Abstract

Verfahren und Vorrichtung zum Erhitzen von Werk­ stücken aus magnetisierbarem Metall auf eine erhöhte Bearbeitungstemperatur, bei dem die Werkstücke zunächst induktiv auf eine Vorwärmtemperatur (T₁) erhitzt werden, die nicht wesentlich über der Curiepunkt-Temperatur des Metalls liegt, aus dem die Werkstücke hergestellt sind, und daß dann die vorgewärmten Werkstücke in einem hochwirksamen, elektrischen Strahlheizofen (F) auf die vorgewählte erhöhte Endtemperatur (T₂) nacherhitzt werden, die beispielsweise die Schmiedetemperatur sein kann. Zum Vorwärmen werden die Werkstücke (W) schrittweise durch einen von einer In­ duktionsheizspule (32) umschlossenen Kanal (30) geleitet und von dort in die Heizkammer (92) eines elektrischen Strahlheizofens (F) geführt, durch den sie schrittweise hin­ durchgeleitet werden und in dem sie auf ihre Endtemperatur (T₂) gebracht werden.
