Definitions

  • the invention relates to a security device for buildings, and more specifically for buildings comprising at least one wall, for example a facade, at least partially glazed, essentially consisting of a rigid structure, preferably metallic, to which one or generally several glass panels are associated, so that the structure is not visible.
  • a safety device according to the invention will advantageously be provided for each of the front glass panels or other wall of the building.
  • the rigid, generally metallic structure of the building defines at least one frame on which a glazed panel is rigidly associated by means of association by simple bonding, without glazing beads with interposition of seals between the interior surface of the panel and the structure .
  • These means of association of the panel with the chassis of the structure may be faulty. For example, they can deteriorate after a certain time, in particular under the effect of bad weather. In this case, the glass panel detaches from the structure and falls.
  • the outer pane can separate from the inner pane, for example under the effect of an increase in pressure in the air space separating the two panes, and fall.
  • the fall of such a panel which can weigh a considerable weight, in particular in the case of multiple insulating glazing, or of its outer glass, can cause considerable damage to objects or persons located at the foot of the building.
  • the invention aims to overcome these drawbacks and proposes a security device for a building with a glass wall and / or facade comprising at least one glass panel consisting of at least one glass rigidly associated by bonding to a chassis of a rigid structure by the 'Intermediate of at least one joint of association of the panel with the chassis, normally permanently active and interposed between the interior face of the interior glass and the chassis characterized in that it comprises at least one part associated with the chassis with play and at a edge or at a corner of the panel and forming means for holding in place in the vicinity of the chassis and / or for destroying all or part of the panel, these means being normally inactive, and being active in the event of failure of the joints of association of the panel with the frame and / or means of association with one another of the panes constituting the glazing of the panel, in order to prevent the panel or part of its glazing falling in one block.
  • a device according to the invention is invisible from the outside, and does not spoil the exterior aesthetic appearance of the building.
  • the device according to the invention comprises means for destruction of at least the exterior glass of the panel.
  • the destruction means act on this pane only and breaks it before it falls.
  • the device according to the invention comprises means for holding at least the internal window preventing at least any fall of this window if the means of association of the panel with the structure fail.
  • the glazing of the panel is of toughened type glass breaking into a multitude of small pieces
