Definitions
- the invention relates to locking rings for bottle, wide neck or similar container closures according to the preamble of claim 1, consisting of a fastening part to be placed on the outside of the container closure and a plurality of securing claws attached thereto. After the closure has been put in place, the securing claws grip a container under an annular bead attached to the outside thereof. When the lock is opened or unscrewed for the first time, the locking claws get caught on the ring bead and are thereby more or less separated from the fastening part of the locking ring.
- a locking ring according to the preamble of claim 1 is known from DE-OS 25 54 553.
- the securing claws are separated from one another in the circumferential direction by individual axial expansion slots provided between them.
- the individual locking claws are connected to the fastening part of the locking ring via radial webs. At the transition between the webs and the fastening part, predetermined breaking points with reduced wall thickness are provided.
- the object of the invention is therefore to avoid the disadvantages mentioned and to provide a locking ring for container closures which is simple to manufacture and securely connected to the container closure and which can be recycled in an environmentally friendly manner.
- At least one connecting web is provided, which has a larger cross section than the predetermined breaking points.
- the securing claws get caught under the ring bulge of the container and tear off easily at the predetermined breaking points.
- the torn-off securing claws are held in a coherent ring shape on the securing ring and thus on the removed container closure. They protrude from the container closure like flags and can be mechanically separated from the material of the actual container closure together with the fastening part of the securing ring, in order to enable recycling. From an optical point of view, the actual purpose of the circlip is excellently fulfilled by the protruding flags, namely that it is indicated to the outside that the container has already been opened.
- the connecting webs and the predetermined breaking points are each arranged in the spaces between the securing claws, so that the securing ring can be produced easily and the predetermined breaking points are torn open when the closure is unscrewed for the first time.
- the fastening part of the securing ring has a bead-shaped thickening at the upper edge, with the aid of which it can be firmly anchored to the lower edge of the container closure. If, in addition, according to claim 5, the fastening part of the securing ring has a sawtooth-shaped roughening at the upper end edge, the securing ring is clamped like a hook or in a form-fitting manner with the lower edge of the container closure.
- the number of securing claws can preferably be six or eight, which are distributed symmetrically over the circumference and are held by an equal number of predetermined breaking points.
- the securing ring 1 is pushed onto a container closure 3 by means of a fastening part 2, which has a bead-shaped thickening 4 on its lower edge.
- the fastening part 2 of the locking ring 1 has a corresponding bead-shaped thickening 17 on its upper edge.
- the compressive stresses acting in the circumferential direction between the two beads 4 and 17 are dimensioned such that the container closure 3 with the securing ring 1 and with the very movable securing claws 5a-5h arranged thereon on a ring part 5 can easily be pushed over the corresponding container opening from above .
- the securing claws 5a - 5h arranged on the lower edge of the securing ring 1 or on its fastening part 2 are connected to the fastening part 2 via webs 6.
- the mobility of the locking claws 5a - 5h is set so that, on the one hand, it is guaranteed that it is pushed onto the mouth of the container neck when it is closed and, on the other hand, that the locking claws will be torn off when the container closure is opened for the first time.
- the webs 6, as shown in FIGS. 2 and 4 are designed distributed over the circumference on the one hand as connecting webs 7 and 8 and on the other hand as predetermined breaking points 9 to 16.
- the predetermined breaking points 9 to 16 have much thinner wall thicknesses than the connecting webs 7 and 8, which, when the closure is unscrewed, enable the securing claws 5a - 5h to be permanently attached to the securing ring 1.
- the securing claws 5a - 5h emerge as a flag from the securing ring 1 and thus clearly indicate to the outside that the container has been opened.
- the plastic of the retaining ring can be easily separated from the rest of the closure, if possible, and that fragments do not get into the mouth of the container.
- Fig. 3 shows a further variant of the locking ring 1 with a modified fastening part 2, which engages at its upper edge by means of a sawtooth-shaped roughening 18 at the lower edge of the container closure 3.
- the locking ring 1 has axially shortened locking claws 5a - 5d. This further improves the ability of the locking ring 1 to be plugged onto the container mouths, and the connection technology between the container closure 3 and the locking ring I is simplified. Closure and locking ring are simply plugged into each other and can be easily separated by tangential pressure before recycling.
- the liability between the locking ring 1 and the container closure 3 only has to be dimensioned somewhat larger than the tear-off pressure which occurs when the container closure is unscrewed due to the pulling of the locking claws 5a-5d.

Abstract
Description
The invention relates to locking rings for bottle, wide neck or similar container closures according to the preamble of
A locking ring according to the preamble of
When this known closure is unscrewed from the container, the locking claws tear off the fastening part of the locking ring and remain underneath the container bead as a closed ring, because the axial expansion slots do not go all the way to the lower edge of the locking claws, so that a continuous annular connection in this area the safety claws are present.
Since the securing claws torn off the fastening part remain attached to the container as a ring and have to be laboriously removed when they are reused, such a closure is particularly unsuitable for deposit containers.
The object of the invention is therefore to avoid the disadvantages mentioned and to provide a locking ring for container closures which is simple to manufacture and securely connected to the container closure and which can be recycled in an environmentally friendly manner.
This object is achieved by the features specified in the claims, in particular in
According to this, in addition to the predetermined breaking points on the webs between the securing claws and the fastening part, at least one connecting web is provided, which has a larger cross section than the predetermined breaking points. When the closure is opened for the first time, the securing claws get caught under the ring bulge of the container and tear off easily at the predetermined breaking points. As a result of the additional connecting web, however, the torn-off securing claws are held in a coherent ring shape on the securing ring and thus on the removed container closure.
The subclaims characterize advantageous developments of the invention. According to
According to
According to claim 4, the fastening part of the securing ring has a bead-shaped thickening at the upper edge, with the aid of which it can be firmly anchored to the lower edge of the container closure. If, in addition, according to
Finally, the number of securing claws can preferably be six or eight, which are distributed symmetrically over the circumference and are held by an equal number of predetermined breaking points. As a result of this training, the locking ring is easy to manufacture and yet particularly effective.
- Fig. 1
- einen Behälterverschluß, teilweise im Längsschnitt, mit dem erfindungsgemäßen Sicherungsring;
- Fig. 2
- einen Querschnitt durch den Sicherungsring mit einem Anbindungssteg;
- Fig. 3
- eine Darstellung entsprechend Fig. 1, jedoch mit anderer Ausbildung der Sicherungsklauen und mit veränderter Befestigung zwischen Behälterverschluß und Sicherungsring;
- Fig. 4
- Fig. 1
- a container closure, partially in longitudinal section, with the locking ring according to the invention;
- Fig. 2
- a cross section through the locking ring with a connecting web;
- Fig. 3
- a representation corresponding to Figure 1, but with a different design of the locking claws and with a different attachment between the container closure and locking ring.
- Fig. 4
- a cross section corresponding to FIG. 2, but with two connecting webs.
For this purpose, the
While only one ring flag is formed in the embodiment according to FIG. 2 when opened, the embodiment according to FIG. 4 is two flags formed by two
Fig. 3 shows a further variant of the
