Definitions

  • the invention relates to a switch with two pin-like fixed contacts penetrating a housing base plate at a certain distance from one another and a contact bridge made from a spring plate and consisting of a flat material strip and extending between the fixed contacts, which in the region of a first end section has one out of the Strip has bent tabs and is clamped by means of the tab between a housing wall and one of the two fixed contacts, and in which an actuating body guided in the switch housing is provided with at least one projection, which has at least one correspondingly curved section of the contact bridge for its actuation or for locking of the actuator cooperates.
  • Such a switch is known from DE-A-2 621 864.
  • the contact bridge which is made of a spring plate and consists of a flat material strip, exerts a force directed away from the base plate on the actuating body which is pivotably mounted there and has to be absorbed by an upper housing part.
  • the upper housing part must be attached to a lower housing part or to a housing base plate in a relatively complex manner.
  • the object of the invention is therefore to design a switch of the type mentioned in such a way that the largest possible. Simplicity and ease of installation of the switch from the contact bridge in any position of the actuating body no force directed away from the base plate is exerted on the actuating body.
  • this object is achieved in that the flat material strip is arranged with its flat sides at right angles to the course of the housing base plate in the switch housing, that the strip with its first end section obliquely to the connecting line of the two fixed contacts between a correspondingly provided support wall of the housing and one The first of the two fixed contacts is clamped by means of the flap and is resiliently supported with its other, second end section with the resultant pretension on the other second of the two fixed contacts, and that the actuating body is a contact slide guided in the housing parallel to the connecting line between the two fixed contacts.
  • the strip is bulged in a trapezoidal shape on the side of the free end of the first end section in a central region
  • the contact slider has a plate-shaped extension towards the base plate, which is in the position of the switch in protrudes beyond the bulge of the central region and at its end facing the second fixed contact end with a transversely directed to the connecting line projection for acting on a forward portion of the central Stre i fen Schemees and Rastverhakung behind an opening provided in front of the second fixed contact bending of the strip is provided.
  • the contact slide is supported on the one hand with its attachment on a platform raised relative to the base plate and on the other hand on a cover plate of the housing.
  • the attachment By supporting the contact slide via its attachment on a platform that is higher than the rest of the base plate, the attachment has a relatively large dimensional stability despite its relatively slim design, since it only has to be dimensioned relatively short in the direction of the base plate.
  • a further embodiment of the invention provides that the cover plate is inserted between two side walls of the housing which are provided as end stops for the contact slide and are integral with the base plate and thereby rest on two further side walls forming guide walls of the contact slide, and that the cover plate has a guide slot for one has actuating cams protruding from the contact slide.
  • This configuration of the switch is advantageously made possible by the force-free guidance of the contact slide in the housing against the cover plate, since it is, for. B. is sufficient if the cover plate is provided on the edge side with a plastically deformable ribbing. When the cover plate is pressed between the side walls of the housing, which form stops for the contact slide, the ribbing ensures that the cover plate is sufficiently securely fixed to the switch housing.
  • the switch is used in a switch arrangement with a A plurality of mutually connected switch housings which are provided in parallel and are separated from one another by the guide side walls and have a common cover plate and each have a pair of fixed contacts, a contact bridge and a contact slide.
  • the switch housing has a base plate 1, from which side walls 2, 3 which are integral with the base plate 1 protrude at right angles to the base plate.
  • the side walls 2. 3 enclose together with the base plate 1 an essentially elongated cuboid cavity 28 into which pins 4 penetrate the base plate 1 and are anchored therein.
  • Each of these pins is assigned to a narrow side 29 of the cavity 28 and forms a fixed contact 6a, 6b of the switch with an end projecting into the cavity 28 parallel to the side walls 2, 3.
  • connection elements 5 which can be inserted into grid holes in a circuit board (not shown).
  • a contact bridge 7 made of a spring metal strip and consisting of a flat material strip is provided.
  • the strip 7 is in constant electrical connection with the first 6a of the two fixed contacts 6a, 6b. This is brought about by the fact that the flat sides 9 of the strip 7 arranged at right angles to the course of the base plate 1 in the housing cavity 28 in the region of a first end section 8a assigned to the first fixed contact 6a form a window 11 from the cross-section to the course of the strip 7 Strip 7 has bent tabs 12 and rests with this tab 12, the free end of which is directed away from the base plate 1, resiliently against the first fixed contact 6a.
  • the resilient abutment of the tab 12 on the first fixed contact 6a is brought about in that the strip 7 with its first end section 8a on its side facing away from the first fixed contact 6a by the spring action of the tab 12 against a body 30 projecting into the cavity 28 integrally connected to the base plate 1. formed support wall 10 is pressed.
  • the tab 12 can also be attached to the fixed contact 6a by a welded connection, the z. B. is generated by means of a laser.
  • the support wall 10 extends at right angles to the base plate 1 and obliquely to the connecting line 26 between the two fixed contacts 6a and 6b.
  • the first end section 8a of the strip 7 also extends obliquely to the connecting line 26.
  • the second end section 8b thereof which is assigned to the other second fixed contact 6b, must therefore be on the same side behind this fixed contact 6b , on which the first end section 8a is located with respect to the first fixed contact 6a, are bent back.
  • the strip 7 is thus provided with a bias by the inclination of the first end section 8a with respect to the connecting line 26, with which it bears with its second end section 8b against the second fixed contact 6b.
  • the body 30, which forms the support wall 10 with its side facing the first fixed contact 6a is provided with bevels 31.
  • the body 30 and the first end section 8a of the strip 7 protrude the first fixed contact 6a approximately with the width of a border 13 which the window 11 in the first end section 8a of the strip 7 on the upper side of the strip, that is to say that facing away from the base plate 1 Side, limited.
  • a recess 14 is provided in the body 30, so that the boundary 13 can be gripped by an insertion tool unhindered when the first end section 8a is inserted between the support wall 10 and the first fixed contact 6a.
  • the strip 7 is provided in a central region 15 with an approximately trapezoidal shape of the strip 7 with a bulge 32 which is directed towards the free end 27 of the first end section 8a.
  • a plate-shaped extension 16 of the contact slide 17 protrudes from above.
  • the extension 16 is free of forces in the region of the bulge 32.
  • the contact slide 17 is guided parallel to the connecting line 26 through the side walls 3, which extend parallel to the connecting line 26.
  • transverse sidewalls 2 form end stops for the contact slide 17. If the contact slide is moved against the second fixed contact 6b, the shoulder 16 runs with a dome-shaped projection 18 projecting from the shoulder 16 transversely to the direction of movement of the contact slide onto an inclined section of the strip 7, the through the bulge 32 on the side of the second fixed contact 6b in the course of the strip 7 is formed.
  • the second end section 8b of the strip 7 is thereby lifted off the second fixed contact 6b and thus the electrical connection between the first and the second fixed contact is interrupted.
  • a bend 20 provided in the course of the strip 7 between the central region 15 and the second end section 8b is dimensioned such that the projection 16 with the projection 18 on the side of the second fixed contact 6b can snap behind the bend 20, as a result of which the contact slide 17 in the switch off position is held on the one hand by a side wall 20, and on the other hand by the projection 18, which is supported on the bend 20.
  • the contact slide 17 need only be briefly moved in the direction of the first fixed contact 6b, because as soon as the projection 18 has overcome the bend 20. the contact slide 17 is automatically brought back into its other end position assigned to the switch-off position by the inclined section 19 of the strip 7.
  • the projection 16 lies on the side facing away from the strip 7 of one of the two side walls 3 of the housing, so that forces acting on the extension 16 from the strip 7 are intercepted by this wall.
  • the approximately block-shaped contact slide 17 is supported in the direction of the base plate 1 via the extension 16 on a platform 21 which has a higher level than the rest of the base plate 1, so that the length of the extension 16 in the direction of the base plate 1 to an extent can be limited, which ensures sufficient stability of the approach 16.
  • the strip 7 Dimensioned relatively wide in the area of the first end section 8a and relatively narrow in the area of the second end section 8b, the upper edge of the strip 7 facing away from the base plate 1 running essentially parallel to the base plate 1, but the edge of the strip 7 facing the base plate 1 between the Inclined portion 19 and the first end portion 8a of the strip 7 has a transition portion 33 directed obliquely upward from the base plate 1.
  • the cavity 28 is closed by a cover plate 22 which is inserted between those side walls 2 of the housing which form end stops for the contact slide 17.
  • the cover slide 22 holds the contact slide 17 in the cavity 28 in the direction facing away from the base plate 1.
  • An actuating cam 24 of the contact slide 17 protrudes through a guide slot 23 of the cover plate 22 and is made flush with the free end of the side walls 2.
  • the cover plate 22 forms on the side facing away from the base plate 1 a conical trough 34 which surrounds the actuating cam 24 at least on three sides, so that it can be securely gripped by an actuating tool.
  • the cover plate 22 is provided peripherally with plastically deformable ribs that deform during pressing the cover plate 22 between the side walls 2 and thereby the cover plate 22 - hold in the assembled state.
  • the cover plate 22 lies on the guide side walls 3, which extend parallel to the connecting line 26.
  • the switch is ideally suited to be part of a switch arrangement as a switch cell, which is constructed in the manner of a dual-inline module and in which the connection elements 5 are parallel to one another in two rows from the housing in the pitch of the holes Protruding PCB.
  • Each switch can be operated independently of the other switches in the switch arrangement.
  • the side walls 2, 3 of the housing are formed in one piece with the base plate 1 and the pins 4 are anchored in a gas-tight and thus solder and washproof manner in the base plate 1, harmful substances can only penetrate into the switch interior via the guide slot 23.
  • the dimensioning of the actuating cam 24 flush with the side walls 2 and the end side walls 3 of a switch arrangement makes it possible to cover the top of the switch or a switch arrangement consisting of a plurality of such switches with a common cover plate 22 and a one-piece switch housing consisting of a base plate 1 and side walls 2, 3 to seal with an adhesive film 25 which is only removed after the printed circuit board connected to the switch has been completely assembled.
