Description

The invention relates to a method for wrapping stacked goods with an expandable plastic film (stretch film).

A winding machine for carrying out such a method is known, which has a support which is rotatably mounted at one end about a vertical axis of rotation, at the free end of which a support arm extends vertically downwards, which carries a winding device which is used to hold a roll of plastic film trained and is adjustably mounted in the longitudinal direction of its support arm. To wrap the good, the carrier is rotated about the vertical axis of rotation after the end of the film has been placed on the good, the film being rolled off the roll under tension and wound helically around the good due to the height adjustment of the winding device. The goods must be stacked on a pallet in this known winding machine.

The invention has for its object to provide a method of the type mentioned, which allows to completely wrap the good.

This object is achieved in that the wrapping is carried out from the bottom up, in such a way that something is rolled back up to the top and from there, then a film is placed on the top of the material and with its by means of adjustable means in a frame Edges around the top of the goods, then again up to the top and then wrapped down and finally the wrapping film is cut off.

In a further development of the invention, the material is covered on its underside by a film which is firmly wrapped with its edges in the lateral, helical wrapping. In this way, a pallet can be dispensed with.

A particularly expedient development of the method according to the invention consists in that the goods are stacked in method step b) in such a way that two parallel stages for the engagement of a forklift arise at the lower edges of the container. The foil lying on the underside of the container adapts to the steps, so that the fork of a forklift can be moved laterally under the container.

Das zu umwickelnde Gut 14 steht swischen den Stützen 6.In the figure 1, a chain conveyor 1 is shown, which has a series of bases 2, 3, 4 one behind the other, the z. B. may be formed by extending the width of the chain conveyor 1 brackets. The bases 2, 3, 4 serve to carry a bundle of stacked goods. For the wrapping of this material with a plastic film, a winding machine 5 is provided, which has a roof 7 on a frame with four supports 6, on which a carrier 8 is rotatably mounted about a vertical axis 9. A vertically downwardly extending support arm 10, 11 is fastened to each of the two ends of the carrier 8. Each support arm 10, 11 carries a winding device 12, 13, which is designed to hold a roll of the film material and is mounted so as to be adjustable in the longitudinal direction of its support arm 10, 11. The material 14 to be wrapped is swished between the supports 6.

The wrapping of the goods 14 takes place in the following way:
  • First, a plastic film 15 is placed on the base 2 in the station A, which protrudes beyond the base 2. For reinforcement, a plate, e.g. B. a cardboard plate 16 are placed on the film 15. Subsequently, the base 2 with the film 15 and optionally the cardboard plate 16 which moves the station B, in which the goods 14 are stacked on the film 15 or the cardboard plate 16. The goods can be formed, for example, from sacks, stones, boxes or the like. The goods 14 are stacked according to FIGS. 2 and 3 in such a way that two parallel steps 17 are created for the engagement of a forklift at the lower edges of the container. 2 shows a view of the goods on the base 2 in station B in the direction of the chain conveyor 1, while FIG. 3 shows a perspective view of the stacked goods 14.

The goods 14 are moved from the station B into the station C, ie into the winding machine 5. In station C, the edge of the film 15 is pressed up from below with the aid of blowers 18 and pneumatically actuated stamps 19. The goods 14 are then wrapped by the wrapping films (stretch films) on the wrapping devices 12, 13 in such a way that the two ends of the foils wound on the rolls of the winding devices 12, 13 are placed on the goods 14 or are held in the vicinity thereof, and then the carrier 8 with the support arms 10, 11 is turned counterclockwise (arrow 20 in FIG. 5) with the aid of a Motor 21 is driven on the roof 7, the winding devices 12, 13 moving in the longitudinal direction of the support arms (10, 11 from the bottom up and back until all the goods 14 are wrapped. Then the films are removed from the rolls of the winding devices 12, 13 from separately, e.g. B. welded, and attached to the good 14 and the wrapping process is finished.

The wrapping takes place on the underside of the goods 14 in such a way that the roll of the winding device 12 is wound so far down that the wrapping film is placed around the lower edge of the container while the winding device 13 is already moving upwards puts. The number and height of the windings and their pitch are variable. The direction of rotation of the carrier 8 depends on the conveying direction of the packaged goods and can also take place in a clockwise direction. Then the helical wrapping of the material 14 is carried out by moving the winding devices 12, 13 upwards. The winding device 12 does not wrap the material 14 all the way up, but only in the lower area. The edge of the film 15, which is pressed upwards by the components 18, 19, is thereby wrapped tightly by the films of the winding devices 12, 13, so that the container is held firmly together by a film by means of a forklift.

It can be seen from FIGS. 1 and 4 that the winding machine 5 on the carrier 8 has a frame with rails 22 in which rollers 23 can be adjusted from the fully drawn position to the position shown in dashed lines. The rollers 23 guide a plastic film 26 guided by a supply roll 24 via a deflection roller 25 and cause this plastic film 26 to be placed on the top of the good 14. For this purpose, the rollers 23 are adjusted in the direction of arrow 27 without being rotated. Accordingly, you pull the film 26 from the supply roll 24. The film 26 protrudes somewhat from the rollers 23 on the right and hangs downward in the right, dashed end position of the rollers 23. When the rollers 23 move back against the arrow 27, they lay down in their fully drawn position on the top of the goods 14, because the rollers 23 are rotated during the return movement so that the film 26 is no longer moved. If the rollers 23 are again in their starting position, the film 26 is separated near this position and then falls onto the good 14. It can also be blown onto the good 14 with the aid of compressed air.

The wrapping of the material 14 on the upper side takes place in the station C in such a way that the winding device 13 winds up to the very top and from there somewhat backward when the film 26 is not yet placed, to the extent that it is below the lower, is the hanging edge of the film 26 when it is placed. The film 26 is then placed in the manner described and its edges placed around the top of the good 14. Finally, with the help of the winding device 13, it is wound again all the way to the top and then all the way down and then the wrapping film is cut off. This prevents water from entering the material 14 from above.

Instead of using two winding devices 12, 13, only one can also be provided, in which case, of course, only one support arm 10, 11 is required.
