Die bekannten Ausführungen der freitragenden Seitenschiebetore erfordern an einer Seite der Toröffnung einen entsprechend großen Freiraum für die Unterbringung des Torblattes in der geöffneten Stellung, da dieses in seiner ganzen Länge einschl. seines in der Schließstellung über den Pfosten herausra­genden Überstandes seitlich neben dem Pfosten unterge­bracht werden muß. Bei dem Einbau dieser Tore in grö­ßere Einfriedungsbegrenzungen bereitet die Unterbrin­gung des Torblattes keine Probleme. In vielen Fällen wird jedoch eine im Verhältnis zur Breite des eingefrie­deten Grundstückes große Toröffnungsbreite benötigt, ohne daß der für die Unterbringung des Torblattes in der Offenstellung erforderliche Raum zur Verfügung steht.
