Abstract

The container (1) which has a rectangular contour and vertical side walls (3) can be picked up or set down by a transport vehicle by means of an exchange apparatus, which is known per se, with a tipping bridge, along which a container can be moved. Each container (1) has slide elements (6, 7) in the region of its bottom and, in the region of that part of its upper opening edge which is formed by the side walls, longitudinal guides for a supporting guiding of the slide elements of a container placed on top, and locking elements (9, 10) for fastening to an adjacent container in each case in the stack consisting of several containers. In this case, upper longitudinal edges (8) are constructed as longitudinal guides and the slide elements (6, 7) are constructed as rollers mounted on the container. <IMAGE>

Description

The innovation relates to a box-shaped, open-top swap body with a rectangular plan and vertical side walls, which can be picked up or removed from a transport vehicle by means of a known swap device with a tipping bridge, along which a container can be moved.

It is known to stack interchangeable containers with suitable lifting devices such as boxes, as a result of which the space required for such containers can be reduced. Empty containers are usually transported to the installation site by trucks, which are equipped with the appropriate exchange devices. Such change devices are also known under the name of skip loader. The vehicles equipped with it can pick up, transport and set down swap bodies. Both when setting down and when picking up the containers are moved along a tilting bridge which is aligned in the longitudinal direction of the motor vehicle. The containers are thus picked up or set down over the rear of the motor vehicle by being moved in the longitudinal direction. The tilting bridge can also be inclined in the manner of an inclined plane. Containers picked up by the changer are lifted at the front and pulled onto the tipping bridge or, in a pushing motion, set down again from the tipping bridge. The putting on and taking off of the Container thus takes place in that the vehicle and container move longitudinally relative to each other.

With such a longitudinal displacement, however, the containers with the change devices mentioned cannot be stacked on top of one another.

The innovation is based on the task of designing containers with straight walls in such a way that they can also be stacked on top of one another with conventional changing devices.

According to the innovation, this object is achieved in that each container has sliding elements in the region of its bottom, that each container has longitudinal guides in the region of the part of its upper opening edge which is formed by the side walls, for supporting guidance of the sliding elements of a container placed above it, and that each container Has locking elements for fixing to a container in the stack of several containers adjacent.

The sliding elements with which each container is provided can lower when the container is lifted at the front end onto the longitudinal guides of the next lower container in the stack and thereby enable a sliding movement of the container both when stacking and when unstacking on these longitudinal guides. The shifting movement for the purpose of stacking causes the change device. For the purpose of securing the transport, the stacked containers are firmly connected to one another with the locking elements. A stack of two containers placed on top of one another can then be picked up, for example, by a vehicle with a tipping bridge by pulling the respective lower container of the stack onto the tipping bridge as usual.

The longitudinal guides can be parts attached to the container. For example, attached or welded profile rails can be attached.

According to an advantageous development, the upper longitudinal edges of the container are designed as longitudinal guides, which makes the arrangement of special longitudinal guides unnecessary. For example, the longitudinal edges of an open-top container equipped with appropriate reinforcements can be used as longitudinal guides.

The sliding elements can be slide shoes placed under the container or the like, block-like elements. However, the sliding elements are particularly advantageously designed as rollers mounted on the container, by means of which the friction during the displacement movement when stacking the containers is very much reduced.

Each roller is expediently a profile roller and the longitudinal guide is a profile rail adapted to the profile roller. Profile rollers have the advantage that there is a perfect longitudinal guidance during the displacement movement of a container to be stacked.

A safe support of a container to be stacked on the next lower container in the stack is achieved in that a sliding element is arranged at the front and rear of each container side. Each side of the container is thus on two sliding elements on the associated longitudinal edge of the container located in the stack below. A total of four sliding elements or rollers on each container are sufficient. However, it is also possible to arrange, for example, six sliding elements, three on each side.

For a transport lock one on top of another Th container existing stack locking elements are provided on each container, which consist of the sliding path of a stop located in the stack at the top of the container stops, as well as at least one actuatable clamping bolt and a fitting which can be brought into engagement with the clamping bolt of the container next to the stack. The stops determine the stacking position of a container placed on another container, and the containers can be mutually secured with the clamping bar. The stops are expediently designed in such a way that they both prevent a sliding movement of containers placed on top of one another and secure them against tilting movements. The stops are arranged in the rear area of each container so that they perform their function as soon as an upper container pushed onto a container for the purpose of stacking has reached its end position, which is given, for example, as soon as the rear walls of the stacked containers are almost flush with one another. Since each stop is designed as a hook-shaped clamp finger projecting from the longitudinal edge in the region of the container end, which laterally and from above comprises a sliding element of the adjacent container supported on the respective longitudinal edge in a hook-like manner, the stop prevents the displacement movement and tilting movements of a stacked container. Of course, a stop can also be designed in the form of a corresponding pocket into which a finger-like pin or the like engages as soon as the stacked container has reached its end position.

Each locking bolt can be actuated in the manner of a toggle lever tensioner which has a tensioning lever articulated on the container and a tensioning pawl articulated on the tensioning lever, which acts on the associated fitting on the adjacent container. Such locking bolts can advantageously be on the front of the container are brought and can be pivoted out of the sliding path for pushing the containers together for the purpose of stacking. To secure the stacked container, the clamping lever can be pivoted upwards until the clamping pawl engages in the corresponding fitting of the container above. By turning the clamping lever downwards, the pawl pulls on the fitting, whereby the two containers stacked on top of each other are pulled against each other and secured.

In an advantageous embodiment, it is provided that the clamping bolt is designed at the same time as a fitting eyelet, in which the hook of an interchangeable device can engage in order to pick up, put down or stack the containers with the interchangeable device.

An exemplary embodiment from which further inventive features result is shown in the drawing. The drawing shows two identical, stacked containers in a side view.

Each container 1 or 1 'has the shape of an open top box, with bottom 2 or 2', vertical side walls 3 or 3 ', vertical rear walls 4 or 4' and slightly obliquely outwardly inclined front walls 5 and 5 ' . Under the bottom of each container are formed on each side as rotatably mounted rollers sliding elements 6, 7 and 6 ', 7'. The container 1 'is supported with its sliding elements 6' and 7 'on the upper longitudinal edge 8 of the container 1. The opposite side of the container, which is not visible here, is equipped with similar sliding elements, so that the container 1 with the sliding elements stands on the longitudinal edges of the side walls 3 of the container 1 below.

To form the stack shown from the containers 1, 1 ', the container 1' with its rear sliding elements 7 'is first placed on the longitudinal edges 8 of the lower container in the region of the front front wall and then pushed further back until the rear sliding element 7' strikes a stop 9 limiting the sliding path . This stop 9 is a protruding from the longitudinal edge 8 of the container 1 hook-shaped clamp fingers, which includes the sliding element 7 'hook-like laterally and from above. The container 1 is secured by the clamp finger 9 against displacement movements and unintentional tilting movements. As shown, the upper container 1 'also has a stop 9' formed as a clamp finger.

Each front wall of the container is also equipped with a clamping bolt 10, 10 ', which is designed in the manner of a toggle lever tensioner and has a clamping lever 11' articulated on the container and a clamping pawl 12 articulated on the clamping lever, which, as shown here, on a fitting 13 'Of the container 1' attacks. The container 1 has a similar fitting 13.
