Claims (12)

1. Dispositif permettant de comprimer le pli de produits pliés (Z), d'imprimés notamment, transportés par un convoyeur (11), caractérisé en ce que le convoyeur (11) est muni de griffes (12), séparées par une certaine distance mutuelle, qui permettent de saisir le bord, opposé au pli, d'un produit (2), afin d'acheminer ce dernier en suspension, sur une trajectoire partielle au moins, et en ce qu'une paire de mâchoires de serrage (30, 31), qu'une commande permet d'approcher et d'écarter l'une de l'autre, est affectée à chacune de ces griffes (12) dans la zone de la trajectoire partielle, au-dessous du convoyeur (11) et à une certaine distance de ce dernier, ces mâchoires étant entraînées et guidées dans le même sens et à la même vitesse que les griffes (12).
2. Dispositif suivant la revendication 1, caractérisé en ce que les paires de mâchoires (30, 31) sont couplées à un organe de traction au moins (24, 25) sans fin, entraîné en rotation, dont un brin, parallèle au convoyeur (11), se situe dans la trajectoire partielle précitée.
3. Dispositif suivant la revendication 2, caractérisé par deux organes de traction (24, 25) sans fin, entraînés en rotation et parallèles entre eux, et en ce que les paires de mâchoires de serrage (30, 31) sont disposées en échelon entre les organes précités (24, 25).
4. Dispositif suivant l'une quelconque des revendications 1 à 3, caractérisé en ce que chaque paire de mâchoires se compose d'une mâchoire (30), immobile dans son mouvement, et d'une mâchoire (31), qui peut être avancée sur la mâchoire fixe (30).
5. Dispositif suivant la revendication 4, caractérisé en ce que la mâchoire mobile (31) peut être avancée sur la mâchoire fixe (30), contre l'effet d'un ressort (44, 45), par l'intermédiaire d'un mécanisme articulé (29) et d'un suiveur au moins (36, 37), concourant avec une coulisse stationnaire (38, 39).

Dispositif suivant la revendication 5, caractérisé en ce que le mécanisme articulé (29) présente quatre éléments, dont chacun s'articule par ses extrémités, au moyen d'un pivot (28, 33, 34, 35), sur l'extrémité de l'élément voisin, l'un des pivots (28) supportant la mâchoire fixe (30) de l'une des paires, et le pivot opposé (33) supportant la mâchoire mobile (31) de la paire adjacente, deux coulisses opposées (38, 39), qui concourent avec les suiveurs (36, 37) supportés par les deux autres pivots opposés (34, 35), étant par ailleurs disposées dans la trajectoire partielle précitée.
7. Dispositif suivant la revendication 6, caractérisé en ce que l'une au moins des coulisses (38, 39) est soumise à une tension initiale élastique, orientée sur l'autre coulisse (39. 38).
8. Dispositif suivant la revendication 6, caractérisé en ce que le mécanisme articulé à quatre éléments (29) est étiré en losange sous l'effet du ressort (44, 45).
9. Dispositif suivant l'une quelconque des revendications 1 à 8, caractérisé en ce que chaque mâchoire (30, 31) présente une surface de serrage essentiellement plane (30', 31'), ces surfaces étant tournées l'une vers l'autre.
10. Dispositif suivant la revendication 9, caractérisé en ce que les surfaces de serrage (30', 31') des mâchoires (30, 31) sont munies de bosses (46, 47), les bosses (46), disposées sur la surface (30') de l'une des mâchoires (30) d'une paire, étant décalées par rapport aux bosses (47), prévues sur la surface (31') de l'autre mâchoire (31) de la paire.
11. Dispositif suivant l'une quelconque des revendications 1 à 10, caractérisé en ce que des moyens (18') permettent d'ajuster et de fixer le guidage (19, 20) des paires de mâchoires, à leur distance du convoyeur (11).
12. Dispositif suivant l'une quelconque des revendications 2 à 12, caractérisé en ce que la mâchoire mobile (31) de chaque paire précède la mâchoire fixe (30) correspondante, vu dans le sens de rotation de l'organe de traction (24, 25).
