Definitions

  • the invention relates to an electrical built-in fuse base with the features of the preamble of claim 1.
  • Such a base is known from DE-A-29 03 826 and serves to accommodate fuse links of different nominal current strengths.
  • Such inserts have end contact caps which, in the switched-on position, are acted upon on both sides by mating contacts located in the area of the housing side walls. These mating contacts are either arranged fixed to the housing or, in particular in the case of fuse bases which are designed for high nominal current, can be pivoted together with the inner part.
  • the invention has for its object to design a fuse base according to the preamble such that it is improved in terms of its electrical protection against accidental contact.
  • the key idea of the invention is to provide protection against accidental contact by means of a rotary lock on the pivotable inner part, which can only be lifted by the holder for the fuse links which fits into the shaft of the pivotable inner part. It is therefore only possible to pivot the inner part into the switch-on and thus dangerous position if the correct fuse switch is used. In particular, it is not possible to move the pivotable inner part into the switched-on position, for example by means of a screwdriver or a finger inserted therein. When switched, d. H.
  • counter-contacts is avoided by the invention that the counter-contacts are energized by the switch-on pivoting movement, with non-switched and housing-fixed counter-contacts it is avoided that the counter-contacts are exposed behind the lateral openings of the inner part and brought into contact with them by moving the pivotable inner part can.
  • the features of claim 2 take into account the fact that the switches in question are to be made as narrow as possible, thus utilizing a housing area which is available unused in most switch designs anyway.
  • housing protrusions are at least partially pressed against it in the region of the handle, thus achieving an additional inhibitory effect of the switch in the switch-on position.
  • a switch-on snap effect is achieved in that the holder must first be pressed somewhat against the spring force of the latching device into the shaft before the switch-in pivoting movement, after which the switch-in pivoting movement can take place suddenly by unlocking.
  • the pin is assigned an advantageous double function, since it not only serves as an organ that disengages the latching, but can also switch on and off an electrical operating state display device, for example an electrical operating state display device, which is provided in the fuse base, via electrical switching means should.
  • the pin is furthermore advantageous if it serves as an unmistakable organ for the nominal current size between the inner part and the holder due to different cross-sectional shape or pin length or thickness and / or different off-center arrangement. This makes it impossible to insert a holder with a low nominal current into the base, let alone to put the inner part of the base in the switch-on position.
  • the latching device of only one base acts in a particularly advantageous manner on the base located next to it, which makes it impossible, for example to switch on even one pole of a multi-pole fuse socket if not all holders of the socket are used in accordance with the regulations in accordance with the nominal current.
  • the built-in fuse base 1 for fuse links with end contact caps essentially consists of a base housing 2 and an inner part 3 which can be pivoted therein, into which the fuse link can be inserted by means of a holder 4 which carries an actuating handle 5 at its outer end.
  • the holder 4 is open on both sides in such a way that the end contact caps can be acted upon by counter contacts 6, 7 provided within the base housing 2.
  • the mating contacts 6 are arranged fixed to the housing, the mating contacts 7, on the other hand, are fastened to the swiveling inner part, with the mating contacts 7 only becoming live through the switching contacts 8 when the swiveling inner part 3 has been brought into the switch-on position shown in FIG. (It is also possible to provide only movable or fixed counter contacts within the base housing).
  • a latching device 10 which interacts with the pivotable inner part 3 is provided, the latching part of which is a latching nose 11 which is spring-loaded against the pivotable inner part 3 and which engages in a cutout 12 of the inner part 3 in the switched-off position when the holder 4 is pulled out.
  • the latching lug 11 is brought out of engagement with the pivotable inner part in that a projection (pin 14) arranged on the end 13 remote from the actuating handle 5 has a passage opening 15 in the bottom 16 of the insertion shaft 17 reaches through and lifts the locking lug 11 out of the counter-locking (recess 12) of the pivotable inner part against the spring direction 18 (see dashed illustration of the locking device 10 in FIG. 1).
  • the latching device 10 is advantageously designed as an elongated spring lever made of resilient plastic material running approximately parallel to the housing base 9 and from which the latching lug 11 projects upwards.
  • the pivoting end 19 of the locking device 10 designed as a spring lever can be supported in the direction of the pivotable inner part 3 to support the spring force by an additional spring (coil spring 20).
  • the pin runs in the insertion direction 21 of the holder, is partially conical and is arranged eccentrically on the holder 4. Unlocking the locking device 10 is thus only possible by a holder 4 which has a pin arranged on the holder to match the passage opening 15.
  • rotary coupling pieces 22 can be provided in a cross-shaped cross section, which couple the rotary movement of the inner parts 3 of base housings lying next to one another.
  • switching contacts which interact with the latching device 10 in the area of the housing base 9 and are used to switch an operating status display device, not shown in detail, in particular an electronic flashing circuit on and off.
