Description

The invention relates to a storage device for dental work utensils, especially instruments and. Like., With a receptacle part that can be placed on a holder with a horizontal support surface, which receives the utensils directly or indirectly via a storage tray and the outer boundary of which at least partially contains an edge on the circumference with an edge end part pulled downward with respect to the storage surface of the receiving part.

For the storage and provision of dental work utensils, in particular instruments, the dentist uses receiving parts in the form of so-called trays or cassettes, which can be stored in corresponding recesses of special brackets usually mounted on support arms (US-A-33 46 957).

So far, two standardized trays have been introduced on the market, but their sizes differ from one another. To enable the customer to use both one and the other tray, the device manufacturer has to offer holders for both tray sizes. However, this means increased inventory. Later replacement of the tray holder at the customer is associated with increased conversion costs.

Dieses Sicherungselement ist in einer Ausführungsform in Form eines schwenkbar gelagerten Hebels, der mehrere den Rand hintergreifende Zähne enthält, ausgebildet.DE-A-19 53 694 discloses a holder for instrument trays which can be pivoted in the horizontal plane and has an upstanding edge, in which, according to a preferred embodiment, the bearing part receiving the tray is in the form of a lying U when viewed from the side. The lower leg of the U-shaped bearing part is designed as a broad support tab, the upper leg has a securing element which engages behind the edge of the instrument tray to be accommodated which is inserted into the bearing part. In one embodiment, this securing element is designed in the form of a pivotably mounted lever which contains a plurality of teeth which engage behind the edge.

Apart from the fact that the known construction is only suitable for holding trays with the edge pulled upwards, the lever arrangement shown there contains protruding parts which are not only to be avoided from a hygienic point of view, but also have the disadvantage that they are operated accidentally and so that the tray can accidentally fall out of its holder. Furthermore, in this embodiment and also in the other proposed solutions indicated in the cited document, in particular in the proposal of locking the tray by means of a removable bolt, the. Handling relatively cumbersome and does not allow one-handed operation.

The invention specified in claim 1 has for its object to provide a storage device of the type mentioned, which has no protruding and therefore prone to incorrect operation holding or locking members and in which the receiving part, which can accommodate the work utensils directly or indirectly via a cassette , relatively simple and easy (one-handed operation) by the user against another receiving part, e.g. B. for the purpose of easier pre-loading or cleaning or sterilizing the receiving part, can be replaced.

Advantageous refinements and developments of the invention are set out in the subclaims. An embodiment of the invention is explained below with reference to the drawing.

  • Figures 2 and 5 parts of the device of Figure 1 in section.
  • Figures 3 and 4 cross-sectional profile of two different receiving parts.

Figure 1 shows the storage device according to the invention in a side view. An angled holding arm 2 is pivotally supported on a wall or floor column 1. This holding arm is a fixed support of a detachably mounted, shown in dashed lines in the receiving part 3 for z. B. Instruments. The receiving part 3 can record the instruments directly or indirectly via one or more trays (cassettes). The receiving part 3 contains, at least partially on the circumference, but preferably all around the circumference, a shaped (flanged) edge 4 with a constant profile cross section (FIGS. 3 or 4). The edge 4 has an upper edge part 4a which is pulled up with respect to the bearing surface 5 and a lower edge end part 4b which runs downwards. The edge 4 is provided with a bevel 6 in the upper edge region.

The holding arm 2 has a support part 7 which extends approximately to the center of the receiving part 3 and on which a support part 9 which is guided in the direction of the arrow 8 and is longitudinally displaceable is held. The support part 9 contains at its free end, which is approximately half the width of the receiving part, a support or support surface 10 and at its other end a depression 11 formed by, for example, an undercut, into which the lower edge end part 4b of the receiving part 3 can engage in a form-fitting manner. In the engaged position, the receiving part is secured against pulling out and also against twisting. The holding arm 2 also contains, at a distance from the depression corresponding to the edge height, a projection 12 which somewhat overlaps the bevel 6 of the receiving part 3 in the held state. Due to the projection, the receiving part is guided in terms of area and is secured against falling out if it is accidentally bumped from below.

The contact surface 10 is formed (FIG. 2) by two insert parts 16a, 16b which are arranged one above the other and are embedded in a corresponding recess in the support part 9 and bear against contact surfaces 9a of the support part 9. The insert part 16b is provided with spacer webs 16c and can be inserted turned through 180 °. In the insert position shown, a somewhat increased contact surface is formed compared to the rest of the surface of the support part 9, and in the other insert position, in which the spacer webs 16c do not come into play, a contact surface which is flush with the rest of the surface is formed. With this choice position, differently designed receiving parts can be taken into account with regard to their edge configurations. The selection position can advantageously be marked on the insert.

The support member 9 is made of plastic and is guided in a spring-loaded manner in a slot 15 of the support member 7 by means of a bolt 14 loaded by compression spring 13, the support member 9 being pressed toward the support member 7 by the spring action.

The support part 9 is provided with a raised edge 9b, with which it can rest against the corresponding surface of the support part 7 or holding arm 2. By means of a resilient tongue 9c molded onto the edge 9b (FIG. 5), a certain pretension and thus position stabilization for the supporting part 9 are created.

In the illustrated engagement position, in which the receiving part 3 is held on the holding arm 2, a pin 17 bears against an advantageously adjustable stop 18 of the support part 7. If the supporting part 9 is raised by lifting the end part 19, which is expediently designed as a handle, the pin 17 comes to rest over the stop 18. Supported by the resilient tongue 9c, the supporting part is pushed out in the direction of arrow 8 until an edge 20 abuts another stop 21 of the supporting part 7. In this position, the edge 4 lies outside the projection 12, as a result of which the receiving part 3 can be easily removed.

The attachment takes place in reverse order, i. that is, the receiving part 3 with the lower edge end part 4b is first inserted into the depression 11. Then the support member 9 is inserted slightly counter to the direction of arrow 8. The slope comes under the ledge. Then the support member 9 is pressed down, whereby the pin 17 comes to rest against the stop 18.

It should be noted that the edge formation and size of the receiving part can be arbitrary. Figures 3 and 4 show, for example, two differently designed profiles that are suitable for the receiving part 3. If, as advantageously proposed, the receiving profile has a peripheral edge profile that remains the same in cross section, the receiving part can be held on any straight outer edge. Subsequent moving is also easily possible. On the basis of such a basic profile, further receiving elements such as, for example, B. medication containers, film viewers or handles are held.
