Definitions
- the invention relates to a rock anchor for driving into anchor holes predrilled in rock or rock, which can be radially elastically preformed.
- Such a rock anchor is described for example in DE-PS 24 05 883. It essentially consists of a slotted tube, so that the rock bolt can be compressed in the radial direction, the width of the slit and thus the diameter being reduced.
- a rock bolt of this type is driven into a borehole, the diameter of which is slightly smaller than the diameter of the rock bolt in the relaxed state. It is thereby achieved that the rock bolt, when it has been driven into the borehole, is in a force-fitting manner against it.
- a rock bolt can be formed from a closed tube with inner and outer longitudinal grooves. This embodiment also achieves elasticity in the radial direction.
- rock anchors have in common that corrosion is a very large, as yet unsolved problem; because in principle the load-bearing element of these rock anchors is a steel tube with a relatively small wall thickness. In contrast to anchors made of round steel, the small wall thickness of 2 to 2.5 mm, as they have these radially deformable rock anchors, leads to corrosion of less than one millimeter to failure of the anchoring.
- the corrosion can now occur in two different forms: If the rock is water-bearing and the boreholes are wet, then the corrosion occurs on the inner and outer surfaces of the rock anchors; but also in relatively dry pits with dry boreholes, anchor-destroying corrosion occurs, which mostly only occurs on the outer surfaces of the rock anchor, which are in contact with the mountains.
- anchor-destroying corrosion occurs, which mostly only occurs on the outer surfaces of the rock anchor, which are in contact with the mountains.
- the temperature difference between the mountains and fresh air in the pit leads to the formation of condensed water, especially since the cooler air can penetrate the open pipe unhindered and only the plate thickness of the anchor lies between the warmer mountains.
- the deformable mass is rigid. This has the advantage that the spring force and the rigidity of the rock bolt is significantly increased. All of these advantages are achieved without any additional effort when driving the rock anchors into the borehole. The low additional costs of filling the anchor cavities do not affect the multiple lifespan achieved and, above all, the higher operational reliability achieved.
- the rock anchor essentially consists of a web and approximately semi-circular flanks adjoining it symmetrically to the median plane of the web, which results in a continuous S-profile and that both resultant cavities with this mass; or foam are filled.

- FIGS. 1-6 show a tubular rock anchor
- Fig. 2 the same in section along the line II-II in Fig. 1 in delivery condition
- Fig. 3 also shows the same in section along the line II-II in Fig. 1, but after driving or installation in the borehole
- Fig. 4 shows the section through a rock anchor, which is designed as an S-shaped nail, before installation
- Fig. 5 shows the same rock anchor in section after installation
- Figs. 6 and 7 show the section of Rock anchors according to U.S. Patent No. 4,284,379.
- the rock bolts 1 and 21 shown in FIGS. 1-3 and 6 essentially consist of a tubular, slotted steel part 2 and 22, respectively. When they are driven into the borehole, which has a smaller diameter than the tube in the relaxed state, these tubes become radial compressed, whereby the widths of column 3 and 23 decrease. This is illustrated in Fig. 3, where a rock bolt is shown inserted into a corresponding borehole. The width of the gap 3 'has decreased significantly.
- the rock anchors 1, 21 are filled with plastic foam 4, 2 4.
- Another embodiment 11 is in ig F. 4 and 5 .
- This rock anchor consists of an S-shaped steel profile, which consists of a web 15 and two semicircular flanks 12, which enable the radially elastic deformation.
- the width of the two gaps 13 is reduced when driving into the borehole.
- the narrow gaps after driving in are designated by 13 'in FIG. 5.
- Both cavities that result from the S-profile are filled with the mass or the plastic foam 14.
- the web 15 is on both sides and the flanks 12 are completely protected against corrosion from the inside. It can clearly be seen here that the original cavity in the two gaps 13 was completely filled by the compression of the plastic foam when the rock bolt was driven in.
- rock anchors 21, 31 are shown in section. In principle, these are pipes 22, 23.
- the rock anchor 21 (FIG. 6) has a longitudinal slot 23, the rock anchor 31 (FIG. 7) consists of a closed pipe 32.
- the rock anchors 21, 32 (FIGS. 6, 7) have continuous, inward-pointing stiffening ribs 25, 35 in the longitudinal direction.
- the ribs 25, 35 increase the longitudinal rigidity, the problem however, the corrosion is the same.
- these rock anchors 21, 31 are more easily radially deformable, so that - like the rock anchor 31 - they can also be designed without a longitudinal slot. According to the invention, these embodiments are also filled with plastic foam 24, 34.
- the rock anchors according to the invention By filling the rock anchors according to the invention with a rigid plastic mass, preferably plastic foam, not only is the corrosion resistance decisively improved, but at the same time the elastic properties are improved; the shear strength is also increased significantly. There is also a completely new effect: by filling the cavity or the cavities of the rock anchors before installation, the filling becomes the mass is elastically compressed during installation by compressing, which exerts an internal pressure on the flanks or on the pipe interior, against the mountains, which prevents a possible relaxation of the tension due to material fatigue or also due to corrosion that occurs despite the filling compound.
- a rigid plastic mass preferably plastic foam
Abstract
Description
Versteifungen in Längsrichtung aufweist.
