Description

The invention relates to a double wall plate element with edges edged with angularly abutting profiles.

In horticulture, highly transparent double-wall sheets made of plastic are increasingly being used for greenhouses and cold frames instead of the glass that was preferred in the past. In contrast to the relatively heavy and break-sensitive glass, which also has very poor thermal insulation values, the double-wall sheets are characterized by their extremely low weight, their absolute break resistance and extremely low thermal insulation values. The double web plate is made up of two cover plates which are spaced apart by longitudinal webs and thus form a multiplicity of air chambers.

Although these panels already have sufficient inherent rigidity due to their cellular structure with the smallest wall thicknesses, the cell walls are so flexible that large-scale constructions are only made possible by composite elements that are reinforced by edge profiles. The connection of the cell walls with the profiles required for this is extremely difficult due to the thin wall thicknesses required for economical production and the high elasticity of the plastic used for the plates, so that conventional connections such as screws or rivets are not applicable, the different thermal expansion between the Panels and the reinforcing profiles is still aggravating.

In particular, in the manufacture of large-area panel elements in any angular shape, such as are required for side walls or cover windows in greenhouses, these panel elements to be framed from all sides by supporting or final profiles, a secure connection is not yet known.

In the case of translucent double-wall sheets, it is known from DE-A-3 121 047 that the open end faces of the plate, at which the air or hollow chambers enclosed by the webs and the cover sheets of the double-wall sheet open to the outside, are closed with a U-shaped end strip provided, which is resiliently inserted into the interior of the respective open end face, and, if desired, to seal off the gaps left free on both sides of the end strip between it and the cover plate edges with a sealant. This end strip is designed as a spring and is inserted with the two legs in slots formed in the web ends, with the base section connecting the two legs being flush with the end face of the double web plate. To insert this end strip, which can be removed again at any time, it is pressed together resiliently on the legs, inserted with the legs into the slots in the web ends and then released, so that the legs are pressed resiliently against the respective outer slot boundaries and secure the end plate against falling out. This end guide is only used to largely close off the cabbage chambers of the double-wall sheet and is neither firmly connected to it nor can it be used on the longitudinal sides parallel to the web.

Another form of end strip for the open end faces of double-wall sheets is known from EP-A-0 052188. This end strip has an approximately U-shaped section, between the legs of which the double-wall plate is clamped and at the base section of which a drip edge connects to the outside, on the condensate water which forms in the cabbage chambers of the double-wall plate and which has openings in one leg of the U-shaped section emerges, can drain.

From DE-A-2 752 907 a rectangular plate element for soundproof walls is known, in which a sound insulation mat made of rock wool is enclosed between a solid plate and a perforated plate in a metal profile frame, which has circumferential recesses for receiving the edges of the two which protrude beyond the sound insulation mat Sheet metal plates is provided. With this plate element, the frame profiles protrude into the space between the two sheet metal plates up to the sound insulation mat and to each other, but not to the sound insulation mat or to the plate plates by means of corner brackets, onto which the profile ends are attached and clamped there by means of screws and clamping plates. This construction of the panel element requires rigid panels to be inserted into the profile frame and is therefore not applicable to double-wall panels made of plastic.

The object of the invention is to provide a double-wall plate element stiffened at the edge with profiles, in which the profiles are securely connected to the double-wall plate and yet movements are possible as a result of different thermal expansions.

This is achieved according to the invention in that two abutting profiles are connected to one another and to the double web plate by a two-leg corner corner arranged in a cutout of the double web plate, the legs of which are positively inserted into the ends of the two profiles, with at least one end of the profile entering the interior of the profile projecting edge areas of the two cover plates of the double-wall sheet are each arranged between the leg of the corner bracket inserted into the profile end and the respective inside of the profile. This configuration achieves the strongest possible connection of the double-wall sheet with at least two profiles that are at an angle to one another, wherein a different thermal expansion is possible by only fixing the double-wall sheet at points.

The invention is explained in more detail using an exemplary embodiment with reference to the drawings. In the drawings: FIG. 1 shows a double web plate in cross section, FIG. 2 shows a corner 3 shows a section along the line AA in FIG. 2, FIG. 4 shows the corner of FIG. 2 in the pulled-apart state and FIG. 5 shows the sharpened front part of one leg of the corner angle from above.

As an example, a right-angled corner connection of a rectangular double-wall sheet element is shown, and the invention can be used for all desired angles.

The double wall plate element consists of a double wall plate 1 whose edges are edged with profiles. In the corners of the double-wall sheet element, the profiles are connected to one another and to the double-wall sheet 1 by means of a corner bracket 2. The corner bracket 2, which is preferably inexpensively mass-produced from plastic, has a leg 3 which is shaped in accordance with the inner shape of a border profile 5 and which is pushed into the border profile 5 during assembly. The other leg 4 is also dimensioned such that it can be pushed into the other border profile 6, but smaller by the dimension of two of the two cover plates of the double wall plate 1. In addition, it is sharpened in the shape of a knife at its end 4 and equipped with barb-like elevations 7 over the entire length. During the automatic punching of the double-wall sheets 1 to the desired size, a triangular cutout 8 is also cut off at each corner, in which a part of the corner angle 2 is accommodated.

For assembly, the edging profile 6, which is at right angles to the longitudinal webs 1 'of the double wall plate 1, is now pushed onto the double wall plate 1. Now the corner bracket 2 with its smoothly shaped leg 3 is inserted into the mounting profile 5 dimensioned for the long side, and then the knife-shaped end 4 'of the corner bracket 4 is inserted into the front opening of the mounting profile 6 already attached to the double-wall sheet 1. When the border profile 5 intended for the long side is subsequently pressed on, the corner angle 2 is simultaneously pressed into the front opening of the border profile 6. The barb-like elevations of the leg 4 on both cover plates 1 "of the double web plate 1 press against the inside of the border profile 6, while the knife-shaped, pointed end 4 'cuts through the vertical, thin cell walls or longitudinal webs 1' while it is being pushed in. The Both cover plates 1 "are now fixed over the entire length of the leg 4 by the barb-like elevations on the corner bracket 2 against displacement in the transverse direction, while on the inside of the border profile 6 after a protruding protrusions 9 or noses, the displacement of the cover plates 1" of the double-wall sheet 1 in By means of these projections 9, however, it is also no longer possible to move the bordering profile 5 lying on the side, because the smooth leg 3 of the angle 2 is also supported on projections 10 or lugs 10. After all 4 corner connections have been pressed on, the double web plate 1 is without additional Tools with which they are around Binding profiles reliably connected, the border profiles being fixed in all directions, but at the same time leaving enough room for thermal expansion due to the fixing of the double-wall sheet only at the corner points.
