Hierzu ist es erforderlich, die betreffenden Maschinen zum Ein- und Auspacken der Flaschen auf das jeweilige andere Format und auf die dazu speziell eingesetzten Kästen umzurüsten. Eine derartige Umrüstung ist vielfach zeitraubend und aufgrund der stellenweise sehr gewichtigen Greiferköpfe insbesondere bei Hochleistungsmaschinen mit mehreren Einzelköpfen schwierig. Andererseits stellen die entsprechend ausgebildeten kompletten Greiferköpfe mit den zugehörige Flaschenführungsrahmen und entsprechend ausgebildeten Flaschenleitflächen erhebliche Materialmassen dar, die in dem Bereich einer solchen Ein- oder Auspackmaschine zur Verfügung stehen und bevorratet werden müssen. Sobald diese mit der Greifereinheit 11 verbunden ist, kann diese in entgegengesetzter Richtung angehoben werden, wobei automatisch auch der Flaschenführungsrost 6 und anschließend der Greiferkopf 5 in stapelnder Weise übernommen wird und so eine komplette Greiferkopfeinheit 9 als Schnellwechselsatz gebildet wird. Diese Greiferkopfeinheit 13, 9 wird dann in horizontaler Ebene über die betreffenden Leerstapelplätze 10, 10' verfahren und abgesetzt. Unmittelbar darauf wird der bereits für die nächste Flaschensorte zur Verfügung stehende Schnellwechselsatz 14 ergriffen und der zu dessen Aufnahme bereitstehenden Greifertraverse 3 zugeführt. Darauf lösen sich die Greifereinheiten 11 der Formatwechseleinrichtung 8 von den Mitnahmeelementen 12 dieses zweiten Schnellwechselsatzes 14, worauf die Formatwechseleinrichtung 8 wieder in ihre Ruheposition verfährt und gegebenenfalls eine weitere Greiferkopfeinheit in Bereitschaftsposition verbringen kann.As soon as a complete gripper head unit is to be replaced, the gripper unit 11 of the format changing device 8 moves in the vertical direction against the feed table 1 in order to take up the complete gripper head unit already located there. Bei einer Flascheneinpackmaschine wird nun der Greiferkopf mit der Greifertraverse 3 und dem daran hängenden Flaschenführungsrost 6 in die Position oberhalb des Kastentransporteurs 2 bewegt, worauf der Flaschenführungsrost 6 durch die Greifertraverse selbst abgesetzt und manuell arretiert wird. Eine entsprechende Arretierung des Greiferkopfes selbst ist ebenfalls vorgesehen, ebenso die Verbindung der erforderlichen Versorgungsleitungen für den Greiferkopf, insbesondere eine nicht weiter dargestellte Druckluftzuführung zum Aufblasen der in den Greiferköpfen befindlichen Greifermanschetten. Entgegen der vorbeschriebenen Stapelung der einzelnen Einheiten in Richtung ihrer Entnahme ist es auch denkbar, bei Anordnung entsprechender Arretierungselemente an den einzelnen Einheiten diese in umgekehrter Weise ineinanderzusetzen, um sie dann ebenfalls gemeinsam durch die Formatwechseleinrichtung 8 bzw. deren Greifereinheit 11 zu erfassen und umzusetzen. Die erstgenannte Stapeleinrichtung hat aber den Vorteil, daß bei dieser Ausbildung die Flaschenleitbleche 7 lediglich durch Schwerkraft auf dem Zu- und/oder Abtauftisch 1 als Einzeleinheit ruhen und somit entgegen der Entnahmerichtung die untere Einheit der Greiferkopfeinheit 13,14 bildet. Die einzelnen Greiferkopfeinheiten sind so ausgebildet, daß sie auch untereinander nochmals stapelbar sind und auf diese Weise eine erhebliche Platzeinsparung erzielt wird. Zweckmäßig befindet sich dieser Stapelsatz oberhalb der eigentlichen Flaschenzu-und -ablaufebene, wo auch die einzelnen Greiferkopfeinheiten separat oder mittels der Formatwechseleinrichtung 8 unabhängig vom Betrieb der Ein- und Auspackmaschine selbständig in in Bereitschaftsposition gefahren werden können. Als weitere Stapelplätze bieten sich insbesondere bei einer größeren Mehrgebindeanlage auch Stapelplätze unmittelbar hinter der Maschine sowie möglicherweise auch vor der Maschine, gesehen in Richtung der Maschinenlängsachse, an.In the case of a bottle packing machine, the gripper head with the gripper cross member 3 and the bottle guide grate 6 hanging thereon is moved into the position above the box conveyor 2, whereupon the bottle guide grate 6 is set down and manually locked by the gripper cross member itself. Claims (10)

1. Format changing arrangement (8) for a gripper head unit (9) on a machine for packing and unpacking bottles, multi-item packagings in or out of boxes and the like, comprising a feeding or discharging table (1) for the bottles to be transposed, a conveyor means (2) disposed in front of this table for conveying the boxes, and a gripper arm (3) which is displaceable over both stations and in which the gripper bead (5), which engages with the bottles or the like to be transposed, is kept interchangeable, characterised in that the format changing arrangement (8) is disposed above the gripper arm (3), wherein the latter accommodates the entire gripper head unit (9), including the bottle guiding members (6, 7), and wherein the existing gripper head unit (13,14) is fully removable by means of the format changing arrangement (8) and is transportable to the stacking location (10, 10'), and the gripper head unit (14) to be changed is again insertable into the gripper head arm (3).

Gripper head unit on a format changing arrangement according to claim 1, comprising the actual gripper head (5), a bottle guiding frame and bottle deflector plates, characterised in that the gripper head (5), the bottle guiding frame (6) and the bottle deflector plates (7) are adapted to be stackable one inside the other as the gripper head unit (13,14) and form a complete gripper head unit which is ready to be exchanged, wherein the actual bottom component (7) of the gripper head unit is provided with locking means (8).

Gripper head unit according to claim 2, characterised in that each component (5, 6, 7) of the gripper head unit can be brought into connection with engagement means (11) of the format changing arrangement (8) individually, in succession and/or jointly independently of the additional component associated therewith and can be individually deposited and inserted according to its position in the packing machine and its deposit location (10, 10').
4. Gripper head unit according to claim 2, characterised in that the gripper head unit (13, 14) is adapted to be stackable one inside the other by means of the format changing arrangement (8) in accordance with its direction of removal.
5. Gripper head unit according to claim 2, characterised in that the gripper head unit (13, 14) is adapted to be initially stackable one inside the other in opposition to its direction of removal and then fully removable.
6. Gripper head unit according to claim 5, characterised in that the bottle deflector plates (7) only rest on the feeding and/or discharging table (1) as a single unit by means of gravity and form the bottom unit of the gripper head unit (13, 14) when viewed in the direction of removal.
7. Gripper head unit according to claim 2, characterised in that the individual, entire gripper head units (13,14) are adapted to be interstackable one below the other and can be rearranged as desired.
8. Format changing arrangement according to claim 1, characterised in that stacking locations (10, 10') for the gripper head units (13, 14) are disposed above the bottle feeding and discharging plane table (1), and the gripper head units are independently displaceable independently of the actual operation of the machine.
9. Format changing arrangement according to claim 1, characterised in that the stacking locations (10, 10') are disposed in front of and/or behind the base of the machine.
10. Format changing arrangement according to claim 1, characterised in that the individual gripper head units (13, 14) are stackable into the desired changing sequence independently of the mode of operation of the machine.
