Definitions
- the present invention relates to a method for producing a letter form according to the preamble of claim 1 and a letter form according to the preamble of claim 6.
- Letter forms of this type which consist of a sheet which can be formed by one sheet or a plurality of sheets lying one on top of the other and connected to one another, are known, for example, from CH-A 609,634 and US-A 3,482,780.
- the inside of the sheet is printed with information and a shipping address.
- the sheet is then folded once or twice and the two or three sheet parts are glued together along their edge.
- the labeling on the inside of the sheet is covered with the exception of the delivery address.
- the latter is visible through a window.
- the address field on one sheet part with the address of the recipient and the window to be provided on another sheet part must therefore be arranged in such a way that they are opposite one another when the sheet is folded. The consequence of this is that you are not free to choose the arrangement of the address field and window, especially if the place where the delivery address has to appear for a letter is specified by existing regulations.
- a rectangular address part is provided in one half of the form, which can be folded back along a long side onto the back of the form sheet and is held in the normal position by means of a holding film which can be glued to the back of the form sheet which the address part is on the level of the form sheet.
- the address part is folded back for its labeling, which enables the address part and the back, i.e. to label the inside of the form sheet in the same printing process. After the inscription, the address part is folded back so that the inscription comes to rest on the outside of the form sheet. Supplements inserted between the halves of the folded form sheet cannot cover the labeling of the address section, but a certain amount of effort is required for labeling and then closing the form sheet.
- the present invention has for its object to provide a method of the type mentioned, which allows the production of letter forms in a simple manner, in which there is greater freedom in the arrangement of the address field and window than in known letter forms and where there is a risk there is no unintentional covering of the delivery address by inserted inserts.
- Such a letter form is characterized by the features of the characterizing part of claim 6.
- the delivery address or the information about the recipient is no longer printed on one sheet part, but on the back of the window and the address field thus lies on the back of the window, the provision of an address field on another sheet part can be omitted.
- the address field is therefore no longer decisive for the arrangement of the information to be printed on the inside of the sheet.
- the window can be arranged at any suitable or the prescribed location without this having any significant consequences for the arrangement and design of the printing (text, tables and the like) to be applied to the inside of the sheet.
- the delivery address or recipient identification cannot be covered by inserts.
- the letter form 1 shown in the figures consists of a sheet 2, the inside of which is labeled 2a and the outside of which is labeled 2b.
- the sheet 2 consists of two halves 3 and 4, which are separated by a transverse fold line 5. Both sheet halves 3, 4 are provided on the side edges 6, 7 with edge strips 8, 9 having transport perforations (FIG. 1). These edge strips 8, 9 can be separated along dividing lines 10, 11.
- a circumferential dividing line 14 runs at a distance from the side edges 6 and 7 as well as 12 and 13. The latter defines with the side edges 6, 7, 12 and 13 a circumferential edge section 15.
- the part of the edge section 15 located on the arch half 3 carries an adhesive strip 16.
- the arch half 4 is provided with an address window 17 which is formed by an opening 18 in the arch half 4. This opening 18 is covered by a cover sheet 19, the back 19a and the front is designated 19b.
- a delivery address 20 is applied to the rear side 19a of the cover film 19 in mirror writing, ie in a page reversed text in which the right and left are interchanged, as can be seen from FIG. 1.
- the inside 2a of the sheet 2 is provided with a print 21, for example a text, numbers, tables and the like, in the area lying outside the window 17. There is no need to provide an address field on the arch half 3, since this is located on the rear side 19a of the window 17.
- the unfolded sheet which may already be pre-printed on the outside 2b and partly also on the inside 2a, is provided with the printing 21 on its inside 2a.
- the delivery address 20 applied in mirror writing.
- the perforated edge strips 8, 9 are separated.
- the sheet 2 is then folded along the fold line 5.
- An insert 22 can be inserted between the folded sheet halves 3, 4, as shown in FIG. 2.
- the two sheet halves 3, 4 are glued together along their side edges 6, 7, 12, 13.
- Fig. 3 the closed and ready for verand letter form 1 is shown.
- the delivery address 20 previously applied in mirror writing to the back 19a of the cover film 19 is correct when viewed from the front 19b of the cover film 19, i.e. no longer reversed.
- the insert 22 behind the window 17 does not cover the delivery address 20.
- the sheet halves 3, 4 are folded onto one another, the inscription 21 is covered and cannot be seen from the outside.
- the edge section 15 is separated along the dividing line 14.
- the cover sheet 19 can be transparent or opaque, e.g. be milky, although in the latter case it also shows the delivery address 20 applied. This can be achieved, for example, by the cover film 19 becoming transparent or translucent when printed at those locations where the delivery address 20 is printed.
- the sheet 102 has two fold lines 103, 104 which run at a distance from one another and by which the sheet 102 is divided into three sections 105, 106, 107, namely a central part 106 and two Outer parts 105, 107.
- the window 17 with the delivery address 20, which is applied in mirror writing on the back of the cover sheet 19 of the window 17, is arranged in one of the outer parts 107.
- the sheet 102 is now folded so that the sheet part 107 with the window 17 is placed over the other outer sheet part 105, so that the window 17 comes to rest on the unlabeled rear side 105a of this other outer sheet part 105.
- the sheet parts 105, 106, 107 are glued together along their side edges.
- the sheet 2, 102 can consist of one sheet or a plurality of sheets lying one on top of the other and joined together.
Abstract
Description
The present invention relates to a method for producing a letter form according to the preamble of
Letter forms of this type, which consist of a sheet which can be formed by one sheet or a plurality of sheets lying one on top of the other and connected to one another, are known, for example, from CH-A 609,634 and US-A 3,482,780. With such letter forms, the inside of the sheet is printed with information and a shipping address. The sheet is then folded once or twice and the two or three sheet parts are glued together along their edge. The labeling on the inside of the sheet is covered with the exception of the delivery address. The latter is visible through a window. The address field on one sheet part with the address of the recipient and the window to be provided on another sheet part must therefore be arranged in such a way that they are opposite one another when the sheet is folded. The consequence of this is that you are not free to choose the arrangement of the address field and window, especially if the place where the delivery address has to appear for a letter is specified by existing regulations.
Furthermore, these known two-part letter forms have the disadvantage that no insert can be inserted between the folded halves of the sheet, since one would cover the address field unless the insert was so small that it was unable to cover the address field and the insert would also be fixed so that it cannot slip in front of the address field.
In the letter form known from EP-A-0 138 413, a rectangular address part is provided in one half of the form, which can be folded back along a long side onto the back of the form sheet and is held in the normal position by means of a holding film which can be glued to the back of the form sheet which the address part is on the level of the form sheet.
The address part is folded back for its labeling, which enables the address part and the back, i.e. to label the inside of the form sheet in the same printing process. After the inscription, the address part is folded back so that the inscription comes to rest on the outside of the form sheet. Supplements inserted between the halves of the folded form sheet cannot cover the labeling of the address section, but a certain amount of effort is required for labeling and then closing the form sheet.
From US-A-3 550 841 an envelope is known which differs from the letter forms described above, in which there is a separate pocket for receiving an address card. The window of this bag is covered by a transparent cover through which the address printed on the address card is visible. Behind this pocket there is another pocket which is used to hold the printed information carrier to be sent.
The present invention has for its object to provide a method of the type mentioned, which allows the production of letter forms in a simple manner, in which there is greater freedom in the arrangement of the address field and window than in known letter forms and where there is a risk there is no unintentional covering of the delivery address by inserted inserts.
According to the invention, this object is achieved by the features of the characterizing part of
Such a letter form is characterized by the features of the characterizing part of
Since, according to the invention, the delivery address or the information about the recipient is no longer printed on one sheet part, but on the back of the window and the address field thus lies on the back of the window, the provision of an address field on another sheet part can be omitted. The address field is therefore no longer decisive for the arrangement of the information to be printed on the inside of the sheet.
Furthermore, the window can be arranged at any suitable or the prescribed location without this having any significant consequences for the arrangement and design of the printing (text, tables and the like) to be applied to the inside of the sheet. The delivery address or recipient identification cannot be covered by inserts.
By affixing the delivery address or the recipient identification to the back of the window in mirror writing, it is ensured that the typeface appears in the usual font from the front of the window and can therefore be read effortlessly.
Preferred further developments of the subject matter of the invention are described in the dependent claims.

The arch half 4 is provided with an

In an electronically controlled printer, e.g. a laser or inkjet printer, the unfolded sheet, which may already be pre-printed on the outside 2b and partly also on the
As FIGS. 2 and 3 show, the

The
It goes without saying that the application of the
In a
