Description

The invention relates to cabinet and / or table furniture which can be mounted on a vertical wall and whose positions on the wall can be changed such that one or more wall cabinets arranged next to one another each have an upper end position close to the wall and a lower end position remote from the wall and / or one or several tables arranged side by side between an upper and a lower end position parallel to the mounting wall and adjustable in any position within the range of motion, each piece of furniture arranged on the mounting wall using an electrically driven device for lifting and lowering the furniture part (s) with the Assembly wall is connected.

Tables and wall cabinets are already known, the use position of which can be changed in height and can be determined at any height within the range of mobility.

Such furniture is usually one with a central column in which a spring mechanism is arranged for height adjustment. To lower the area of use, the spring mechanism is unlocked by lifting a locking lever located under the table surface or under the chair seat, after which the table top or chair seat is raised automatically by the spring mechanism or can be pushed down manually to the desired height. The spring mechanism is fixed in the relevant position by depressing the locking lever.

Crank mechanisms are also generally known for tables, the height of the table top being changeable by actuating a crank. Such crank mechanisms are generally known in particular on four-legged tables in which the legs are at least partially telescopic and their length can be changed by the crank mechanism. For most people with reduced mobility, such height adjustment devices are not suitable, in particular for tables, since a not inconsiderable expenditure of force is required to actuate the crank or to depress the tabletop against the action of the spring mechanism. Such an effort can hardly be achieved by people with reduced mobility, especially since people sitting in a wheelchair.

DE-G 86 09 441.6 has already made known a height adjustment for furniture, in particular for wall cabinets, in which a winding shaft in the form of a tube, which is already known in roller shutter construction, is used with a tubular motor arranged in such a way that it cannot rotate. Here, the drive is connected to a frame supporting the furniture part, the drive having axially spaced gears which are rotatably mounted in the frame and into one intervene in a stationary and vertical position in the frame with regard to the altitude.
In the aforementioned utility model specification it is proposed to provide guide elements on the frame and / or on the furniture part, which are in engagement with fixed guide rails, for example to be attached to a wall of the room, so that the furniture equipped with the height adjustment device is guided securely.
However, the height adjustment device according to DE-GM 86 09 441.6 also has disadvantages.
In particular, this device is not suitable for moving wall cabinets between an upper, near-wall position and a lower, far-wall position, without special supporting and guiding elements for the cupboard or cupboards being required for this. Timing belts, the teeth of which are known to be made of elastic material, cannot withstand a permanent load, such as results from the constant carrying of the entire weight of the filled cabinets, for example in an upper end position, for a long time. If additional holding elements that can be brought into engagement in the respectively desired position are not provided, the teeth of the toothed belt will deform over time, so that a perfect engagement in the gearwheels is no longer guaranteed. As a result, accidents can occur.

DE 31 13 602 A1 discloses furniture for the disabled, in particular cupboard furniture and kitchen worktop, at least part of the furniture being guided so as to be displaceable in a vertical direction and / or in a direction perpendicular to its front face.
Insofar as electric drives are provided for this furniture, they are spindle drives that only perform movements in the vertical direction. The closets are each arranged in a frame made of steel profiles so that a cupboard can be moved by hand from two sides at half height in the frame horizontally and at right angles to the wall between a position close to and away from the wall. The frame is in turn supported by a threaded spindle driven by a motor, which is to be fastened to the building wall in spindle bearings by means of horizontal frame parts made of flat steel.

This construction has significant disadvantages. Moving a cabinet between an upper end position close to the wall and a lower position farther from the wall requires two separate paths and, accordingly, two separate guide devices with different drives. For the horizontal movement, the operating person requires the use of physical strength, which can be quite considerable when the wall cabinet is full and can hardly be applied by a physically weak person.
Security is inadequate. For example, a cupboard can descend vertically near the wall and encounter objects that are placed in the area near the wall on a worktop arranged under the cupboard and destroy it.
The construction effort and the space requirement of such a holder together with the drive device is very large, since the spindle drive with its bearing and the drive motor are accommodated behind the cabinet body and parts of the rack receiving the cabinet body with the horizontal guide rods are arranged next to the side walls of the cabinet body.
The worktop is held in the area of its rear edge by several supports that project vertically downwards and inclined supports connected to them.

The two outer supports are each guided on a vertical rod by means of sleeve-shaped sliding guides. The rods are in turn fastened to vertical frame parts which, together with the horizontal frame parts made of flat steel connecting them, form a frame to be fastened to the building wall. A threaded spindle with a vertical axis of rotation and a geared motor at its lower end is arranged on the frame in the middle between the two outer supports.
This construction is also very heavy, complex and expensive. It also has functional deficiencies. If the worktop is subjected to higher loads on one side, the sleeve-shaped sliding guides on the bars become stiff due to tilting.
So furniture according to DE 31 13 602 A1 could not be introduced in practice.

The invention has for its object to design cabinet and / or table furniture of the type defined at the beginning of the description and in the preamble of claim 1 such that the shortcomings of the known furniture of this type are eliminated.
Wall cabinets are said to be able to be moved and fixed by a handicapped person between an upper, near-wall position and any lower, wall-distant position without the person having to forcefully participate in the movements of the wall cabinets. The guide devices should be designed in such a way that the furniture can be moved easily and safely even when one side is subjected to greater loads. The greatest possible safety for the operator and the material should be guaranteed when the furniture moves.

To achieve the object, the invention provides that such furniture is equipped with the features according to the characterizing part of the claim. The electrically driven device for lifting and lowering the furniture parts is defined with its most important features in claim 2.
The most important features of the drive and guide elements are set out in claim 3.
Further details of the invention emerge from claims 4 to 15.

Due to the inclined arrangement of the guide elements for the wall cupboards, the movements of the cupboards between an upper position close to the wall and lower positions further away from the wall are possible with only one drive device and only one guide device. The operator does not have to be physically involved in performing these movements. It is excluded that a closet descending near the wall may encounter objects that are placed in the rear area on a table located under the closet.
The guide device for tables is smooth and safe even when the table surface is heavily loaded on one side.
The drive and guide devices are much more space-saving in the furniture according to the invention than in the known furniture for the disabled.

In the embodiment according to 1 to 8, a base plate 2 is fastened to a vertical wall 1, on which a plurality of wall cabinets 3 connected to one another are juxtaposed between an upper rear wall End position and a lower end position remote from the rear wall are arranged so that they can be held in any position on this movement path.
Also arranged on the base plate 2 are a plurality of tables 4 arranged next to one another and connected to one another, with a support plate 4a provided near the rear edge of the table between an upper and a lower end position. They can also be held in any position on this route.

To hold and guide the wall cabinets 3, a pair of guide plates 5 flanking the outer side walls 3a of the wall cabinets 3 are fastened to the base plate 2. The side walls 3a of the wall cabinets 3 each have a bore 6 in their upper region near the rear wall, in which a tubular shaft 7, which is passed transversely through the wall cabinets 3 and with a tubular motor arranged in a manner such that it cannot rotate, can be rotated. In the bores 6 of the outer side walls 3a of the wall cabinets 3, a bearing 8 is secured against rotation by means of a flange collar 8a, in which the tubular shaft 7 is mounted. With these bearings 8, the wall cabinets 3 are carried on the tubular shaft 7. If several wall cabinets 3 are arranged next to one another, the bore 6 for the tubular shaft 7 can also be provided with an intermediate bearing enclosing this for at least one inner side wall 3a of a wall cabinet 3.

The ends of the tubular shaft 7 are each non-positively connected outside the wall cabinets 3 with a drive and guide element which extends in the direction of movement of the wall cabinets 3 and extends over the entire movement distance Has guide path and in turn is attached to the adjacent side wall 3a of a wall cabinet 3 flanking guide plate 5.

The drive and guide elements for the tables each have a rectangular-C-shaped guide profile 9, which is fastened in connection with wall cabinets 3 with its wide profile side (rear) to the inside of the guide plate 5 in question in the direction of movement of the wall cabinets 3. In the guide profile 9, an elongated bearing plate 10 is arranged to be movable in the longitudinal direction, the length of which is as much shorter than the guide profile 9 as the movement distance of the wall cabinets. In the middle of the bearing plate 10, the tubular shaft 7 is rotatably mounted with a bearing pin 11 and a chain drive wheel 12 secured against rotation. In the two end regions of the bearing plate 10, two guide rollers 13, 14, 15, 16 are rotatably mounted laterally on the bearing plate 10, axially parallel to the tubular shaft 9, with which the latter is guided in a supporting manner on the two narrow sides of the guide profile 9.
On a narrow side of the guide profile 9 there is a drive chain 17 running in the longitudinal direction next to the bearing plate 10 on the side of the chain drive wheel 12 and in engagement therewith under tension with its two ends on the wall of the guide profile 9. For this purpose, abutments 18, 19 are provided at both ends of the guide profile 9, each of which is penetrated by a screw 20, 21 holding one end of the drive chain 17 and serve as nuts 20a, 21a screwed onto the screw ends. At one end of the drive chain 17 there is a chain tensioner 22 in the form of a package of disc springs which are located on the screw 20 outside the abutment 18 arranged and tensioned by the nut 20a.

The two guide rollers 13, 14 provided on the drive chain-side longitudinal side of the bearing plate 10 are arranged on the surface of the bearing plate 10 opposite the drive chain 17, while the guide rollers 15, 16 provided on the other longitudinal side of the bearing plate 10 are arranged on the surface of the bearing plate facing the tubular shaft 7 are arranged.

Between the sprocket 12 and the guide rollers 13, 14, 15, 16 mounted on the bearing plate 10 in the two end regions of the bearing plate 10, guide sliders 23 with plastic sliding bodies, with which the bearing plate is fixed, are arranged on both sides of the bearing plate 10 opposite the drive chain 17 10 is supported on the one hand on the wide side (rear) of the guide profile 9 and on the other hand on the edges thereof on its open side (front).

On the bearing plate 10 in the longitudinal direction in front of and behind the chain drive wheel 12, a chain deflection wheel 24, 25, which engages with the drive chain 17, is mounted, as a result of which the chain drive wheel 12 is in engagement with the drive chain 17 over a larger part of its circumference.

For the tilt-proof connection of the wall cabinets 3 to the guide plates 5, the bearing plates 10 are each attached to the relevant side wall 3a of a wall cabinet via a plurality of spacers 10a, while the broad side of the guide profile 9 is fastened to the inside of the relevant guide plate 5.

To connect the tables 4 to the base plate 2, a support rail 26 in the form of an angular profile with one of its profile legs, which is arranged with its other profile leg, is arranged in each case on the bearing plate 10 in a plane parallel to this, outside the guide profile 9, in the respective drive and guide elements Is attached to the base plate 12. The longitudinal axis of the support rail 26 in the plane of its leg connected to the bearing plate 10 can be inclined against the longitudinal axis of the bearing plate 10 about a pivot axis 27 near its one end and can be determined within any limits in any inclination. For this purpose, the support rail 26 has, near its end opposite the pivot axis 27, an elongated hole 28 which extends in the longitudinal direction and in which an eccentric 29 can be rotated. This can be determined by means of a locking screw 30 on a bracket piece 31 arranged under the carrier rail 26 on the bearing plate 10.
On the wide side of the guide profile 9 is arranged with its horizontal leg l a table under the chair angle 32 made of square steel tube, the vertical leg attached to the guide profile 9 is firmly connected to the support plate 4a of the table in question.

Due to the inclinability of the longitudinal axis of the support rail 26 to the longitudinal axis of the bearing plate 10, it is possible to adjust the table or tables 4 so that their surface is horizontal even when the base plate 2 is not completely vertical or under high weight loads.

In the case of a plurality of tables 4 arranged side by side, the length of the tubular shaft 7 is approximately half as long as the total width of the tables 4, being perpendicular to the A known rail and roller guide 33 is arranged on each of the two tube shaft ends. This consists in each case of a profile rail 33a fastened to the base plate 2 with an essentially U-shaped cross section and inwardly angled profile leg edges, in which a plurality of roller sets 33b fastened to the carrier plate 4a of the table in question 4 are guided. This gives the tables additional supportive guidance that increases the load capacity of the tables.

The drive and guide elements for the wall cabinets 3 differ for those for the tables 4 in that two spacers 10a are provided on the bearing plate 10 instead of a support rail 26, via which the bearing plate 10 is firmly connected to a side wall 3a of a wall cabinet. Furthermore, the ends of the guide rail 9 are chamfered according to their inclined arrangement and the guide rollers are placed differently on the bearing plate 10 due to the chamfered guide rail ends. Finally, the guide slider 23 can also be dispensed with here.

The invention is not restricted to the example described here.
9 shows a further exemplary embodiment of the invention in the form of a free-standing desk. The base plate 2 is held free-standing by two foot elements in the form of angles 2a made of square tubular steel. One leg of each of these angles 2a is fastened vertically to the inside of the base plate 2, while the other leg is supported horizontally below the table on the floor 1a.
