Definitions

  • the invention relates to a recessed ceiling light according to the preamble of claim 1.
  • Such recessed ceiling lights are used for their installation in false ceilings from below into an opening of the false ceiling in question and then the beams must be brought into the intended carrying position, in which they rest on supporting profiles of the false ceiling, and fastened in these positions.
  • the previous solutions for this are unsatisfactory.
  • the adjusting mechanism for adjusting the support designed as a two-armed pivot lever can only consist of the adjusting screw guided in a thread of the bearing part, since this can act directly on the short arm of the pivot lever.
  • This is structurally extremely simple, reliable and also enables extremely simple, stepless adjustment of the pivoting lever to any desired angular position in which it sits on the supporting profile of a false ceiling, only by turning the adjusting screw using a hand tool attached to it, such as a screwdriver or a key, depending on the design of the lower end area of the adjusting screw.
  • the set screw is there easily accessible from below in the luminaire housing for turning using the hand tool and can also be turned at any time without removing the luminaire to adjust its height.
  • the adjusting screw also allows sensitive adjustment of the desired altitude. For example, if the luminaire housing has a flange on the underside, it can be carefully applied to the false ceiling from below by turning the set screws without the risk of overloading.
  • the lower end region of the set screw can preferably have a slot or a cross slot for attaching a screwdriver.
  • the bearing part and the pivoting lever can be inexpensively and stably manufactured in one piece by stamping and bending from sheet metal, the bearing part preferably being made of spring-elastic sheet metal in order to be able to clamp it in a particularly simple manner under its own pretension on the lamp housing by clipping it into openings to be able to attach by him.
  • the swivel lever also enables the luminaire housing to be steplessly adjusted to different heights to adapt to the support profile arrangement of the false ceiling concerned.
  • the bearing part can preferably have a U-shaped area, the two legs of which are attached to the relevant side wall of the lamp housing and on each of which a hook-shaped projection is arranged, which penetrate at least one opening in the lamp housing and each have a cutout or undercut into which the relevant side wall of the lamp housing engages positively. It is then only necessary to hold this bearing part on the lamp housing in a position in which this positive engagement of the relevant side wall of the lamp housing in the free cuts of the hook-shaped approaches is secured. This can be done in different ways.
  • the bearing part can preferably have at least one resilient tongue, which penetrates an opening in the lamp housing and rests at one edge thereof with resilient prestress, so that the hooks of the bearing part thereby come into contact with their free cuts Press on the engaging side wall edge areas.
  • the hooks can be directed downwards, it is particularly expedient to point them upwards and to arrange the resilient tongue on the underside of the bearing part, since this tongue can then expediently have the thread for the set screw, so that it thereby has a double function.
  • bearing part can also be provided.
  • E.g. can often also be provided to weld it to the lamp housing by spot welding or to fix it in some other way.
  • the pivot lever is adjustable in an upright position in which it does not hinder the insertion of the lamp housing into the relevant opening of a false ceiling and that he then from this position, in which he preferably sit with his short arm on the adjusting screw can be pivoted by the adjusting screw so that his long arm falls on the relevant support profile or is moved by the adjusting screw on it.
  • the set screws are then adjusted by turning them upwards until the long arms of the Swivel levers are set to the angular positions that result in the desired height adjustment of the lamp. So it is an extremely simple, quick installation of the recessed ceiling light on the support profiles possible, which is so simple that it can be done easily even by inexperienced people.
  • the set screw can preferably not be mechanically connected to the pivot lever, but rather the pivot lever can only rest on it, so that it then forms a support for loosely resting the pivot lever. If desired, it is also possible to mechanically connect the adjusting screw to the short arm of the pivoting lever in such a way that the pivoting lever can be forcibly pivoted in both directions of rotation by the adjusting screw.
  • the short arm can advantageously have a longitudinal slot which is penetrated by the adjusting screw and the adjusting screw has an annular shoulder or the like above and below this slot, which are wider than the slot and of which the lower ring shoulder or the like.
  • the support for the short arm of the pivot lever forms. At least one such shoulder can be formed, for example, by the adjusting screw having a separate ring, for example a snap ring, which is inserted into an annular groove in its main body above its thread.
  • the swivel levers can have any suitable training. They can preferably form stamped and bent sheet metal parts, to which bearing journals are formed by stamping, which are inserted into bearing bores in the bearing part and which cause the pivoting lever to be pivoted on the bearing part.
  • the pivot lever can have a long plate-shaped area which forms the long arm and an area of the short arm, with this area of the short arm being adjoined on the upper side by a right-angled, preferably flat area, which on the one hand supports the bearing journals and on the other hand a front leg forms an angle consisting of flat material, the rear leg of which is angled approximately at right angles to the front leg, the adjusting screw in the upright position of this pivot lever on the rear leg of the angle and in the carrying positions of the pivot lever, in which his long arm sits on the support profile of the false ceiling concerned to carry the lamp, engages the front leg of the angle.
  • the swivel lever can be manufactured in a particularly simple and cost-effective, extremely stable manner only by punching and bending.
  • the recessed ceiling light 10 shown in the drawing has a straight, cuboid, elongated light housing 11 with straight longitudinal side walls 12, end walls 12 ⁇ and a ceiling 12 ′′.
  • the invention is not limited to this, but can also be provided accordingly in any other embodiment of luminaire housing, for example in the case of luminaires with round, oval or other luminaire housings.
  • the lamp shown is one of a solid ceiling 15 by means of a total of four supporting devices 13 of identical design on two supporting profiles 14 arranged on their two longitudinal sides suspended false ceiling 16 stored.
  • Your luminaire housing 11 has on its long sides 12 an upwardly open channel 17, which are located directly below the lower crossbars 19 of the relevant support profiles 14 and from there the luminaire housing 11 projects into the space between the false ceiling 16 and the solid ceiling 15 inside.
  • the individual carrying device 13 consists of only three one-piece parts, namely a bearing part 20 with a set screw 21 and a double-armed, approximately straight pivot lever 22 pivotably mounted in the bearing part 20.
  • the bearing part 20 consists of resilient steel and is formed in one piece as a stamped and bent part. It has a U-shaped main body 23 which extends essentially over its height, the two legs 24 of which are attached to the relevant longitudinal side wall 12 of the lamp housing 11 with their vertical free longitudinal edges 47 which extend parallel to the central web 46. On these edges 47, hook-shaped projections 25 are arranged in the vicinity of their upper ends, their upwardly open cutouts 26 in the lower regions approximately like this are wide as the side wall 12 in question is thick. These hooks 25 penetrate slots in the relevant side wall 12 of the housing 11 and this side wall projects positively from above into the lower areas of the free cuts 26.
  • This bearing part 20 also has a base designed as a resilient tongue 27, which integrally merges into the vertical central web 46 of the U-shaped main body 23 at an angle of approximately 90 °. 4 in the relaxed state projects obliquely downwards and projects laterally beyond the main body 23, it penetrates a slot in the relevant side wall 12 of the lamp housing 11 and is pressed against the lower edge of this slot with resilient prestress. This resilient tongue 27 is thus pressed upwards into an approximately horizontal position by this slot edge.
  • tabs 30, 31, which are integral with the tongue, are angled obliquely downwards and obliquely upwards, as shown, the tongue 27 being formed and obliquely formed by a U-shaped stamping of the tongue Rag 30 angled below abuts the outside of the side wall 12 so that the bearing part 20th hereby secured against pulling off in the horizontal direction.
  • the upper tab 31 extends over the width of the resilient tongue and has the same inclination to the horizontal as the lower tab 30. This upper tab 31 serves to make the mounting of this bearing part 20 on the side wall 12 particularly easy.
  • the hooks 25 are first inserted through the slot or slots assigned to them in the side wall 12 and then the lower region of the main body 23 of the bearing part 20 is pressed onto the side wall 12, the upper tab 31 of the resilient tongue 27 being in contact comes to the lower edge of the slot in question of the side wall 12 and as a result the tongue 27 is pressed upwards, the lower tab 30 then also pushing it further upwards. Then when the lower tab 30 is led out beyond the lower edge of the slot out of the housing 12, the resilient tongue 27 snaps back into the approximately horizontal, spring-loaded position shown in FIG. 2 and the assembly of this bearing part is complete with that already ended. It can therefore also be carried out in a matter of seconds in the manner described without the aid of tools.
  • the bearing part 20 has in the two legs 24 Bores 29 on.
  • This pivot lever 22 has a long, flat, plate-shaped main region 33, which forms the long arm 34 and a lower region of the short arm 35 of the pivot lever 22.
  • a bay-shaped recess 36 is let in from above, into which a front flat leg 39, angled at right angles from the main part 33 and extending in the longitudinal direction of the long arm, of an approximately rectangular angle 37 consisting of flat material projects on the upper side.
  • the rear or rear flat leg 40 of the angle 37 is directed approximately vertically in the horizontal position of the long arm 34 of the pivot lever 22.
  • the two journals 32 are in one piece Swivel lever 22 is integrally formed, by means of which it is rotatably mounted in the respective bearing holes of the bearing part 20 which are in alignment with one another.
  • the front leg 39 of the angle 37 merges into the main part 33 in the region of the short arm 35 at an angle of 90 °.
  • the pivot lever 22 is rigid and bent from a correspondingly punched blank so that the region of this blank, which forms the angle 37 with the bearing journal 32, is angled by 90 ° from the plane of the main region 33 and then the rear leg 40 the angle 37 forming region of this blank is bent upwards by 90 °.
  • a zigzag-shaped, straight toothing 41 is formed by punching the blank, with which the long arm 34 on the relevant one Support profile 14 in the operating position of the lamp 10 sits on it in a load-bearing manner. This toothing 41 improves the hold of the lamp housing 11.
  • the horizontal axis of rotation of the pivot lever 22 runs parallel to the relevant side wall 12 to which the bearing part 20 is attached.
  • the plate-shaped main area 33 of the pivot lever 22 extends in a vertical plane.
  • the main body 23 of the bearing part 20 is also directed vertically like the associated side wall region and in this exemplary embodiment can abut with the upper ends of the legs 24 of the main body 23 against the ceiling 12 ′′ of the lamp housing 11, this with force caused by the resilient tongue 27 he follows.
  • the bearing part 20 is held absolutely securely in its predetermined position in a non-positive and positive manner.
  • the pivoting levers 22 can be pivoted into the vertical position (FIG. 3) for the insertion of the recessed ceiling light 10 into the false ceiling 16. Since the plate-shaped main areas 33 partially protrude into the interior of the lamp housing 12, as shown in FIG. 3, corresponding openings are provided on the lamp housing 11, which can be designed as narrow slots.
  • a threaded bore 42 is provided in the resilient tongue 27 near its rear end, into which the set screw 21 designed here as a grub screw is screwed.
  • the set screws 21 of all four support devices 13 are screwed down so far that the pivoting levers 22 can assume the upright position shown in FIG. 3, in which the rear legs 40 of their angles 37 on the upper Loosely rest the ends of the set screws 21.
  • These upper ends of the adjusting screws 21 form supports 43 for the angle 37 of the swivel levers 22.
  • the lamp is then inserted through the opening in the false ceilings until the two channels 17 of the lamp housing 11 abut the crossbars 19 of the relevant support profiles 14.
  • the set screws 21 are screwed up by hand by means of a screwdriver inserted into their underside slots, whereby they push the short arms 35 of the pivot levers 22 upward and thereby pivot the pivot levers 22 so that their long arms 34 are inclined from the vertical positions reach inclined positions and now, if necessary, these pivot levers can fall through their own torque on the support profiles 14 since they with the set screws 21 in this Embodiment are not positively connected. Or, if the pivot levers 22 are mounted with sufficient difficulty, this downward pivoting of the long arms 34 is carried out entirely by means of the adjusting screws 21.
  • the short arms 35 of the pivot levers 22 penetrate openings 44 in the central webs 46 of the U-shaped bodies 23 of the bearing parts 20.
  • the long swivel lever arms 34 when they rest on the support profiles 14, can be adjusted continuously from obliquely upwards to obliquely downwards by means of the adjusting screws 21.
  • the bearing parts 20 are located essentially in the interior of the housing 11 and from it only the 25 serving for its attachment and the end region of the tongue 27 having the tabs 30, 31 protrude from the bearing part 20, whereas in particular the U-shaped one Main body 23 with its bearing holes for the rotary bearing and the main area of the tongue 27 having the thread 42 for the set screw 21 are located in the interior of the housing 11, which is particularly favorable.
