Description

The invention relates to a flush-mounted distributor or collector for distributing or collecting a flowable medium at a consumer point, the medium flowing through flexible lines laid in empty pipes and either fed to a further consumer point or to the first-mentioned consumer point via a fitting arranged within a connection box and having two pipe connections is flowed in and collected on two lines, and the junction box is provided with openings for the necessary lines and the consumer connection.

Another object of the present invention is a method for replacing a flexible line, which conducts a flowable medium and is arranged in an empty pipe, and which connects two connection points to one another, two lines being connected to a distribution or collecting piece at a consumer point via two clamp connectors.

The known flush-mounted distributors currently available on the market have the disadvantage that if the flexible lines routed in empty pipes under plaster are mechanically damaged from the outside, they cannot be replaced without the building being demolished. This disadvantage is all the more serious if the cables are under ceramic wall plates, which may be can no longer be procured in the same version.

Das Auswechseln von mechanisch beschädigten, unter Putz liegenden, flexiblen Leitungen ist jedoch auch bei dieser Konstruktion ohne Bauwerk-abbruch nicht möglich.EP-A-0085329 discloses a connection device for fittings, the connection piece of which has at least two pipe connections for the pipes connected to one another and to the fitting connection; according to one embodiment variant, the connection piece can be formed in two parts with a parting plane transverse to the axis of the valve connection. The device described in this patent application does allow the pipe connections to be accessible during the initial assembly without pulling out the pipes in the junction box. However, even with this construction, it is not possible to replace mechanically damaged, plastered, flexible lines without demolishing the structure.

The object of the present invention is to design a flush-mounted distributor / collector in such a way that the flexible lines connected to it and laid under plaster can be replaced if necessary without demolition of the structure.

According to the invention, this object is achieved by the characterizing features of patent claim 1. The subject of the invention is referred to as "distributor" when installed according to FIG. 1 and as "collector" when installed according to FIG. 2.

An exemplary embodiment of the flush-mounted distributor / collector according to the invention is described in more detail below with reference to the drawings, in which:
  • 1 schematically shows the application of the invention as a distributor,
  • 2 schematically shows the application of the invention as a collector,
  • 3 shows one half of the distributor / collector in section 11-11 of FIG. 4,
  • 4 shows the distributor / collector in section II of FIG. 3,

  • 6 the collector in section III-III of FIG. 3,
  • Fig. 7 the distributor / collector in section II of Fig. 3, the flexible line in the replacement position.

The two FIGS. 1 and 2 illustrate the different application of the inventive concept, FIG. 1 representing the distributor function and FIG. 2 the collector function of the fitting.

In the flush-mounted distribution system according to Figure 1, three consecutive consumers 1 and 2 and 2a are provided. The flexible water pipe 9 laid in a flexible empty pipe 11, starting from a shut-off valve 22, initially feeds the consumer 1, is distributed from there to the consumer 2 and ends at the consumer 2a. Both consumers 1 and 2 therefore require manifold fittings.

The system shown in FIG. 2, on the other hand, shows a single consumer 3, which, in contrast to consumers 1, 2 and 2a, requires a relatively large amount of water and therefore, starting from a shut-off valve 22 ', has to be fed into empty pipes 12 via two lines 10 . The fitting to be attached to the consumer 3 accordingly requires a collective connection in which the currents of the two lines 10 combine.

The distributor to be used according to FIG. 1 at the consumer points shown there with 1 and 2 differs from the collector to be used according to FIG. 2 at consumer point 3 not in principle in terms of construction, but only in the guidance of the medium. It is therefore sufficient to first describe the structure of the fitting on the basis of FIGS. 3 and 4, which apply to both applications.

Fig. 5) im Mauerwerk M festgehalten ist. Die entsprechenden Leerrohre 11,12 enden im Stutzen 13a.In the masonry M, a junction box 8 is installed under plaster, which is held in the masonry M by means of anchors (not shown) (see FIG. 5). The junction box 8 is provided with an upper opening for receiving a consumer connection 16 (FIGS. 4 and 5) or 17 (FIG. 6) with a rosette 23 and with a base 13, through the molded connection piece 13 a of which two flexible lines 9, 10 ins Inside of the junction box 8 are performed. The corresponding empty pipes 11, 12 end in the connection 13a.

In the upper part of the junction box 8 there is a fitting, designated in its entirety with A, which essentially comprises two separately removable angle clamp connectors 4 and 5 (see also FIGS. 5 and 6) which open into a common connecting piece 6 and 7, respectively. The two angle clamp connectors 4 and 5 are centered with protruding centering members 18 in corresponding recesses 18a of the junction box rear wall and by means of screws 19 on the Back wall attached. The flexible line 9 is fastened to the angle clamp connectors in the manner known to the person skilled in the art by means of union nuts 25, 26 and therefore need not be described in detail.

Bei der Anwendung nach Fig. 6 dient das konstruktiv identische, hier mit 7 bezeichnete Teil als Sammler und wird daher dort als Sammelstück bezeichnet.5, which relates to consumers 1 and 2 (FIG. 1), has a distributor function and is therefore referred to in this context as a distributor. In the application according to FIG. 6, the structurally identical part, here designated 7, serves as a collector and is therefore referred to there as a collector's item.

The distribution piece 6 according to FIG. 5, like the collecting piece 7 according to FIG. 6, is anchored in the rear wall of the connection box by means of socket head screws 21 (FIGS. 3 and 4) and both have two bores in relation to the consumer connections 16, 17, into which the angle clamp connectors 4 and 5 are inserted and sealed by means of O-rings 20. The fitting A is thus in three parts, with each angle clamp connector 4, 5 being centered separately and, after removing the connecting piece 6 or 7, can be removed separately from the junction box 8.

The flexible lines 9, 10 are laid in a known manner in also flexible empty pipes 11, 12. Both the flexible lines 9, 10 and the empty pipes 11, 12 are made of a wear-resistant plastic. Since the wall socket 8 is open on the foot side, the flexible lines 9, 10 with the mounted angle clamp connectors 4, 5 can be easily inserted and fastened into the wall socket 8 during the initial assembly, whereupon the socket foot 13 with the inserted empty tubes 11, 12 drip-proof is connected to the wall socket 8.

Die Figur 7 zeigt einen Unterputz-Verteiler/ Sammler gemäss Schnitt I-I der Figur 3, eingesetzt in einem Bauwerk, die flexiblen Leitungen 9, 10 in Auswechselstellung.FIG. 7 shows a flush-mounted distributor / collector according to section I-I of FIG. 3, used in a building, the flexible lines 9, 10 in the replacement position.

In the following, the replacement of a defective flexible line without demolition of the structure will now be described. It is assumed here that the line 9 connecting the two distributors (outlet fittings) 1 and 2 according to FIG. 1 is damaged and must therefore be replaced. In FIG. 7, the damaged line to be replaced is again designated 9, the line to be newly inserted is designated 9a. After the media supply at the shut-off valve 22 (FIG. 1) is stopped, the outlet fittings 16 (FIG. 5) are unscrewed with rosettes 23 at the two flush-mounted consumer points 1, 2 (FIG. 1). Then the socket head screws 21 (FIG. 4) and the distributor pieces 6 are removed and the associated screws 19 are loosened. Then, at the consumer point 2, the angled clamp connector 4 together with the damaged flexible line 9 is pulled out of the connection box 8 with a key 24 (FIG. 7) until the union nut 26 (FIG. 7) of the clamp connector 5 is in contact with the socket bottom 13 of the consumer point 1. After loosening the union nut 25 of the pulled-out clamp connector 4, the clamp connector 4 is pulled off the flexible line 9 and a sufficiently long piece of new flexible line 9a is coupled to the projecting line end 27 with a coupling 30. The parts 9a, 30.9 are pushed together into the wall socket 8 until the angle clamp 5 at the other end of the line 9, i.e. stands at the consumer point 1 in its centering position. The clamp connector 5 is now pulled out of the junction box 8 at the consumer point 1 with the key 24 and then the coupled parts 9, 30, 9a are retightened until the front line end 28 at the consumer point 1 by the dimension Z outside the front edge of the building 31 lies. Now the clutch 30 is removed. Then the angle clamp connector 5 is mounted on the line end 28 and then the flexible line 9a is pulled out of the junction box 8 of the consumer parts 2 until the union nut 26 abuts the socket base 13 of the consumer point 1 (dash-dotted outline in FIG. 7). The flexible line 9a is shortened to dimension Z at the line end 29 and the angle clamp connector 4 is mounted. With the key 24, the parts 4, 9a, 5 are pushed until the pins 18 of the angle clamp connectors 4, 5 center in the recesses 18a of the junction box 8. The angle clamp connectors 4, 5 are now fastened with the screw 19, the distributing pieces 6 inserted and fixed with the socket head screws 21. After the outlet fittings 16 have been installed at the consumer points 1, 2, the shut-off valve 22 can be opened, making the service water system ready for operation again.

According to FIG. 4, the fitting A is arranged in the upper part of the junction box 8 and a displacement path VW is left underneath the fitting. The flexible line can thus be pulled out at the other end until the fitting A has passed through the displacement path VW and is seated on the can base 13.

The design described with reference to FIGS. 3, 4 and 5 for the distributor function of the valve also applies in all constructive details to the collector shown in FIG. 6. The difference between the two types of application is given in FIGS. 5 and 6 by the flow profile shown with arrows: according to FIG. 5 (distributor function) the medium flows, e.g. Process water, from the clamp connector 4 through the distribution chamber 14 partly via the connection 16 to the consumer 1, partly via the adjacent clamp connector 5 to the next consumer. FIG. 6, on the other hand, shows how the currents of the two clamp connectors 4 and 5 combine in the collecting space 15 of the collecting piece 7 and then flow together to the consumer 3 via the connection 17.

Claims (5)

1. Rendering distributor or collector for the distribution or collection of a fluid medium at a consumer point, the medium flowing through flexible lines (9, 10) laid in conduits (11, 12) and either passed via a fitting (A), arranged inside a connection box (8) and having two pipe connections, to a further consumer point or fed to the first- mentioned consumer point by means of two lines and is collected at said point, and the connection box (8) being provided with openings for the necessary lines and the consumer connection, characterized in that the said fitting (A) is of substantially 3-part design and accordingly has two separately removable clamping connectors (4, 5), the flow bores of which are interconnected by a connecting piece (6, 7) engaging over both, which connecting piece either has a distributing or a collecting function such that the flexible lines (9, 10) can be exchanged without structural demolition.
2. Rendering distributor or collector according to Claim 1, characterized in that the fitting (A) is arranged in the upper section of the connection box (8) and, underneath the fitting, inside the connection box, a sliding zone (VW) is kept clear to allow the removal of the clamping connector (4 or 5) at the other end of the line.
3. Rendering distributor or collector according to one of Claims 1 or 2, characterized in that the connection box (8) is equipped on the conduit inlet side with a drip-proof removable box base (13), which allows the introduction of the clamping connectors (4, 5) attached to the flexible lines (9,10), into the connection box (8) during initial installation.
4. Rendering distributor or collector according to one of Claims 1 to 3, characterized in that each clamping connector (4, 5) is centred by a protruding centring member (18) in a corresponding recess (18a) of the connection box rear wall and is secured to the rear wall by releasable means (19).
5. Process for the exchange of a flexible line carrying a fluid medium, arranged in a conduit and interconnecting two connection points, two lines being connected at a consumer point by means of two clamping connectors to a connecting piece, which serves either as distributor or collector, characterized in that, after removal of the connecting pieces of the two connection points the fastening of the two clamping connectors of the line to be exchanged is released and one of the clamping connectors is withdrawn from the connection box, together with the attached line, until the other clamping connector is resting on the box base of its connection box, the withdrawn clamping connector then being disassembled and the line to be exchanged coupled by means of a coupling to a new line section, after which the other clamping connector is pushed up in its connection box by the line to be exchanged, is seized and with it the new line is drawn in.
