Abstract
Description
The invention relates to a packaging for carbonated drinks under pressure such as champagne or others, consisting of a composite box comprising a body formed from a plurality of strip materials, a metal bottom and / or cover, the internal faces of which are covered. a plastic film compatible with the acidity of the content and defining a tight and non-deformable envelope.
For the packaging and storage of carbonated drinks such as champagne, cider, sparkling wine and the like, glass bottles must be used as packaging to resist, on the one hand, the pressure generated by carbon dioxide and, on the other hand, to the acidity of the food product. However, in addition to their fragility, these bottles have a relatively large weight compared to the content, which has a significant drawback, either for their handling or for their transport.
To overcome these drawbacks, we thought to replace the glass bottles with another packaging consisting of metal boxes. These metal cans have a body, the two ends of which are closed off by a bottom and / or by a cover, the bottom and / or the cover being crimped onto the body. The internal faces of the body, the cover and the bottom are provided with a varnish to eliminate any contact between the metal and the contents. However, it has been found that the varnish cracks due to impact and / or handling of the boxes and, as a result, the contents come into contact with the metal. Similarly, it has been found that often the layer of varnish has defects through which the content can spread, causing corrosion of the internal faces of the metal box. As a result, there is an incompatibility between the content and the packaging in the form of metal cans and, more and more, there is a tendency to return to the use of glass bottles despite the drawbacks mentioned above.
Document US-A-2 307 923 discloses leaktight packaging, in particular packaging for carbonated drinks, the main purpose is to be resistant to shocks to which it may be subjected during storage or handling. This package comprises a body, a bottom and a cover as well as a certain number of reinforcing parts. The body, the cover and the bottom, made of a composite or fibrous material with the exclusion of a metallic layer, have on their internal face a thermoplastic coating. The connection between the body, the cover and the bottom is carried out using a completely flat disc associated with a layer, both fixed by wedging in a sort of claw produced using the body.
However, this packaging is not intended to receive liquids under high pressure and does not have an anti-corrosion coating intended to prevent reciprocal degradation of the container and the content.
Also known from docu. 1ent US-A-3 182 571, a packaging corresponding to the preamble of
Likewise, from document FR-A-2 473 994, a composite container is formed which is formed exclusively with materials of low mechanical resistance and, therefore, cannot be intended for packaging beverages generating high pressures. Furthermore, the bottom and the lid do not have on their internal faces plastic coatings intended to isolate them from the container and to maintain a strong bond between, respectively, the lid or the bottom and body of the packaging.
The present invention aims to remedy these drawbacks. The invention, as characterized in the claims, solves the problem of creating a packaging whose identical cover and bottom and provided on their internal face with plastic film walls are made integral by a double crimping of the cover and the bottom provided respectively with their plastic film on the ends of the body provided with its plastic film, said double crimping being completed by peripheral welds.
The advantages obtained thanks to this invention consist essentially in that an excellent preservation of the carbonated drink is obtained in a packaging of low weight but resistant to the internal pressure of the content.
The invention is set out below in more detail with the aid of drawings representing only one embodiment.

On se réfère à la figure 1.We refer to figure 1.
According to the invention, the

On se réfère à la figure 3.We refer to figure 3.
