Definitions

  • the invention relates to devices for assembling crosspieces and cladding to constitute, in particular, palisades, partitions and facing.
  • the cladding constituting the palisades, partitions, facing and the like are assembled to crosspieces (themselves carried by uprights to which they are secured, for example by nailing, screwing, bolting, or even by clamping devices such as riders crossing plates fixed with nuts, depending on the shape and the material of which the crosspieces and the uprights are made) so as to constitute continuous screens.
  • the devices for assembling the cladding and the sleepers themselves depend on the shape and the material of this part, and also use nails, rivets, staples, screws, bolts and nuts, or to the coupling of profiles themselves fixed respectively to the cladding and to the sleepers.
  • All of these assembly devices have in common the disadvantage of being unable to dismantle without visible deterioration of the cladding and / or crosspieces, which makes it impossible to reuse the equipment subsequently or to change the arrangement of the cladding (for example by tilting laterally to obtain a different visual effect in the case of cladding with longitudinal ribs or juxtaposed cladding of different colors).
  • the object of the invention is in particular to solve this problem, and also to create a solid and relatively inexpensive assembly device.
  • the invention relates to a device for assembling crosspieces and cladding to constitute, in particular, palisades, partitions and facings, the cladding being provided with longitudinal rails, device characterized in that it includes wedges adapted to slide along the slides and to be locked in a chosen position, thanks to a removable locking means, and at least one member for fastening to the crosspieces, and in that the wedges and said member are secured by pivoting fastening means allowing the rotation of the leg relative to the wedge.
  • the fence shown in Fig. 1 produced in accordance with a technique prior to the invention, consists of juxtaposed panels pre-assembled in the workshop, one of which is shown in a position that it is likely to occupy during mounting.
  • This fence has 1 sealed uprights. in the ground and supporting, by means of collars 2, horizontal crosspieces 3.
  • These crosspieces 3 are for example aluminum profiles comprising a body 31 provided with at least one cavity 32 opening to the outside and having a cross section in C (but with flat walls), and a wing 33 carried by the upper face 34 of the body 31 and directed upwards.
  • the collars 2 are constituted for example by U-shaped jumpers whose free ends of the branches are threaded and closing plates, the jumpers enclosing the uprights, and the closing plates, inserted in the C-shaped cavity of the crosspieces, being provided with holes in which the arms of the jumpers are threaded, the jumper-upright-crosspiece-closure plate assemblies being held tight by nuts screwed around the threaded branches of the jumpers.
  • the panels are constituted by cladding 4 which each extend vertically and are juxtaposed side by side while being held together by two profiles 5 extending here horizontally and having a cross section in Z whose wings are perpendicular to the central body, l '' one of the wings being pressed against the cladding and fixed to them on their face intended to be on the side of the crosspieces, while the other wing, separated from the cladding, has its free end downwards.
  • the profiles 5 are spaced the same distance as the crosspieces 3 so that to put the panels in place, it suffices to press them against the crosspieces 3, each angle. 5 slightly above a respective cross member, and to translate these panels down until the wings 33 of the cross members are inserted between the cladding 4 and the wings of the sections 5 which are spaced from the cladding.
  • This fence of FIG. 1 has the drawbacks already mentioned, this is why, according to the invention, a new assembly device has been created, using cladding 6 (FIG. 2) having longitudinal grooves forming a slide 61 (for example two grooves ) and having a C-shaped cross section but with flat walls; these slides 61 emerging from the side of the cladding 6 which is pressed against the crosspieces 3, are behind ribs 62 produced in relief on their opposite face, at least one wall 63 constituting the bottom of the slide separating the latter from the hollow part of the ribs 62.
  • cladding 6 FIG. 2
  • cladding 6 having longitudinal grooves forming a slide 61 (for example two grooves ) and having a C-shaped cross section but with flat walls; these slides 61 emerging from the side of the cladding 6 which is pressed against the crosspieces 3, are behind ribs 62 produced in relief on their opposite face, at least one wall 63 constituting the bottom of the slide separating the latter from the hollow part of the
  • the cladding slides are intended to receive shims 7 for positioning and fixing members such as lugs 8, 80 for individual fastening of the cladding 6 to the sleepers (which may be identical to those already described, or even be, for example , made of wood, possibly fitted with an attached wing 33 belonging for example to an L-shaped angle iron fixed on them).
  • the cladding 6 is individually secured to the crosspieces 3 by means of legs whose position is adjustable on the one hand from one end to the other of the slides and on the other hand in orientation, thanks to their fixing by pivot on the wedges.
  • the wedges 7 are blocks of substantially parallelepipedal shape elongated in plastic material, for example in molded or injected polypropylene, of width and thickness slightly less than the width and the depth of the rails 61 of the cladding 6.
  • the parallelepiped shape is only approximate; in fact, in their end regions, the shims have a narrower width than in their central region; one of the end regions has lateral chamfers 71 to facilitate the introduction of shims into the slides by the ends of the cladding; the other end region has a zone in which two brake wings 72 are formed, slightly in lateral projection and going away from the central region at the end of the wedge, without however reaching this end; in order to perform their braking function, these two braking wings (one on each side) are elastic, and, at rest, the ends which are furthest apart from their outer faces are distant by a distance slightly greater than the width of the slide; to give them their elasticity, they are separated from the end region of the shim by a slot 73.
  • the shims also have, on their face opposite to that which is against the bottom of the slide 61, that is to say their face which is close to the area where the slide opens to the outside, at least one, and here two guide pads 74, in excess thickness, the width of which is slightly less than the spacing of the opening through which the slide emerges outside the cladding; the total thickness of the shims is therefore very slightly greater than the total depth of the slides and the studs 74 allow guiding along said slides.
  • the wedges are pierced with two holes 75, 76, one intended for the attachment of the tab, and the other, higher and possibly tapped, to receive a means intended to ensure their own blocking in the slide, spaced apart.
  • the hole 75 for securing the tab is between the two guide pads 74, and, in the face of the wedge which is against the bottom of the groove, it is widened to constitute a housing whose role will be mentioned later ;
  • the hole 76 for the locking means is in the end region where the brake wings are formed.
  • This means of blocking the wedges 7 in the slides 61 is constituted by a screw 9, here of a special type to be nailed, engaged in the hole 76 of the corresponding wedge, longer than the thickness of the latter, so that when screwing or nailing it fully (and by force) in the wedge, it bears against the bottom wall 63 of the groove or it smashes this wall if one admits its deterioration, and that its nets keep it blocked as well as the wedge 7 in the position it occupies at this time.
  • the locking screw 9 can thus be unscrewed to remove the blockage, and be without disadvantages screwed back to the same place or to another.
  • the wedges 7 can also be produced in the form of two separate parts arranged one above the other, the lower part comprising the connection hole 75 of the tab and not being blocked by itself in the groove. , and the upper part comprising the hole 76 for the locking means; with this embodiment, the cladding, because of its weight, is no longer movable downwards, and, moreover, can not be moved upwards only actuated by an external force exerted on them
  • each section n is attached to this ca the that in a place, where is thus arranged a pivot allowing any orientation of the tab; for this purpose, the latter comprises a single hole 83 for securing to its wedge, and the pivot consists of the body 84A of a rivet 8A or the rod 84B of a bolt 8B passing through this hole 83 of the tab 8 and the hole 75 for securing the wedge 7; the head 85A, 85B of this rivet or of this screw is in abutment either against the tab 8, or, on the contrary, against the wedge 7, while being housed in the housing thereof which has already been mentioned, while that the opposite development of the rivet or the nut 8D cooperating with the bolt is supported on the other side.
  • the tab according to this embodiment is intended to cooperate, like the Z profile of the prior art, with a wing 33 of a similar cross member, or a wing 33 of a profile fixed on a cross member of any kind, for example a cross member wooden square or other section; the installation of the cladding 6 is identical to that of a panel of the prior art.
  • the other embodiment of the tab (reference 80 in FIGS. 5 to 7) is presented as a square (L-shaped section of angle iron) comprising, as the first embodiment and for the same reason, a single hole for fixing to the wedge 7 intended for an identical securing pivot, in one of its wings 81 (for simplicity, the numerical references are the same); this embodiment is intended for wooden crosspieces 3, having a flat fixing face 34; for this purpose, the other wing of the tab has a hole intended for the passage of a nail 10 or the like, having a head of large diameter intended to press on this wing when it is pressed into the crosspiece for its attachment to this last.
  • the tab is provided elastic, with complementary attachment means 86A, 86B.
  • the elasticity of the leg is imparted by its relative thinness; however, so that this elasticity can be more easily located and therefore controlled, the right angle of the square is reinforced by a rib 87 while the wing for securing to the wedge is made so as to be at rest slightly bent towards the inside the square (at elbow 88, the angle, obtuse, is almost equal to a flat angle, a few degrees).
  • the same wing has two projections 86A stamped in prominence relative to the face of the wing which is against the cladding, therefore forming depressions in the opposite face.
  • the other wing (that of connection to the cross) has two pins 86B in prominence relative to the face of the wing which is against the cross 3, from a "punctured "of triangular shape made in this wing.
  • the securing wing to the cross member 3 is not parallel to the face 34 for fixing this cross member; also, a nail having a relatively large head is introduced into the hole provided for this purpose; it suffices to give a violent hammer blow on the head of the nail 10 to drive it into the wooden cross-member, as well as the two lugs 86B of complementary securing, while deforming the tab, which causes the projections 86A to take support against the cladding 6, or even smash it slightly if you admit its deterioration.
  • the connection thus obtained is very solid; of course, a wooden cross 3 can also be secured by means of lugs 8 according to the first embodiment; it suffices to fix an L-shaped angle on its face 34 of attachment, for example by nailing.
  • the means for blocking the shims against the slides and the pivot securing means are combined, that is to say that the same screw 8B passing through the hole 83 of the tab 8 also crosses the wedge 7 right through and takes support against the wall 63 constituting the bottom of the cladding or smashes this wall (this embodiment is not shown).
  • the upper hole 76 of the wedge may be absent, and the connection hole 75 is tapped.
  • Another case in which the upper hole 76 of the shim can be eliminated is that of FIGS. 5, 6, and 7, because, in many cases, the projections 86A are sufficient to secure the shim 7-tab 8 assembly to the cladding 6 .
  • the cladding 6 can be provided, for example with two or three slides (therefore two or three ribs) longitudinal, respectively 125 or 200 mm wide; one of their side walls has a groove 64 of nesting with the neighboring cladding, while the opposite side wall has a rib 65 intended to be introduced into the groove of the neighboring cladding on the side opposite the first (Fig. 2 and 5).
  • the cladding 6 can be single-colored or of several colors, for example two-colored.
  • the fixing of the crosspieces to the uprights can be carried out by means of various devices, such as those described with reference to FIG. 1, with collars or rods with threaded ends engaged in holes of closure plates disposed against the face of the uprights which is on the opposite side of the sleepers, and locked by nuts, etc.
  • the sleepers can also be fixed end to end by a wide variety of devices, for example nested intermediate parts, screwed, bolted parts, snap-in systems, etc.
  • the palisade also includes uprights 1 sealed in the ground, collars 2 made up of tie rods 21, the head of which is held in sleepers 3 and the body of which carries clamping plates 22, these crosspieces 3, and cladding 6.
  • the cladding 6 is here in all respects similar to that which has already been described, and their elements bear in FIG. 10 the same reference numbers as before.
  • the uprights 1 support, as we have seen, said horizontal crosspieces 3, by means of tie rods 21.
  • These crosspieces 3 are, for example, aluminum profiles and comprise in one piece a body 31, provided with a slide 32 opening out to the exterior opposite the cladding and having a cross section at C (but with flat walls) for the housing of the head of the tie rods, and a wing 33 carried opposite the slide on the upper face 34 of the body 31 and directed upwards.
  • the two tie rods located on either side of the upright 1, have their hexagonal heads inserted into the cavity 32 in C of the cross member 3, and their free threaded ends pass through the holes in the plate. tightening 5, nuts placed on the threaded ends of the tie rods making it possible to block the clamping plate against the upright 1, and therefore to fix the cross-member 3 on this upright.
  • the cladding is assembled and fixed to the crosspieces 3 by means of a device comprising shims 7A, 7B adapted to slide along the slides 61 and to be locked in a position chosen by a removable locking means, for example a screw 9
  • the crosspieces 3 carry, directly or not (for example by means of a profile 5), a fastening slide 51 extending longitudinally relative to the crosspiece and in a substantially fixed position transversely to this one.
  • This slide 51 is defined by lips 52 (lower and upper) retaining against the cladding, lateral walls 53 for guiding, and a bottom.
  • the wedges comprise a joining head 77A, 78A; 77B, 78B with pivot of the cladding to the crosspieces, inserted in the slide, free mounted in longitudinal sliding therein, with the exception of end wedges whose head, free at the time of their assembly, is fixed when all the cladding corresponding to the same slide 51 are in place, heads guided by the retaining lips and the side walls.
  • the slides 61 of the cladding 6 are adapted to receive in particular shims 7A shown in FIG. 11.
  • These shims 7A allow the positioning and fixing of profiles 5 which are supported by the crosspieces 3.
  • said crosspieces can be identical to those already described, or still be, for example, made of wood, provided with a wing belonging to a bracket attached to said crosspiece).
  • the most distant ends of the wings 72 of the wedges 7A, 7B are spaced a distance slightly greater than the width of the slide 61.
  • the elastic wings 72 therefore tend to deviate laterally and therefore brake said wedge 7A, 7B.
  • the wedge 7A also comprises a head for securing the cladding to the sleepers disposed between the two studs 74, this jointing head, in one piece with the parallelepipedic block, consisting of a pin 78A of shape cylindrical tubular and a groove 77A for connecting this pin to the block.
  • This pin 78A has a diameter slightly less than the width of the block and a depth substantially identical to the thickness of this block.
  • the groove 77A like the studs 74, has a diameter slightly less than the spacing of the opening through which the slide 61 of the cladding 6 opens out to the outside of this cladding.
  • the wedge 7A is also pierced with a tapped hole 76 intended to receive a screw 9 ensuring its own locking in the slide 61, this tapped hole 76 being located in the end region where the braking wings 72 are formed.
  • the screw 9 which is longer than the tapped hole 76 bears against the bottom wall 63 of the slide 61 or possibly knocks it down, and the shim 7A is thus locked in the position that she occupies at that time.
  • Said locking screw 9 can be unscrewed without problem to remove the blockage, and can be screwed back to the same place or another.
  • the joining head 77A, 78A protrudes out of the cladding, and it is then possible to slide a section 5 of appropriate dimensions on the aligned joining heads of juxtaposed cladding.
  • FIG. 13 illustrates an alternative embodiment of the wedge 7, which is referenced 7B.
  • This wedge has great resemblances to wedge 7A, but its attachment head is not in one piece with the block.
  • the chamfers, the wings, the slot, the guide studs and the tapped hole remain identical to the shim 7A and bear the references 71, 72, 73, 74, 76 respectively.
  • This wedge 7B is provided with another tapped hole 79 receiving a screw 77B around the body of which a washer 78B has previously been slid, the diameter of the body of the screw 77B being less than the spacing of the retaining lips.
  • the diameter of the washer 78B is substantially identical to that of the pin 78A of the previous embodiment.
  • This new embodiment of the shim is particularly advantageous for the end cladding of a crosspiece, which can thus be fixed by screwing the screw 77B at the bottom, blocking the washer 78B against the retaining lips of the slideway. - even in support against the cladding.
  • the screw 77B and the washer 78B can be replaced by a second wedge 7B, riveted or fixed by screw on the first wedge 7B.
  • the first wedge 7B is introduced into the slide 61, and the second wedge 7B, which projects outside, is oriented at 90 ° relative to the first so that a slide of suitable dimensions a profile 5 (described below) can be slid longitudinally over the second wedges 7B.
  • the profile 5 comprises a body provided with a cavity 51 forming a slide, opening to the outside and having a cross section in C (with flat walls).
  • the slide 51 therefore has a flat bottom, flat lateral guide walls 53, and as we have seen, lower and upper retaining lips 52 intended to come into abutment against the cladding, between which it opens out .
  • a flat rim 54 is carried by the upper face of the gutter 51 and extends upwards, externally to the slide 51, the upper retaining lip.
  • a wing 55 projecting downward is located set back from the lower retaining lip, approximately at the center of the lower face of the gutter 51: its free end is slightly bent opposite the plane of the retaining lips, therefore siding.
  • the depth and width of the slide 51 are slightly greater than the height and the diameter of the pin 78A, while the thickness of the lips is slightly less than the height of the groove 77A and their spacing is slightly greater than the diameter of that -this, in order to allow free relative sliding of the securing heads 77A, 78A and of the slide 51. Furthermore, thanks to the fact that the wing 53 is slightly bent outwards, the introduction of the wing 33 of the cross between the wing 55 of the slide 51 and the cladding 6 at the time of assembly is greatly facilitated. This mounting of the fence will now be described.
  • the uprights 1 are fixed in the ground and the crosspieces 3 on these uprights by means of the tie rods 21.
  • Several cladding 6 are assembled using the grooves 64 and the ribs 65, then the wedges 7A or / and 7B are placed the slides 61 of the cladding, in general a wedge 7B at each end of the fence and the wedges 7A in the center thereof.
  • the profile 5 is then made to slide on the washers 78B or the pins 78A.
  • the cladding 6 is placed in their chosen relative position, and the screws 9 are forcibly screwed in order to block the shims at the corresponding location and thus immobilize the cladding.
  • the ends of the slides 51 of the profiles 5, in which shims 7B are fitted provided with screws 77B and washers 78B, have a light 56 provided in the bottom of the slide (opposite side of the retaining lips). This light 56 allows access to the screws 77B, once the section 5 in place. It is thus possible to block the profile 5 against the cladding 6 and to prevent the profiles from sliding.
  • the palisade is placed on the crosspieces 3 on which it is held thanks to the wings 55 which come to cover the wings 33 of said crosspieces, the mounting being facilitated by the fact that the wings 55 are slightly inclined towards the outside.
  • this device it is thus possible to produce fences whose cladding is vertical at the same level or offset, but just as easily whose cladding is inclined, which makes it possible to give a different visual or even decorative effect.
  • the section 5 carried by the cross member 3, remaining horizontal, the cladding 6 can be inclined relative to the vertical even after a first assembly in the vertical position, thanks to their possibility of sliding in the slides 51 of the section.
