Definitions
- the invention relates to a housing according to the preamble of claim 1.
- Luminaire housings for linear fluorescent lamps generally consist of a lower housing part, which is made of high-strength material, and a housing upper part or a housing cover, which is made of transparent material, and both housing parts are generally connected to one another so that the cover for exchanging the Fluorescent lamps can be removed.
- the cover of the known luminaire housing is therefore subjected to mechanical tension, being at certain points, in particular at the actual fastening and there are voltage peaks at the locking points.
- the lamp cover is made of thermoplastic, stress cracks are likely to occur, e.g. when the luminaire housing is wetted by aggressive chemicals etc.
- Such cleaning agents are generally aggressive for thermoplastics and glass and can lead to stress corrosion cracking, especially if these parts are under mechanical stress.
- the object of the invention is therefore to provide a housing of the type mentioned in the introduction in which the risk of stress cracks is avoided or at least greatly reduced.
- the edge of the housing cover is provided with the frame and that the individual connecting means, such as the screws, hinges and the like, are molded onto the frame, it is possible to fasten the housing cover to the lower part of the housing practically without tension.
- the housing cover can be made very simple because the individual means which are to be provided for connection to the lower housing part no longer have to be molded onto the cover. In addition to a significant reduction in tool costs, this also means an improvement in the external shape and a simplification in the number of covers required for a series of luminaires.
- the luminaire cover can only be selected according to criteria relating to the luminaire output; other criteria are of little importance.
- an antistatic housing cover because of the simple geometry of the cover and the material of the pressure frame.
- the lower housing part, the seal, the frame and the potting compound or cavity seal, with which the frame and the housing cover are connected to one another or sealed against one another, can be adjusted antistatically with simple measures, ie a surface resistance of 109 ohms can be obtained.
- a suitable film of charge-dissipating material in the form of a grid can also be applied to the outer surface of the housing cover because of the missing edges and due to the lack of additional formations for hinges and the like, so that the areas within the individual grid meshes that can charge up are small according to regulations are.
- a sieve screen is also through Paint application or a two-component spray process possible without further ado. This is only due to the simple outer shape.
- the cover can consist of any transparent materials. provided that the shrinkage of these materials is observed.
- the luminaire or luminaire housing according to FIG. 1 consists of an elongated, rectangular, pot-like lower housing part 10, the free edge of which has an L-shaped outward extension 1 1 running around the edge.
- the extension 11 On the right-hand side, the extension 11 has two brackets 12, into which axes or pins 13 formed on a frame 14 are suspended (see FIGS. 2 and 4 below).
- a holding means in the form of a locking element 15 is fastened on the inside of the lower housing part 10, which can be inserted with locking pins 16 into recesses in the frame 14, not shown, for the purpose of closing.
- the frame which forms a circumferential ring which is adapted to the edge contour of the lower housing part 10, has on one ring surface a U-shaped strip arrangement 17 into which a circumferential seal 18 is inserted.
- a recess 19 is provided on the overlying surface of the frame 14, into which the free edge of a housing cover, here a cover trough 20, is inserted.
- the depression or the circumferential groove 19 has lugs 22 on its outer inner surface, behind which a flange rim 23 which is formed on the cover trough 20 and extends radially outwards can be snapped.
- the groove 19 is then poured out with casting resin 24 or a similar sealant.
- fluorescent lamps 25 and 26 which are fastened there in a manner known per se.
- FIG. 2 A schematic representation of the frame 14 can be seen there, in the viewing direction B.
- the double egg is not shown most arrangement 17 and accordingly the seal is designed differently.
- the seal 18 is embedded in a groove 27 in the extension 11.
- the cover trough 20 has at its free end a latching lug 28 with which it engages behind a projection 29 which corresponds to the lug 22.
- a projection 29 which corresponds to the lug 22.
- the cover trough 20 has an area 30 with reduced wall thickness on its inner surface; As a result, the cover trough 20 is more easily elastically deformable in the region of the locking lugs 28. The sealant 24 let into the recess 19 can also be seen.
- FIG. 5 shows other embodiments of the fixing of the cover 20 on a frame.
- the frame 50 according to FIG. 5 has a circumferential depression 51, which corresponds to the depression 19.
- Several bores 52 are made in the frame 50, through which plugs 53 and bolts 53 are inserted; after inserting the edge of the tub 20 into the depression 51 and inserting the plug 53 into the region of the flange-like collar 54, the depression is poured out with casting resin or similar sealing material 55 and the covering tub is fixed to the frame.
- a fixing strip 56 is placed behind the projection 57, which corresponds to the projection 29 in FIG. 3 corresponds, inserted and then again poured the recess with casting resin 58 or a similar material.
- the cover pan 20 is properly and properly fixed to the frame 50.
- the frame 70 which is approximately the same as the frame 14, has a groove 71 which has a nose 72 which is similar to the nose 19.
- the free edge of the lamp housing (cover trough) 20 is rounded.
- a circumferential seal 73 is inserted into the groove 71, snapping behind the nose 72, which comprises a cavity 74 and is thus elastically deformable.
- the lug-shaped housing edge 28 is thus pressed against the nose 72 by the cavity seal 73/74 and is thus held on the frame without tension. Falling out of the cover trough is achieved by means of holders, not shown in detail, which act on the cover trough without tension.
- FIG. 8 shows a frame 80 with a groove 81 without a nose corresponding to the nose 72.
- a seal 82 is poured in the form of casting resin, in which the edge of the cover trough is poured.
- This "pouring part" can of course also be a preformed sealing part which is held in the groove in a partially integral manner.
- Figure 9 shows an embodiment similar to Figure 7.
- the frame 90 has a groove 91 similar to the groove 71 with a nose 92 protruding inward into the groove at its outer upper end.
- a seal 93 with a cavity 94 and an L-shaped lip 95 is inserted into the groove behind the lugs 92, the lip 95 being the Reaches over the edge of the cover trough and holds the cover trough.
- the cover trough 20 is used in the recess 19, 51, 71, 81, 91 practically completely free of tension and is also held in it free of tension. So that the tub no longer has to be used for sealing purposes; rather, the frame 14, 50, 70, 80, 90 is provided for this purpose, which can be made of a suitable material and must accordingly have sufficient strength.
- the individual closure elements such as hinge and possibly screw elements are molded onto this frame, which considerably simplifies the manufacture of the tub.
Abstract
Description
The invention relates to a housing according to the preamble of
Luminaire housings for linear fluorescent lamps generally consist of a lower housing part, which is made of high-strength material, and a housing upper part or a housing cover, which is made of transparent material, and both housing parts are generally connected to one another so that the cover for exchanging the Fluorescent lamps can be removed. This means that hinges, screws and the like must be provided on the housing cover, also called luminaire trough, so that a certain tightness of the luminaire housing is achieved, in particular in the case of explosion-protected luminaires. The cover of the known luminaire housing is therefore subjected to mechanical tension, being at certain points, in particular at the actual fastening and there are voltage peaks at the locking points.
If the lamp cover is made of thermoplastic, stress cracks are likely to occur, e.g. when the luminaire housing is wetted by aggressive chemicals etc. Such cleaning agents are generally aggressive for thermoplastics and glass and can lead to stress corrosion cracking, especially if these parts are under mechanical stress.
Such stress cracks must be avoided so that the ambient atmosphere cannot penetrate into the interior of the luminaire housing.
Similar problems exist not only with luminaire housings, but also with all those housings in which a cover has to be attached to a lower housing part, in which a certain tightness, e.g. a vapor tightness must be achieved.
The object of the invention is therefore to provide a housing of the type mentioned in the introduction in which the risk of stress cracks is avoided or at least greatly reduced.
This object is achieved according to the invention by the characterizing features of
Further advantageous embodiments of the invention can be found in the subclaims.
Characterized in that the edge of the housing cover is provided with the frame and that the individual connecting means, such as the screws, hinges and the like, are molded onto the frame, it is possible to fasten the housing cover to the lower part of the housing practically without tension. In addition to a significant reduction in tool costs, this also means an improvement in the external shape and a simplification in the number of covers required for a series of luminaires. The luminaire or luminaire housing according to FIG. 1 consists of an elongated, rectangular, pot-like
In the interior of the lamp housing there are
Reference is now made to FIG. 2. A schematic representation of the
It can be seen from the embodiment according to FIG. 3 that the
Figures 5 and 6 show other embodiments of the fixing of the
In the embodiment according to FIG. 7, the
Dieses "Eingießteil" kann natürlich auch ein vorgeformtes Dichtungsteil sein, das teilschlüssig in der Nut festgehalten ist.FIG. 8 shows a frame 80 with a groove 81 without a nose corresponding to the
Figure 9 shows an embodiment similar to Figure 7. The frame 90 has a groove 91 similar to the
The advantages achieved by the invention are, in particular, that the
