Abstract

The packaging for multi-phase liquid products is designed in such a way that when using a volatile top additive, no liquid losses due to diffusion and creep can occur. For this purpose, the bottle stopper (5) is designed as a stand (7) and the bottle (1) is given such a shape that it cannot be opened with the opening (4) facing upwards. The screw or clamp closure (5) laterally overlaps the bottle neck (2) or projects laterally beyond it to form a sufficiently large footprint (7). The end (3) of the bottle (1) opposite the bottle opening (4) is curved in whole or in part so that there is no floor to be set up, and the volatile top additive (11) when the bottles are stored in the opening ( 4) and the closure (5) opposite part of the bottle (1) is encapsulated.

Description

For cosmetic purposes it is known to use two-phase liquid products, for example hair setting or setting-like products with a so-called top additive. The top additive consists of isoparaffins as the second phase. These are very volatile liquids which have this property even at room temperature and even more so at higher temperatures, so that tight packaging is very difficult. In addition, the isoparaffins have an extremely good creeping ability. They have a low specific weight and therefore always swim at the top in a two-phase mixture.

If these liquid products are filled into the usual bottles, there is considerable loss of top additive due to diffusion and creep in the area of the closure. For economic reasons, the caps of the bottles are provided with integral sealing elements, with capilla between the bottle neck and sealing element and liqueur columns cannot be avoided. The closures, which are usually made from polyolefins as a result of the necessary economy and functionality, have only a low diffusion density compared to isoparaffins.

The object of the invention is therefore to design the packaging for multi-phase liquid products so that liquid losses through diffusion and creep are avoided. This is achieved in an advantageous manner according to the invention in that the bottle stopper is designed as a base for bottles filled with multi-phase liquid products, and the bottle has such a shape that it cannot be opened with the opening facing upwards.

In the bottles designed according to the invention, the volatile and specifically lighter top additive is encapsulated in the part of the bottle opposite the opening, so that the volatile liquid is not in the opening / closure area and losses during storage are thereby avoided. This prevents both an optically visible lowering of the filling level and an objective loss of effectiveness of the overall product. The bottle and the closure can be produced inexpensively and an expensive closure seal, which would also result in cumbersome handling, is eliminated.

An advantageous development of the invention is seen in the fact that the screw or clamp closure engages over the bottle neck. In order to be able to store the bottle horizontally, it is advisable to provide it with at least one lateral support surface.

Further features of the invention can be found in the subclaims and the drawing and the associated drawing description.

  • Fig. 2 die Flasche nach Fig. 1 in Liegestellung.
The invention is explained in more detail below with reference to an embodiment shown in the drawing, which shows:
  • Fig. 1 is a bottle in longitudinal section, which is placed on its closure and
  • Fig. 2 shows the bottle of FIG. 1 in the lying position.

The bottle 1 has a bottle neck 2 and an outwardly curved base 3, which prevents the bottle 1 from being opened with the opening 4 facing upwards. A cap 5 is screwed or clamped onto the bottle neck 2, which laterally engages over the bottle neck 2 and has an outer ring 6. The outer ring 6 has approximately the same diameter as the bottle 1, so that there is a standing surface 7 which corresponds to the bottle diameter or is even larger. In order to be able to store the bottle horizontally, it can be provided with one or more lateral support surfaces.

As can be seen from the two figures, both in the standing position according to FIG. 1 and in the lying position according to FIG. 2, the volatile top additive 11 made of isoparaffins floating on the liquid 10 is not in the immediate area of the bottle cap, so that storage losses at the top additive due to diffusion and creep cannot occur.

It goes without saying that the invention is in no way limited to the exemplary embodiment shown in the drawing and described above, because there are various possible modifications in the design of the bottle according to the invention and its closure, without thereby leaving the scope of the invention.
