Mithin ist in den herkömmlichen Ausführungsformen stets ein mechanisch betätigter Schalter vorhanden, der über mindestens einen zusätzlichen elektromagnetischen Schalter, den Magnetschalter, meist aber zwei solche elektromagnetischen Schalter aufeinander folgend den Stromkreis des Anlassers schließt. Eine herkömmliche Anlage enthält also außer dem Anlasser mindestens zwei elektrische Schaltelemente und ist somit in der Herstellung, Wartung und Lagerhaltung aufwendig.
