Abstract

The pneumatic piston mounts a hollow casing (1) inside which is a linkage operated by a rod (3) moved by the pneumatic piston. This linkage rotates a spindle with square ends which project from the casing, and onto which the component is fitted. The spindle rotates in bearings formed by the sides of the casing, and is connected to a U-shaped arm (27) with cranks (30) attached. These are moved by driving arm (10) with a forked bottom and attached to a link (6) mounted on the end of the rod (3). Access can be obtained in the interior through a cover (13) secured by screws to the top of the casing. this casing protects the linkage from weld metal during welding.
