Claims (2)
- Lingotière pour la coulée continue verticale d'une bande en acier, qui comporte des parois latérales larges et des parois latérales étroites, refroidies, les parois latérales larges délimitant une zone de coulée élargie qui comporte des surfaces de transition et ne s'étend que sur une partie de la hauteur de la lingotière et sui se rétrécit vers les côtés étroits et dans la direction de la coulée pour atteindre le format de la bande coulée et les parois latérales larges étant, de chaque côté de la zonede coulée, jusqu'à la paroi latérale étroite correspondante, à une distance l'une de l'autre sensiblement égale à l'épaisseur de la bande, caractérisée en ce que, des deux côtés de la zone de coulée (6), les parois latérales larges (1, 2) comprennent des secteurs inférieurs B, B', parallèles l'un à l'autre, et des secteurs supérieurs C, C' qui recouvrent le plan (8) de la surface normale du bain, que les secteurs C, C' sont inclinés suivant un angle = 1 à 3° de manière à élargir la cavité de la lingotière et que la largeur des parois latérales (3, 4) est adaptée à cet élargissement.
- Lingotière selon la revendication 1, caractérisée en ce que les secteurs C, C' descendent jusqu'à une profondeur T de 20 à 60 mm au-dessous du plan (8) de la surface normale du bain.
