Definitions

  • the present invention relates to a device making it possible to drain the soil at depth, by siphoning off the water captured by one or more drains placed in the ground.
  • the drainage is carried out, either by pumping by filtering points connected to a vacuum pump or by wells equipped with pumps, or by gravity evacuation when it is possible by subhorizontal drains, trenches, walls or draining spurs, the waters possibly being able to be pumped in the case of trenches or walls if gravity evacuation is not possible.
  • Draining trenches are only possible for a maximum depth of four meters.
  • the draining walls, variants of the trenches, require an implementation technique equivalent to that of the molded walls and are therefore very expensive and the draining spurs have a very limited effectiveness.
  • the present invention aims to overcome the drawbacks of the state of the art which has just been commented on by proposing a drainage device by siphoning, capable of operating permanently and autonomously without risk of defusing, and therefore not requiring d '' repeated interventions or systematic monitoring.
  • the drain of Figure 1 is vertical, but any inclination of the vertical to the horizontal is possible without the principle operation being changed.
  • the drain is either placed in a preliminary drilling, or beaten, vibrated or launched according to known techniques.
  • It is essentially constituted by a tube, for example made of plastic material suitable for this use.
  • This tube comprises over the greater part of its length a part 1 provided with perforations and forming a strainer and representing by its function the drain proper. At its lower end, it is closed and its walls are full to form a bowl or tank 2.
  • It is further surmounted by a tubular part with solid walls 4 open upwards.
  • This upper part 4 further comprises at least one lateral duct 5 and opens out at the top in a manhole.
  • a siphoning pipe 6 plunges permanently by its lower end 3 into the bowl 2, rises inside the drain to exit therefrom through the lateral duct 5 and, after a possible intermediate section 11 which may be close to the horizontal, for the road crossing, descend to an outlet at its end 8 located in altitude at the upper edge of the bowl 2 so that the siphon effect can play without this bowl 2 can be emptied by the siphon effect.
  • this end 8 always placed at a site where the topography ensures the required height difference, as mentioned above, may be placed in a well of the type known as an overflow well or in a sump whose level can optionally be maintained by conventional pumping.
  • the siphon may be doubled or tripled by tubes mounted in parallel side by side but of different diameters, one replacing the other according to local and / or momentary circumstances.
  • the siphon tube or tubes from their exit from the drain by the lateral conduit 5, that is to say in the intermediate part 11 and the downward part 12, will be housed in a protective sheath itself protected in the trench by conventional sanding.
  • the drain is filled by adding water to a level higher than the highest point of the siphon tube 6, or else a suction is carried out by the outlet 8 of the siphon, or , preferably, water is injected from outlet 8, which has the advantage of expelling all the air present in the siphon.
  • siphon drains according to the invention When the siphon drains according to the invention are placed in the ground in the dry period, they can be primed immediately by filling, as already said, and they will be ready to flow without further intervention, as soon as, in the wet period, the level of the sheet will be raised above that of the upper edge of the bowls 2, which has a considerable advantage over the conventional siphoning technique.
