Die erfindungsgemäße Duschkabine zeichnet sich durch eine Reihe erheblicher Vorteile aus. Mittels des verfahrbaren Schlittens ist es möglich, die an diesem befestigte Düse gezielt oberhalb bestimmter Bereiche der Liegefläche und damit auch oberhalb bestimmter Körperpartien des Patienten anzuordnen. Es ist somit möglich, einzelne Körperteile, beispielsweise die Füße, die Unterschenkel oder den Oberkörper einer Wasserbehandlung auszusetzen. Dies kann sich insbesondere bei der Behandlung von Durchblutungsstörungen oder Kreislaufbeschwerden als besonders vorteilhaft erweisen. Durch die Verfahrbarkeit des Schlittens ist eine räumlich begrenzte Wasserbeaufschlagung möglich. Da die Düsen relativ zum Schlitten verschwenkbar und höhenveränderbar sind, ist es möglich, sowohl die Aufprallenergie der einzelnen Wassertropfen durch Veränderung der Fallhöhe zu beeinflussen, als auch den Auftreffwinkel auf die Oberfläche des Körpers des Patienten. Die erfindungsgemäße Dusch- und Badekabine ermöglicht somit eine Behandlung des Körpers des Patienten, die einem Abbrausen des Körpers durch eine von einem Therapeuten geführte Handbrause entspricht. Es läßt sich somit eine besonders feinsinnig steuerbare und den jeweiligen Gegebenheiten anpaßbare Therapie durchführen.
