Definitions

  • Known refrigerated display cases usually include two types of display cases, a conventional type where the products are entirely displayed on shelves or trays mounted in the display case, and a type of front loading where the products are presented on the one hand on shelves fixed in the upper part of the showcase and the other on trolleys or pallets set up by the front side, in the lower part of the enclosure of the showcase.
  • Refrigerated display cases of the conventional type have in their lower part an insulating tank which makes it possible to avoid losses of cold and which often receives systems for producing cold and circulating cold air.
  • Refrigerated display cases of the front loading type have cold production and cold air circulation systems mounted either in their upper part or in a sheath adjoining their rear wall.
  • the lower insulating tank To transform the known refrigerated display cases of the conventional type into refrigerated display cases of the front loading type, the lower insulating tank must be removed and the cold production and cold air circulation system which may be transferred to their upper or rear part find. To transform the showcases of the front loading type by trolleys or pallets, it is necessary to rearrange the lower part of their enclosure, to install shelves or trays for the presentation of products and possibly insulate them to reduce cold losses.
  • the present invention makes it possible to produce an economic refrigerated display case convertible easily, quickly and without the intervention of specialists, either into a refrigerated display case of the conventional type or into a display case of the front loading type by trolleys or pallets.
  • a known refrigerated display case of the conventional type with manual loading diagrammatically illustrated in FIG. 1, comprises thermal insulation walls 2, 3 in its upper and rear parts, an insulating tank 4 in its lower part, shelves 5 and a tray 6 for the presentation of products for sale.
  • the cold is produced by a refrigeration system 7 and the cold air is circulated in the display case 1 by a ventilation system 8.
  • the supply of products from the shelves 5 and the tray 6 is done manually and in a more or less careful for a good presentation.
  • a known refrigerated display case of the type with front loading by trolleys or pallets 10, schematically illustrated in FIG. 2, comprises thermally insulating walls 11, 12 only in its upper and rear parts, and shelves 13 in the upper space 16 of its pregnant.
  • the lower space 17 of its enclosure, delimited at the top by the shelves 13 and at the bottom by the floor 14, is available or free to receive the trolleys or pallets 15 filled with products, schematically represented in broken lines, which are introduced therein by the front side of the display case.
  • the supply of products from the lower space 17 of the showcase 10 can thus be done quickly by trolleys or pallets 15 while the supply of products from the shelves 13 of the upper space 16 of the showcase 10 is done manually. a usual way.
  • the refrigerated display case of the front loading type by trolleys or pallets 10 meets the requirements of a high-speed sale on busy days when the supply frequency is high and the refrigerated display case of the conventional manual loading type 1 is suitable for a medium or low flow sales on more or less off-peak days when a presentation of the products must be treated to give them better appeal.
  • a transformation of a known refrigerated display case of the conventional type with manual loading 1, the front of which is fixed, into a known refrigerated display case of the type with front loading by trolleys or pallets 10 mentioned above requires a transfer of the refrigeration system 7, in a rear or upper part of the display case, disassembly of the lower product presentation tray 6, removal of the insulating tank 4 in order to completely free the lower part of the enclosure of the display case to facilitate the introduction and removal of the carriages or pallets 15 filled with products, and possibly the installation of a washable front.
  • Such a transformation can only be carried out by specialists and results in an interruption of use of the display case for a more or less long duration.
  • a transformation of a known refrigerated display case of the front loading type 10 into a known refrigerated display case of the conventional type 1, recalled above, is done by providing the display case 10 with an insulating tank 4, with a presentation tray. of products 6 in the lower part of its enclosure and of a facade.
  • This transformation also requires the intervention of specialists and an interruption of use of the showcase for a more or less long duration.
  • a convertible refrigerated display case 18 produced according to the invention a conversion of the display case from its state of the conventional type to its state of the front-loading type is carried out in the absence of any intervention by specialists and in a reduced time.
  • a convertible refrigerated display case 18, schematically and partially illustrated in FIG. 3, comprises an upper insulating wall 19, a rear insulating wall 20, a rear vertical cold air duct 21, an upper horizontal cold air duct 22 and a system for producing cold 23 and for circulating cold air 24 mounted inside this vertical cold air duct 21 to produce, through the ducts 21, 22, and through an air diffuser 25, a front curtain of cold air 26 indicated by arrows with a single point.
  • the display case 18 comprises against the wall of the rear cold air duct 21, spaced openwork vertical posts 28 intended to receive by hooking in their openings 29, lugs 30 removable supports 31 of horizontal shelves for presenting products 32.
  • the convertible refrigerated display case from its state with manual loading to its state with loading by trolleys or pallets and vice versa 18 comprises in combination in the lower part of its enclosure at least on the one hand from top to bottom, a tray lower pivoting for the presentation of products 33 and a removable wall for collecting liquid and / or thermal insulation 34, and on the other hand on the front side, a retractable or liftable wall for support and front 35.
  • the lower product presentation tray 33 is pivotable by its rear edge 36, around a horizontal axis 37, near the vertical posts for holding the supports 31 of the shelves 32, and provided at the level from its front edge 38 of a retractable foot 39 which rests on the ground and supports it independently of the retractable support and front wall 35 while the removable wall for collecting liquid and / or thermal insulation 34 is supported at level of its front edge also independently of the retractable support and front wall 35 by a shoulder 40 formed in this retractable foot 39 and at its rear edge by a support or several spaced supports 41.
  • the support and front wall 35 can be freely raised or retracted when the lower product presentation tray 33 and the liquid collection and / or insulation wall 34 are in place, which allows a cleaning the space under the refrigerated display case 18 and possibly using this display case partially in the front loading type by trolleys or pallets and partially in the conventional manual loading type.
  • the pivoting lower product presentation tray 33 is inclined towards the front and the removable liquid collection and / or thermal insulation wall 34 slopes backwards.
  • a gutter 42 is fixed below the rear edge of the removable wall 34 to evacuate the collected liquids to the outside.
  • the support and front wall 35 is mounted retractable or liftable by mechanical means of known type. This support and front wall 35 can for example be held by lateral arms 44, shown in broken lines, pivoting around the horizontal axes 45 and preferably provided with counterweights 46 which facilitate the raising or lowering of the wall support and front 35 is slidably mounted by its ends in grooves not shown formed in the side walls of the convertible display case 18.
  • the retractable support and front wall 35 is also provided with a shock-absorbing bar 47.
  • the convertible refrigerated display case 18 comprises outside the cold air curtain 26, an ambient air curtain 48, represented by arrows with double point, formed through a horizontal duct of ambient air 49 and a diffuser. ambient air 50 and by means of an ambient air circulation system 51.
  • the refrigerated display case 18 is lit by an electric lighting system comprising tubes or bulbs 52, 53.
