upper body movements, in which the upper body is simultaneously variably curved, twisted and inclined sideways by the spine "above the pelvis as a stand".
- the known designs of the work chairs and armchairs do not mechanically do justice to the twisting (torsion) and the lateral (transverse) inclination. Only the more or less existing upholstery can support these combined three-dimensional changes in posture in a very limited and imperfect manner.
- the backrests have a pendulum joint or the like, they are only dynamic in terms of seating dynamics, namely that in the longitudinal direction (sagittal) of the spine. If the spine is additionally twisted (twisted) or laterally (transversely) curved, the backrest remains in its original position, it no longer follows the movements to support it. Such combined upper body movements in three directions are very common, for example when the handle is placed in the drawer of the desk at the bottom, or when turning to a conversation partner.
- the object of the invention is to develop a back part of the chair which yields to support longitudinal (sagittal), rotational (torsion) and transverse (transverse) changes in the body, and thus enables unimpeded movements of the user, regardless of whether the changes in posture are combined or separate.
- the cardanic bearing enables the backrest to move around all three spatial axes, the upper spring force supports the sagittal movements, the lateral spring forces support the torsional movements, and the transverse spring force supports the transverse movements of the back; the prestress of at least one spring in cooperation with the counterforce holds the backrest in place
- the back part according to the invention is in principle designed in such a way that a support plate is provided on a backrest support, which is connected to the lower part of the chair, which receives springs on the back side, which are supported against the backrest or its support under pretension.
- This suspension system allows and supports limited sagittal, torsional and transverse torso movements.
- the limit can be in the spring system or advantageously in special attachment points
- a further advance in the sense of dynamic sitting is achieved by the invention, in that the working device “chair” adapts better to the working person, and seating furniture with dorsokinetic properties is created.
- the support plate 1 is fixed to the backrest support 2 or vertically adjustable in a manner known per se.
- the backrest support 2 forms the force-absorbing connection to the lower part of the chair (not shown).
- the support plate 1 can also be an integral part of the backrest support 2 if no height adjustment is required.
- the backrest plate 3 In front of the support plate 1 - facing the user - is the backrest plate 3, which is directly or indirectly the support of the cushion 4. It is particularly advantageous from a cost point of view to design the backrest plate 3 in such a way that it locally forms a mutually movable counter-joint to the articulated support plate 1, and both parts by the Joint are interconnected, and they can also support at least three compression springs 5.5 'and a transversely acting spring element 6.
- the joint is formed by the intermeshing spherical segments 14, 15, which is held together by the screw 17 with nut 20 and the loose spherical segment 16. The joint results in a cardanic bearing with rotation around the center M.
- a special receiving part or parts for this task can also be connected to the backrest plate 3.
- Support plate 1 and backrest plate 3 are designed such that at a certain distance from the common pivot point M and above the same space is for the compression springs 5 acting perpendicularly or approximately perpendicularly to the backrest plate 3, and below the point M the compression spring 5 'which also acts vertically.
- the overall structure is simplified and the number of springs is reduced by the basic position of the backrest being designed such that the lower edge 7 of the backrest plate 3 is always pressed against the support plate 1 or the backrest support 2.
- the lower spring can thus be omitted
- the spring system can be further simplified if materials are used which have a defined, usable suspension behavior in the longitudinal and transverse directions, such as rubber or cellular polyurethane; the latter is known as a material for resilient components u.a. under the trade name "Cellasto". Compared to non-cellular materials such as rubber, these cell-like plastics have the advantage that their volume is reduced during elastic deformation and does not remain nearly the same
- the spring elements 9 shown in detail in FIG. 3 are designed as cell volcano springs.
- a cylindrical spring 9, preferably with an inner bore, is positioned on the right and left of the common pivot point M by being fixed on the outside by a correspondingly shaped holding edge 10 on the backrest plate 3 and on the opposite side by a retaining pin 19 on the support plate 1.
- These springs 9 preferably support torsional and, in some cases, also transverse movements of the backrest with respect to the support plate.
- the holding edge 10 can also be used as a defined end stop against the support plate 1, with a stiffening in the example edge of the support plate 1 is used.
- the distance between the springs 9 and the pivot point M is determined by the selected spring travel and the necessary spring force and is approximately 70 mm in the exemplary embodiment.
- the spring 13 is also clamped between the backrest and support plate in the sagittal direction of movement and is thus preloaded.
- the deformations resulting from sagittal movements of the user act at an angle of 90 ° to the transverse ones.
- the spring 13 is thereby loaded in two directions according to its ability.
- the V-shape of the nose means that the more you move, the greater the transverse movement of the backrest leans against the backrest, which happens above the pivot point M. This also corresponds to the subjective feeling of the user, who feels cross-tension on the skin the more unpleasant the more intense it is, which in turn depends on the pressure on the back.
- stop lug 8 Other geometric shapes of the stop lug 8 are also conceivable. e.g. the same effect is also achieved by a truncated cone-like stop nose which engages in a corresponding hole in the support plate.
- the universal joint which can be pivoted on all sides, can in principle be designed in all known forms which allow the necessary movement angle of approximately 15 ° on all sides.
- the ball joint shown, in which the ball socket 14, 15 points to the rear, has proven to be particularly inexpensive, both in terms of cost and the biodynamic sequence of human movements, so that the center M of the ball on the cushion surface in the region of the lordosis kink point, about the 4th to 5th lumbar vertebrae.
- the center M there are no relative movements when the backrest is pivoted, and the movements of the spine originate from the lower region of the lumbar vertebrae; there is her zero point.
- the center point M would generally be behind the backrest cushion, so that upper body movements would always result in a relative path of the cushion surface in the lordosis area with respect to the human upper body.
- the ball joint shown in FIGS. 1, 2, 3 is formed on the one hand by a ball segment 14, which is a component of the support plate 1, and on the other hand by a ball segment 15, which is a component of the backrest plate 3.
- the collar length of the fastening screw ensures the necessary bearing play of the mutually movable ball segments.
- the ball segment 15 of the backrest plate 3 has an enlarged through hole compared to the collar screw, which is necessary so that the backrest plate 3 and thus the backrest can carry out the intended movements. If the coefficient of friction of the three parts which form the ball joint is not sufficiently small, they can advantageously be coated with a dry sliding layer, e.g. Teflon, coated or lubricated in the traditional sense.
- a dry sliding layer e.g. Teflon
- the principle of the ball joint can also be changed by applying a loose ball socket segment on the opposite side of the support plate instead of the loose ball segment on the back of the backrest plate.
- the joint described could be simplified in that, for example, a hat-shaped plastic part made of correspondingly elastic plastic is attached with its bottom to the support plate 1 and with its edge to the backrest plate 3, or vice versa.
- a hat-shaped plastic part made of correspondingly elastic plastic is attached with its bottom to the support plate 1 and with its edge to the backrest plate 3, or vice versa.
- backrest plate 3 it is also conceivable, for example for the backrest plate 3, to select a sufficiently elastic material from the outset and then to design the hat as part of the backrest plate 3.

Abstract
Description
Dabei zeigt:
- Fig.1 eine erste Ausführungsform in perspektivischer Explosions-Darstellung,
- Fig.3 Schnitte A-A, B-B und C-C der Ausführungsform nach Fig 2.
