Description

  • La présent invention concerne un couteau dont le manche est revêtu d'un élastomère. Un tel couteau est connu notamment de FR-A-2 541 919, qui a servi pour l'élaboration du préambule de la revendication 1.
  • Ce couteau est en particulier destiné à des usages professionnels, notamment usages ayant un caractère de continuité ou de semi-continuité dans le temps.
  • L'invention concerne un couteau comme revendiqué dans la revendication 1. Compte tenu du genre d'activité que doit déployer une personne ayant l'intention de se servir du couteau selon l'invention, l'élastomère à utiliser pour revêtir le manche du couteau devra être d'un type qui est capable d'amortir convenablement les chocs auxquels le couteau peut être assujetti, qui oppose une bonne résistance au glissement même au contact de substances grasses, qui est inattaquable par les détergents usuels, et qui est susceptible de résister à des températures au moins de 120 degrés. Ainsi, à titre d'exemple, on pourra avantageusement utiliser comme élastomère un caoutchouc synthétique à base styrène-butadiène (Buna), ou à base ethylène-propylène, ou à base d'esters polyacryliques, ou même des élastomères thermoplastiques à base de polyesters-poly- éthers.
  • Les élastomères susmentionnés sont, entre autres, capables de se souder parfaitement à la matière plastique, de préférence d'un type amortissant les chocs (appartenant à la classe des polyamides, par exemple), dans laquelle la queue de la lame de couteau est noyée.
  • Le couteau à manche revêtu d'un élastomère qui fait l'objet de la présente invention est décrit plus en détail ci après en relation à l'un de ses modes d'exécution préféré pour la compréhension duquel on se référera au dessin dont:
    • - La figure 1 est une vue de côté du couteau selon l'invention;
    • - La figure 2 en est une vue en coupe suivant la ligne A-A de figure 1; et
    • - La figure 3 est une vue en coupe suivant la ligne B-B de figure 2.
  • Le couteau formant l'objet de la présente invention et qui est représenté selon le mode préféré d'éxecution sur les dessins annexés, comprend une lame tranchante 1 (en acier trempé ou en acier inoxydable, par exemple) et une queue 2, reliée à la dite lame, la quelle queue est noyée et supportée par un revêtement 3 en matière plastique artificielle qui, à son tour, est recouvert d'une couche d'élastomère 4.
  • Comme on le constate facilement de l'examen des figures du dessin, la dite couche d'élastomère est interrompue dans une région antérieure 5, et dans une région intermédiaire 6 du manche, ceci pour permettre au revêtement de matière plastique artificielle de s'insérer (en phase de production) dans les dites régions, jusqu'à gagner le niveau de la face extérieure de la couche d'élastomère.
  • Cette particularité constructive permet, entre autres choses, d'ancrer solidement la dite couche élastique au revêtement de matière plastique rigide qui sert de support à la queue 2 de la lame 1.
  • Il est évident que la forme et les dimensions de la lame tranchante et du manche précités sont des caractéristiques ne rentrant pas dans le domaine de l'invention.

Claims (1)

1. Couteau à usages professionnels comprenant une lame tranchante (1 ) et une queue (2) reliée à la dite lame, la dite queue étant nouée et supportée par un revêtement (3) en matière plastique artificielle qui, à son tour, est recouvert d'une couche d'élastomère (4); caractérisé en ce que cette dernière couche est interrompue, au moins, dans une région antérieure (5) et dans une région intermédiaire (6) du manche, pour permettre au revêtement de matière plastique artificielle de s'insérer (en phase de production) dans les dites régions, jusqu'à gagner le niveau de la face extérieure de la couche; cette réalisation permettant d'ancrer solidement la couche d'élastomère (4) au revêtement (3) de matière plastique qui sert de support à la queue (2) reliée à la lame tranchante (1 ).
