  • Such a known plastic film forms, with its webs, fastening ribs on one side, which should preferably be introduced in a clamped manner in the hardenable substrate. Abstract

1. Plastics material film (4) for an insulating covering for building surfaces provided with profilings which extend parallel to one another, are alternately open and have a dovetailed cross-section, characterised in that a wide-meshed non-woven netting (3) is fixedly applied to the rear surface (4a) of the plastics material film (4), the filaments (31, 32) are disposed on the rear surface of the non-woven netting (3) so as to protrude partially therefrom, and the non-woven netting (3) is pressed into the portions forming the face which abuts against the building surface, i.e. it is pressed into the rear surface of the plastics material film, or respectively it is partially sealed therein.

Description

The invention relates to a plastic film for an insulating building surface covering according to the preamble of claim 1.

The application of cladding on or in buildings in the form of ceramic plate coverings or a plaster is often problematic. Damage in the form of cracks or detachment of the cladding from the subsurface often occurs when different expansion stresses occur in the wall or floor subsurface and in the cladding. The penetration of moisture through the cladding can also lead to damage, for example with gypsum or chipboard as a substrate. Ceramic plate coverings are often laid using the so-called thin-film process, which uses a suitable contact adhesive. It turns out to be difficult in practice to find suitable adhesives that are equally suitable for both the substrate and the back of a ceramic plate. The materials to be bonded are so different in practice that the adhesive used in each case always remains a compromise.

Since such a plastic film is stretchable in the transverse direction to the profiling, it enables a length compensation for the width adjustment to the substrate. Such a known plastic film forms, with its webs, fastening ribs on one side, which should preferably be introduced in a clamped manner in the hardenable substrate. The formed, dovetail-shaped grooves open to the outside serve to satisfy aesthetic requirements and to remove moisture in the vertical direction with appropriate installation.

Plastic films of this type can generally only be sufficiently attached to a wall in a mortar or adhesive if the contact layer is sufficiently thick so that the mortar or adhesive engages almost completely in the dovetail-shaped joints formed. The mortar filling the joints or the hardening adhesive limits the elasticity of such a built-in plastic film transverse to the direction of the webs.

From AT-PS 381 527 a heat-insulating outer building cladding is known, consisting of a thermal insulation layer which is attached to the outer wall of the building, and a plaster base made of expanded rib metal arranged at a distance from the thermal insulation layer, on the outside of which a plaster layer is applied. In the space between the thermal insulation layer and the plaster base, a longitudinally extending, trapezoidally shaped plastic plate with a cross-section is fastened on the building side, the profiling of which runs perpendicular to the longitudinal direction of the outer wall of the building. The plaster base is attached to the air and moisture-permeable plate, which has been perforated accordingly. In order to prevent mortar from getting into the space between the thermal insulation layer and plaster base when the plaster layer is applied, a fabric mat can be provided on the side of the plaster base facing the plate.

Such a building exterior cladding does not allow for a compensation of the stresses occurring between the building and the plaster layer due to the built-in, appropriately profiled plate made of plastic, which is rigidly connected to the plaster base made of expanded rib metal, it is also due to the necessary openings in the plate and the necessary screw fastening in the building not impermeable to moisture in relation to the building.

The object of the invention is to prepare a plastic film for insulating building surface cladding with mutually parallel mutually open, cross-section dovetail-shaped so that it can be used to create moisture-impermeable structures in which tensions originating from the substrate or cladding are largely compensated can, and in which the selection of the connecting means to be used such as adhesive or mortar is facilitated.

This object is achieved in that a coarse-mesh net fleece is firmly attached to the back of the plastic film, that the threads on the back of the net fleece are partially arranged above and the net fleece in the sections forming the building-side contact surface, i.e. is pressed or partially melted into the back of the plastic film.

Such a moisture-impermeable plastic film according to the invention is adhesively bonded to the building base with a contact layer using the film side provided with the mesh fleece. The threads of the nonwoven serve as clamping elements, which greatly improves the contact connection between the substrate and the plastic film. The mesh fleece prevents the adhesive or mortar from penetrating to any appreciable extent into the grooves that are open on the building side. The plastic film attached in this way to the substrate can now serve as a carrier for claddings, such as ceramic plate coverings, which are fastened with a mortar or adhesive in a thicker layer. From the front of the plastic film, the mortar is applied over the entire surface and the joints are filled. Ceramic plates or plastering mortar are then applied to it in a known manner. The plastic film is used in particular for surface clothing when tensions between the surface and clothing have to be balanced, for example in the area of walls or floors in which heating devices are installed. Since the grooves of the plastic film remain open from the rear, this film used as an intermediate carrier remains sufficiently stretchable transversely to the webs and is thus able to withstand the stresses that occur to compensate for the underground and outer cladding to a large extent.

The invention also includes the proposal to provide an unprofiled smooth overlap section at the end and / or at the beginning of such a plastic film, which facilitates the laying of such films.

  • Fig. 4 einen Schnitt nach der Linie 11-11 in Fig. 2.
The invention is explained in more detail below on the basis of an exemplary embodiment depicted in principle. It shows
  • 1 shows a cross section through the structure of a wall clad with the plastic film and ceramic plates applied thereon,
  • 2 is an enlarged partial view of the end of an inserted plastic film,
  • Fig. 3 is a section along the line II in Fig. 2 and
  • 4 shows a section along the line 11-11 in FIG. 2nd

The plastic film 4 shown in the figures is profiled, as can be seen particularly in FIG. The profile is formed from parallel, mutually alternating dovetail-shaped webs 41 and grooves 42. The back, which is used to fasten the subsurface, bears the number 4a, the front facing the cladding side bears the number 4b.

Clamping elements are provided on the rear side 4a in the form of a glued-on or partially melted-in coarse machine mesh fleece 3. The threads of this mesh fleece 3 bear the numbers 31 and 32. Such a mesh fleece spans the entire rear side 4a. This fleece can only be omitted in the upper and lower region, in which a flat overlap section 43 is formed.

Due to the selected profiles, such a plastic film is stretchable in the transverse direction to the webs 41. The front 4b of the plastic film is particularly smooth with respect to the individual surfaces, since in certain applications the adhesion of a filler layer to be applied should be avoided if possible.

In the wall construction shown in FIG. 1, an adhesive layer 2 is applied to the wall base 1, for example made of plasterboard or chipboard. Plastic films 4 of appropriate size and covering are glued onto this layer. The overlap sections can additionally be sealed by gluing or welding. The mesh fleece 3 provided on the rear side 4a of the plastic film 4 clings with its threads 31 and 32 in the adhesive layer 2 and is thus firmly connected to the wall base 1. A leveling mortar 5 is applied to the front side 4a, which penetrates into the grooves and clings there due to the undercuts. The smooth, leveled surface formed then forms the base for the clothing to be applied, which in the exemplary embodiment is a plate covering made of ceramic plates 7. To fix these ceramic plates 7, the suitable adhesive 6 is applied to the leveled surface. The ceramic plates 7 are then applied in the known thin-bed method.

If a plastering mortar is to be applied, it can be applied directly to the front of the film or to the leveled surface, if necessary with a plaster. In the case of direct application, it can also be expedient to provide additional clamping elements in the form of a coarse machine nonwoven also on the front of the film.
