Definitions

  • the invention relates to a sink for households or the like. With two sinks lying outside in the longitudinal direction of the sink or a sink and a drip part, between which a smaller work sink is arranged, the sink rim being formed by a circumferential, raised surge rim.
  • Such a sink is known from the applicant's "Compact and" Compact soft " models.
  • the work basin is arranged centrally and there is an elevated mixer console both in front of and behind the work basin.
  • the object of the present invention is to improve the known sink with the features mentioned at the outset such that it can be produced more cost-effectively while maintaining the clean separation of the individual work areas sink, sink and drip part.
  • the new sink should be characterized by the fulfillment of high hygienic requirements.
  • This object is achieved in that the working pool is surrounded by a raised edge compared to the upper sink or drip part edge, that this edge zone merges into the surge edge at the front, while it ends at the back with a space in front of the rear surge edge and that Sink surface in this space runs at most at the level of the upper edge of the sink or drip part and has an overflow opening.
  • the edge zone around the work bowl and the overflow opening arranged between the edge zone and the rear surge edge in the level sink area results in the decisive advantage that all three work areas of the sink, namely the drip part, work bowl and sink, can overflow into one and the same opening, without overflowing water from one working area being able to penetrate into one of the other two working areas. This saves a drain on the sink without reducing its useful properties.
  • the overflow opening is not arranged in a basin wall as usual and thus acts as a nucleus for the re-fusing of the rinsing water, but that it is arranged outside each work area. The hygiene of the sink is much better.
  • this bracket can continue to originate from the outer surge edge.
  • the raised edge zone In order to supply water overflowing from the work basin to the overflow in the fastest and most direct way, it is recommended that the raised edge zone has a depression at its rear end towards the overflow. Otherwise, the edge zone is largely flat, so that rescue boards u. Like. Can be turned off.
  • the overflow opening expediently extends in the transverse direction of the sink almost over the entire intermediate space, so that overflowing water surely flows past.
  • the overflow does not have to extend one hundred percent over the entire space, since there is a suction effect at the outlet, which is also communicated to the more distant sink areas.
  • a relatively narrow overflow can of course be used if the sink surface is not flat in the space mentioned, but is designed as a channel.
  • a single opening can be considered, but also a series of openings lying side by side.
  • the drip part with its own drain, as is shown, for example, in DE-PS-2 746 697. Due to the overflow positioned according to the invention, however, it is expedient to dispense with a separate drain and to provide the drip part with a slope that is inclined at an angle to the overflow opening. So that the usual profiling on the drip part does not inhibit the drainage of the water, a profiling directed towards the overflow opening is expediently used so that the draining water in the troughs reaches the overflow directly.
  • the sink surface below the surge edge can run horizontally. However, it can also have a slight slope towards the overflow opening. The same applies to the peripheral zone surrounding the working pool.
  • the embodiment relates to a sink with a sink and a drip part in the form of a drip plate.
  • a drip plate instead of the drip plate, a differently shaped drip part or a further sink can be provided.
  • the sink has a sink 1, a work bowl 2 and a drip part 3 lying side by side in the longitudinal direction. Seen from above, the sink and the drip part have the same contour, so that work attachments such as scaffolding boards or the like can optionally be placed on both work areas.
  • the work basin 2 located in between is elongated. In contrast to the previously known embodiments, it extends to close to the front edge of the sink. As a result, the work basin is not only suitable for the usual cleaning work for vegetables etc., but can also be used as a smaller sink next to basin 1.
  • the outer sink edge is formed in the usual way by a circumferential, raised surge edge 4.
  • the raised edge zone 5 is not pulled through to the rear surge edge, but leaves a space 7 a few centimeters wide there, which connects a connection between the flush surface of the sink on the right half of FIG. 1 and the drip part 3 Represents sink surface on the left part of FIG. 1.
  • the mentioned sink surfaces are inclined towards the intermediate space 7 with a slight slope.
  • Overflow openings 8 are arranged at the deepest and narrowest point of the intermediate space 7. They ensure that overflowing water, irrespective of whether it comes from the sink 1, the work basin 2 or the drip part 3, can flow off without being able to penetrate one of the other work areas. It is therefore only necessary to provide a drain opening 9 or 10 in the sink 1 and in the work basin 2.
  • the sink described is characterized by the omitted drain for the drip part in that, despite the relatively large basin, it can be installed in a base cabinet that is only 55 centimeters wide and, accordingly, more space remains for built-under electrical appliances, in particular dishwashers or refrigerators.
  • the raised edge zone 6 is drawn laterally around the opposite curve of the sink or drip part towards the front surge edge and for the same reason terraces 11 are arranged in the four sink corners whose level is below the surge edge, but above the sink surface starting from the top edge of the sink. At the same time, these terraces create a visually harmonious transition from the larger radii of the sink or drip part to the smaller radii at the corners of the sink.
