Definitions

  • the invention relates to a child-resistant closure of a handle to be tensioned over the lid of a carrying package serving as a large household pack, which is to be fastened at one longitudinal end with a rivet to the pack wall and in the region of the longitudinal end a slot for receiving the neck of the rivet for moving the handle band for lifting or tightening over the surface of the lid.
  • carrier pack includes large packs for household needs, such as carry packs, round, rectangular and square drums. Understand buckets or similar containers. Such containers are equipped with a plastic grip tape as a carrying element.
  • the grip tape also known as a handle, is said to have certain design features which, in combination with additional securing elements, enable child safety. Areas of application for such packs are acidic or alkaline products, e.g. Dishwasher cleaner.
  • Child safety devices for small containers for example for containers of pharmaceuticals or household chemicals, which have a relatively small removal opening to be secured, are known. These containers are in the closure area because of the use of mechanically stable material and / or because of the relatively small opening cross section dimensionally stable.
  • DE-OS 32 32 535 and 32 06 531 For child safety of the closure of large containers, it is known from DE-OS 32 32 535 and 32 06 531 to create a child safety device by one-sided tensioning of the grip tape over the lid of the container, by pressurizing the tensioned tape on opposite narrow strips of the Container circumference of the container lid is pressed against the upper edge of the container.
  • the known constructions are complex, the carrying strap consists of two parts to be held together by the respective securing element.
  • the invention has for its object to provide a child safety device for a one-piece handle of a large household container with a large, i.e. to create essentially the entire cover cross-section cover that is easy to assemble, lock and open again by the user and add to the sales package as an addition.
  • the solution according to the invention is characterized in the case of the child restraint mentioned at the outset by an intersecting line in the grip tape starting from the elongated hole end facing away from the longitudinal band end and ending in a locking hole having a radius corresponding to the rivet neck cross-section, and by a locking buckle with a slit-shaped inner profile with the cross-section of which is to be pushed over the grip band Grip tape of exactly the same cross-section; with a pocket integrally formed on the front facing away from the adjacent packing wall, open inwards and towards the center of the band, but interrupted there by a snap bead with an internal dimension corresponding to the head of the rivet in terms of height, width and depth; furthermore with recess provided in the inside of the buckle adjoining the packing wall, in the core of a semicircular recess which widens conically in the direction of the band center, in order to accommodate the rivet neck; and with holding cams provided on the end of the buckle facing the longitudinal end of the band and engaging in the slot-shaped inner profile
  • the cutting line leading from the elongated hole to the locking hole can be produced by cutting, punching or the like.
  • the material of the grip tape should be so elastic that the rivet neck can be forced through the cutting line from the elongated hole to the locking hole and vice versa. Extruded grip tapes are particularly suitable.
  • the locking buckle itself should consist of an elastic plastic housing that is mechanically so stiff on the one hand that the locked buckle cannot easily slide off the rivet head snapped into the pocket, but on the other hand is so flexible that it can be compressed in the transverse direction of the slot by compressing the buckle (across the width of the grip tape) and by lifting the bag it can be released from the lock.
  • the invention is a positive on all sides Locking of buckle and grip tape, rivet and carrying package and thus a reliable child lock created using the smallest means.
  • Handling in particular releasing the locking buckle from the locking with the rivet head, is facilitated if the front of the pocket of the buckle protrudes towards the center of the band in the form of a trapezoidal securing plate over the adjacent end of the locking buckle and if the snap bead on the back of the securing plate is formed with a slight undercut that extends inwards.
  • mechanically stable and elastic locking plate makes it possible to lock sufficiently firmly after snapping in the rivet head and to release the buckle by lifting up the plate from the locking means.
  • the smallest radius of the recess on the inside of the buckle should correspond exactly to the radius of the rivet neck. When the rivet neck reaches this end position of the recess, the rivet head should be able to be gripped by the pocket.
  • the locking by the buckle according to the invention is particularly stable if the edges of the recess of the buckle are formed with sharp edges and have a thickness that corresponds to the length of the rivet neck.
  • the holding cams provided on the end of the buckle facing the end of the grip band serve to align the buckle on the grip band and to slide off to be excluded from the grip tape in the unlocked state. If the retaining cam protrudes into the inner profile of the buckle up to about half the slot depth and the length of the buckle is selected such that the retaining cam lies in the elongated hole in every position of the buckle, a locking buckle once placed on the grip tape can no longer be accidentally removed from the belt fall off.
  • the length of the elongated hole is predetermined, inter alia, by the fact that the grip tape for carrying the pack must be so far away from the lid surface that one can comfortably reach through between the loosened grip tape and the lid surface by hand.
  • the grip tape is stretched tightly over the lid - that is to say in the closed position - the locking hole of the grip tape just comes to coincide with the associated rivet in such a way that it is no longer possible to touch or laterally move the grip tape in the position to be locked.
  • the drawing refers to a baby carrier as an example of a baby carrier.
  • the carrying package designated overall by 1 in FIG. 1, has a three-sided, partially torn tear-open tab 2 and an inner frame 3 with overlapping cover 4, which is hinged on the rear longitudinal side at the upper end of the elongated hole 6 - a punched-out cutting line 7, which ends in a locking hole 8 which is also punched.
  • the illustrated carrying package 1 of FIG. 1 is in the carrying position, the handle strap 5 designed as a carrying handle is loose and movable at a distance above the top of the lid 4.
  • the child safety device not yet provided in FIG. 1 is explained with reference to FIGS. 2 to 5.
  • the securing element shown in the form of a locking buckle 9 with an essentially slit-shaped inner profile 10 corresponds almost exactly to the thickness and width of the grip tape 5.
  • a pocket 12 which is open on the inside and on the top is formed on one side, the internal dimensions of the height, width and depth of which correspond relatively exactly to those of the rivet 13 shown in FIG.
  • the pocket wall 14 can be extended beyond the upper edge 15 of the buckle 9 as a trapezoidal securing plate 16. It is favorable here to form a radially arranged snap bead 17 with a slight undercut that overlaps on the inside of the securing plate 16.
  • a recess 19 is provided which is semicircular in the origin or core and widens conically upwards or outwards, the smallest radius of which should correspond relatively exactly to the radius of the neck of the rivet 13.
  • the edges 20 of the recess 19 are advantageously tapered inwards with sharp edges.
  • a holding cam 22 is integrally formed on the lower edge 21 of the buckle 9, the width of which should be slightly smaller than the width of the elongated hole 6 on the grip tape 5.
  • the holding cam 22 should protrude to about half the depth into the slot-shaped inner profile 10 of the buckle 9.
  • the narrow sides 23 of the locking buckle 9 are equipped with horizontally extending gripping ribs 24.
  • Fig. 6 a reclosed and child-resistant with the help of the locking buckle 9 carrying package 1 is shown in perspective.
  • the locking buckle 9 should be provided with the inscriptions "OPEN” and “CLOSE” and corresponding arrows to simplify operation.
  • This child lock can be activated in the following ways: After removing the pull tab 2 and opening the lid 4, the consumer removes the attached locking buckle 9.
  • the cover 4 is closed again over the projecting upper edge of the inner frame. Then the handle is pulled by one-sided pulling on the longitudinal end of the grip tape 5, which contains the cutting line 7, over the lid 4 - pressing it.
  • Unlocking the child lock is carried out in the following, astonishingly simple way, which, however, cannot be understood by children of the vulnerable age:
  • the operator grasps the buckle 9 laterally, ie on the narrow sides 23, in the area of the gripping ribs 24 and pulls the buckle 9 downwards, while at the same time with the other hand, for example with the thumbnail or other means, the locking plate 16 is raised slightly.
