Um dies bewerkstelligen zu können, sind an einem Träger 11 mittels zweier auf diesem beispielsweise mit Hilfe von Zahnstangen 22, in die Antriebsritzel eingreifen, verfahrbarer Schlitten 12 und 13 acht jeweils paarweise angeordnete Greiferarme 14, 15 bzw. 16, 17 bzw. 18, 19 bzw. 20, 21 angebracht, die um ihre Längsachsen verdrehbar in den Schlitten 12, 13 gehalten sind. Beim Einfahren des Autos 2 in die Vorrichtung 1 verlaufen die abgewinkelten Enden der Greiferarme 14 bis 21 parallel zur Längsachse des Autos 2. In dieser in Figur 1 strichpunktiert eingezeichneten Betriebsstellung werden die einzelnen Paare der Greiferarme 14 bis 21 mittels Servoeinrichtungen 23 zusammengezogen und arretiert, so daß die abgewinkelten Enden der Greiferarme 14 bis 21 an jedem der Räder 3 vorn und hinten fest anliegen.
