Wenn dabei feine Späne zwischen die Gelenkglieder geraten, kann dies zum Verklemmen der Gelenkglieder oder im krassen Fall sogar zur Beschädigung der betreffenden Vorrichtung führen, so daß diese ausgetauscht werden muß. Die Möglichkeit, daß Späne in die Betätigungsmechanik derartiger Spannvorrichtungen geraten können, ist dadurch gegeben, daß diese zwischen den Gabelteilen eines Spannkopfes der Vorrichtung gelagert ist und der Spalt zwischen den Gabelteilen völlig frei liegt, was auch notwendig ist, da der Stellweg des Spannhebels von seiner Spannstellung bis zur Rückstellposition frei sein muß, um die Schwenkbewegung des Spannarmes überhaupt bewirken zu können.Clamping devices of this type are generally known and in use and are used in particular for clamping workpieces to be machined on work tables or specially designed workpiece frames in the context of, in particular, series production. Claims (5)

1. Spannvorrichtung, bestehend aus einem gabelartig ausgebildeten Spannkopf, zwischen dessen Gabelteilen der schwenkbare Spannarm und die diesen schwenkenden Gelenk- und Betätigungsglieder gelagert sind,
dadurch gekennzeichnet,
daß der die Gelenk- und Betätigungsglieder und das gelagerte Ende des Spannarmes (1) aufnehmende Spalt (2) zwischen den Gabelteilen (3) mit einem elastischen Abdeckelement (4) mindestens auf der spannfernen Seite (5) abgedeckt und das Abdeckelement (4) in Form eines Rollfederbandes (4') ausgebildet ist, das mit seinem aufrollbaren Ende am Spannkopf (6) unterhalb der Rückstellposition des Spannarmes (1) gelagert und mit seinem freien Ende (7) am gelenknahen Ende des Spannarmes (1) befestigt ist.
