Description

The invention relates to a door handle connection according to the preamble of claim 1.

The handles to be fastened on both sides of a door are connected to one another by means of a square pin which passes through the lock groove. In a simple way, a positive entrainment is guaranteed; when one of the handles is actuated, the other moves inevitably as well, and at the same time the bolt latch is moved back and forth via the corresponding rotation of the lock nut.

The four-k antstift must be anchored so that these sit axially immovable, but rotatable in its bearing in the interior of the handle neck on both handles. There are numerous constructive suggestions for this. A two-part connecting pin according to DE-GM 19 27 916 and 19 37 220 has proven particularly useful, with wider notches with wedge surfaces being present at one end of each pin half, which narrow in two directions and between which one is tapered radially into the handle neck in question Spreading screw grips. This enables adaptation to the respective door thickness. This stable grip connection can be released and reassembled if necessary. Occasionally, however, the seat depth of the expansion screw is too large or too small. As such, a hexagon socket set screw is preferably used which, in unfavorable cases, protrudes from the handle neck or can also dip too deep. A higher manufacturing effort is also required because a left and a right half are required for each square pin; To a certain extent, production and warehousing are burdened twice.

With other fitting connections, it is disadvantageous that various individual parts have to be manufactured and assembled with coordinated tolerances, and special production measures have to be provided in order to achieve an imperfect fastening in the end result, which cannot withstand the usual stresses in the long run. For example, with a connection according to DE-U 1 963 308 the axial migration of the connected handles cannot be prevented with certainty. Only a gradual axial adjustment is possible, which optimally adapts to the respective dimensions of the door, i.e. a flush strike of the handles, not allowed. A common feature of numerous connecting structures is that they require expensive material processing and are subject to heavy wear and tear and are no longer fully effective after repeated loosening or reattaching.

A 538 058 forming the preamble of claim 1 describes a connection with which e.g. a profile bar is attached to a door handle. This can consist of two identical profile halves, each facing each other with a groove that runs close to an outer surface of the rod. This forms a thinner side wall into which a screw with a cylindrical punching head can be screwed. This allows a unique deformation, which leads to the axial securing of the profile halves in the body surrounding them. However, the head shape of the grub screw is neither advantageous for changing the material nor for wedging the profile halves. If the connection is subject to frequent loads with torques and axial forces, such as usually occur on door handles, loosening of the connection is inevitable and better fastening is not possible or only with great difficulty because the profile edges at the first screw point are pre-deformed and do not permit effective re-fastening .

There is therefore a need for an improved door handle connection which avoids these disadvantages and enables a reliable, axially rotatable bearing with fastening compensation for different door thicknesses. An important aim of the invention is to create a simplified door handle connection with a two-part square pin, which can be manufactured inexpensively and can be easily installed in an enlarged door thickness range. In addition, reusability should be guaranteed after repeated disassembly.

Ausgestaltungen sind Gegenstand der Unteransprüche 2 bis 11.The characterizing part of claim 1 sets out main features of the invention. Refinements are the subject of dependent claims 2 to 11.

The fixing of the two-part square pin is carried out according to the invention with the specially designed threaded pin, which engages the outer collar edges above the longitudinal grooves of the square halves and is pressed in between when screwing in, so that the square halves spread and wedge in the blind hole of each handle neck and in the lock nut. The tip of the grub screw penetrates into the V-shaped cavity, which the opposing longitudinal grooves form on the inside and which also absorbs the displaced material of the collar edges, which at the same time supports the pressed-in part of the grub screw.

Advantageous shapes are given in claims 2 and 3. The rail head-like design according to claim 4 not only leads to symmetry and material savings even further, but also enables the side exchange of the square halves, so that unused collar edge parts are always available even after frequent assembly and disassembly.

The type and amount of material displacement when spreading the square halves depends on the design of the grub screw, which can be further developed constructively according to claims 5 to 8 and according to claim 9 consists of harder material than the collar edges. Optionally, deposits according to claims 10 and 11 can still support the releasable anchoring of the press-in threaded part.

The door handle connection illustrated by way of example in FIG. 1 consists of two door handles 10, 10 'which are connected at their handle necks 12 and 12' by means of a connecting pin 14. This can, as shown schematically on the (lower) door handle 10 ', by a pin 16 or in some other way, e.g. cohesive, be anchored in the handle neck 12 'to form the so-called pin part of the handle set. Instead of this, and in any case for the other handle 10, the so-called hole part, a releasable anchoring is possible with the aid of a threaded pin 20 which sits in a radial threaded hole 18 of the handle neck 12 and has a front part 22 which can be pressed into a spreading projection 30 is.

This arrangement is clearer from the enlarged representations of FIGS. 2 and 3. It can be seen that the connecting pin 14 consists of square halves 14a, 14b, which in the example shown have a square cross section, that is to say they themselves have a rectangular basic shape. Each of the square halves 14a, 14b has a collar edge 32a or 32b and below it a longitudinal groove 34a or 34b. The latter merges with a chamfer or curvature 36 into an outer surface 38 with which the two square halves 14a, 14b abut one another. The anchoring in the handle neck 12 takes place by means of the grub screw 20 in such a way that its press-in part 22 is pressed into the expansion projection 30, penetrates it and so the square halves 14a, 14b are wedged in the blind hole of the handle neck 12 - and in the lock nut (not shown) . For this purpose, the press-in part 22 of the threaded pin 20 has a thickening 24, which can be designed as a rotationally symmetrical bead and continues with a conical tip 26. The transition from the press-in part 22 to the screw shaft of the setscrew 20 can be designed as a flat collar 28 which, when the setscrew 20 is fully screwed in, comes to rest on the outside of the cover surface of the connecting pin 14, that is to say on the expansion lug 30.

It can be seen that the collar edges 32a, 32b, which are initially flat on the outside, are pressed in by the press-in part 22 of the threaded pin 20. The material that is displaced in this case finds place in the longitudinal grooves 34a, 34b and forms a type of collar, behind which the thickening 24 is held in a form-fitting manner. This fills in particular the entire depth t (see FIG. 7) of the cavity formed by the longitudinal grooves 34a, 34b. However, space can still be available in the screwing direction of the threaded pin 20. Preferably, the opening angle of the cone tip 26 is at least as large as the angle enclosed by the chamfers or bulges 36 of the square halves 14a, 14b, so that when the part 22 which can be pressed in is penetrated, these square halves are pressed apart like a wedge.

As can be seen from FIGS. 4a and 4b, the threaded pin 20 is preferably provided with a hexagon socket 50, so that it can be reliably screwed in by attaching a hexagon key with a larger lever arm. A certain amount of resistance initially arises while the cone tip 26 penetrates into the expansion projection 30 and the collar edges 32a, 32b are cold-deformed. However, if the pour point of the material at the collar edges 32a, 32b has been reached, the thickening 24 presses into the cavity of the longitudinal grooves 34a, 34b relatively easily. The cone tip 26 then finds increased resistance between the chamfers or bulges 36 and their transition to the outer surfaces 38, since material displacement is less easily possible there. As a result, when screwing in, you can easily feel when the desired fastening is reliably achieved.

Die Vierkanthälften 40 sind noch etwas leichter, durchaus stabil und durch die Vergrößerung der nutzbaren Kragenkantenlängen besonders vorteilhaft verwendbar.FIG. 5 again illustrates a cross section through an unused part of the connecting pin 14 in the embodiment according to FIGS. 1 to 3. However, modifications also fall within the scope of the invention. 6 shows a cross section through a connecting pin 14, the square halves 40 of which are completely symmetrical and identical. As can also be seen from FIG. 7, such a square half 40 is provided on both sides with similar collar edges 42, longitudinal grooves 44, arches or chamfers 46 and outer surfaces 48. The latter are aligned with the collar edges 42. The square halves 40 are still somewhat lighter, quite stable and can be used particularly advantageously by increasing the usable collar edge lengths.

In cases where the connecting pin 14 is used in a corner, ie rotated by 45 ° about its axis, designs according to FIGS. 8 and 9 can be considered. Here, the square halves 14a, 14b have their collar edges 32a, 32b in a diagonal plane in which the outer surfaces 38 lie against one another. The longitudinal grooves 34a, 34b and the subsequent chamfers or bulges 36 can also be easily incorporated into the square halves 14a, 14b. While FIG. 8 shows a heavier version, in which the lower half of the connecting pin 14 in the picture is solid, in the modified example of FIG. 9 the lower half can also be provided with an expansion extension 30 'which is symmetrical with the upper expansion extension 30 and has similar collar edges and longitudinal grooves and chamfers or bulges.

The cavity design can deviate from the drawn contours and can be adapted to the shape of the press-in part 22 of the threaded pin 20. In particular, the thickening 24 can also have a shape other than that shown, for example with we at least an undercut. It is also possible and provided according to the invention to provide staggered longitudinal grooves one above the other in the square halves 14a, 14b, 40, the associated collar edges being able to protrude to different extents. The lower collar edges in particular do not have to reach the plane of the outer surfaces 38 or 48.
