Abstract
Description
The invention relates to a device for cleaning, in particular small-bore pipes, with a high-pressure hose which is driven in rotation about its axis and which has at least one nozzle at its front end for the exit of the cleaning liquid.
Such a device is known (DE-GM 81 35 474). The known device has proven itself. Problems can arise, however, if small-caliber pipes are to be cleaned and a high-pressure hose with a relatively small outside diameter has to be used for this. Then there is the danger that the front end of the high-pressure hose, which is provided with the nozzle, is blocked in the pipe while the rotary drive for the high-pressure hose continues to work. Loops can then form in the high-pressure hose and, under unfavorable conditions, the high-pressure hose can also tear or break.
The object of the invention is to improve a device of the type described above so that it is particularly suitable for cleaning small-caliber pipes or for cleaning objects with small-caliber openings.
This object is achieved in that the high-pressure hose is guided in a non-rotatable protective hose, one end of which can be connected to the tube or to a rotary leadthrough for a lance coupled to the high-pressure hose. The protective tube together with the high-pressure tube can have any length per se. It forms a guide for the small-caliber high-pressure hose, which is not only protected against twisting, but also against entanglement. Nevertheless, the system of high-pressure hose and protective hose is flexible, so that it is possible to guide the high-pressure hose together with the protective hose in an arc. It is only necessary that the protective tube has sufficient flexural rigidity. The protective hose should preferably have greater flexural rigidity than the high-pressure hose. In addition, the inner diameter of the protective hose can be up to 30 times as large as the outer diameter of the high-pressure hose.
If the device is used for cleaning pipes, the drive is usually followed by a device acting on the high-pressure hose for generating a feed. In this case, the protective tube can be connected to the device in a rotationally fixed manner and can be between a large-caliber high-pressure hose can be arranged for the drive and the device, which extends into the protective hose and is coupled there to the small-caliber high-pressure hose. With the large-caliber high-pressure hose, a high level of work safety is achieved outside the protective hose, so that no hose breaks occur even at high pressures. The large-caliber high-pressure hose also has sufficient stability so that it does not form loops or loops on the line between the drive and the device for generating the feed. Under the effect of generating the feed, the large-caliber high-pressure hose is drawn into or inserted into the protective hose and pushes the small-caliber high-pressure hose over the end of the protective hose connected to the pipe to be cleaned into the pipe to be cleaned. The result is a rigid system in the axial direction, which prevents the small-caliber high-pressure hose inserted into the pipe from being pushed out of the pipe even in the event of malfunctions.
The device can also be used in manual operation for cleaning other objects, such as hollow bodies. For this purpose, the protective hose is held in the area of the drive in a rotationally fixed manner, while the rotating leadthrough is a portable hand-held device for the lance. It is understood that the handheld device is designed so that it can be held securely by an operator. The high-pressure hose is guided in the protective hose and in front of the handheld device with the rotating one Lance coupled, which carries the outlet nozzles for the cleaning liquid at its front end. The lance can be inserted into an opening in the hollow body or the like, which is cleaned with the cleaning liquid emerging from the nozzles of the lance.
