Abstract

A rove of fibres (1) is drawn inside the drawing frame proper (2) and then into a condenser unit (6) in the form of a mobile guiding surface on which the fibres (1) are delivered tangentially and which exerts a stretching force on the free end of the fibres. The spun yarn formed is, before being wound, subjected to false twisting (7) by means of a spindle with crossed belts or their equivalent. The method makes it possible to manufacture a spun yarn that can be used immediately without giving it a further twist.

Description

La présente invention concerne un perfectionnement apporté au procédé mis en oeuvre sur le dispositif faisant l'objet du FR-A-2520389 correspondant à 1' US-A-4488397.The present invention relates to an improvement made to the process implemented on the device which is the subject of FR-A-2520389 corresponding to 1 US-A-4488397.

This patent application describes a device which makes it possible to stretch, condense and transport a wick of fibers during a spinning operation.

In general, according to this document, a condenser element is arranged following the drawing system proper, said condenser element being in the form of a movable guide surface on which the fibers are delivered tangentially, this guide surface allowing to exert a tensile force on the end of the fibers delivered by the drawing system and being arranged upstream of a conventional spinning system, for example with rings and sliders.

According to an embodiment mentioned in this document, the conventional spinning system can be constituted by a false twist spindle. Such a false twist pin makes it possible to communicate a certain cohesion to the yarn which, in certain cases, makes it possible to obtain a wire which can be used directly without having to communicate additional twist to it.

However, it has been found, and this is the subject of the present invention, that it was possible, by the simple selection of a determined false twist spindle, from among all the spindles known to date, to improve still the cohesion of the yarn formed insofar as the spindle used not only communicates a false twist in the wire but also exerts a traction on said wire.

Among the suitable false twist pins, suitable for implementing the method according to the invention, mention may be made of crossed belt pins, pins well known to technicians which it is therefore unnecessary to describe in detail.

Of course, other types of pins simultaneously fulfilling the two aforementioned functions could be used.

In general, the invention therefore relates to an improvement to the method allowing the implementation of the device which is the subject of FR-A-2520389
, process which consists, during a spinning operation making it possible to transform a wick of fibers into a spun to stretch said wick by passing it through the drawing system proper followed by a condenser element which is in the form of a movable guide surface on which the fibers are delivered tangentially and which tends to exert a tensile force on the free end of said fibers, the yarn formed being, before winding, subjected to the action of a false twist spindle disposed at the outlet of the condenser element, the method according to the invention is characterized in that the false twist spindle is chosen from the spindles which tend to exert a tensile force on the yarn.

The invention and the advantages which it brings will however be well understood thanks to the embodiment given below by way of indication but not limitation and which is illustrated by the single appended figure which is a schematic perspective view of a installation allowing the implementation of the method according to the invention.

If reference is made to the appended figure for the implementation of the method according to the invention, an installation is used which comprises, in a manner similar to that which is the subject of FR_A-2520389 a drawing device d '' a wick of fibers (1) (or ribbon), wick coming from a power source not shown, this drawing system comprising, in the case present, a conventional drawing train designated by the general reference (2) and which consists of a pair of food cylinders (3), a sleeve system (4) and a pair of drawing cylinders (5).

The drawing of the wick (1) is carried out between these elements by communicating to them different speeds.

At the outlet of the stretching device (2), therefore in this case, in the immediate vicinity of the stretching cylinders (5), is arranged a condenser guide (6) driven in rotation at a speed V 2 which can be either equal is different from the speed V 1 of exit from the wick of the cylinders (5). When the speed V 2 is equal to the speed V 1 , this device makes it possible to condense the wick (1) in the width direction. On the other hand, if V 2 is greater than V 1 , it is possible simultaneously to condense the wick and to provide additional stretching.

Le fond de cette gorge est percé d'orifices et un système d'aspiration est prévu à l'intérieur du condenseur (6).In the embodiment illustrated by the appended diagram, this condenser guide (6) is rotated by any suitable means not shown and is essentially in the form of two truncated cones joined by their top so as to obtain a groove V-shaped whose branches are substantially inclined relative to each other by an angle of about 120 °. The bottom of this groove is pierced with orifices and a suction system is provided inside the condenser (6).

According to the invention, downstream of this condenser guide (6), a false twist pin (7) is arranged which not only communicates a twist which rises freely up to the surface of the condenser guide but also, tends to exert a tensile force T on the spun yarn formed. Preferably, a spindle of known type with crossed belts is used as the false twist spindle (7).

Downstream of this spindle (7), a system is arranged call (8), the spun yarn being returned in (9) on a conventional system not imparting additional twist to the spun yarn formed.

By working under the aforementioned conditions, it has been found that the yarn formed has improved cohesion compared to the previous yarn obtained by using another type of false twist spindle which does not exert any tensile force on the yarn during its formation.

ExempleExample

On réalise un filé de fibres conformément au procédé selon l'invention à partir d'une mèche de polyester ayant un titre de 35 000 Dtex, la coupe des fibres étant de 40 mm.A fiber spun is produced according to the method according to the invention from a polyester wick having a titer of 35,000 Dtex, the fiber cut being 40 mm.

Le système d'étirage (2) est réglé de manière à avoir un étirage de 100, la vitesse V1 des cylindres d'appel (5) étant régulée à 15.0 m/mn.The stretching system (2) is adjusted so as to have a stretch of 100, the speed V 1 of the call cylinders (5) being regulated at 15.0 m / min.

Les courroies de la broche (7) seront inclinées l'une par rapport à l'autre de manière à former un angle de 90° et la vitesse linéaire desdites courroies est réglée à 350 m/mn.The condenser guide (6) is driven at a speed of rotation such that the speed V 2 at the bottom of the groove is 150 m / min. The belts of the spindle (7) will be inclined with respect to each other so as to form an angle of 90 ° and the linear speed of said belts is adjusted to 350 m / min.

A yarn is obtained in (9) having a titer of 350 Dtex which has very good cohesion and can be used as it is without further twisting.

By way of comparison, if we replace the false-twist spindle with belt friction used in accordance with the invention with a false-twist spindle with discs, commonly referred to by technicians as "external friction spindle", we also obtain, by working under the same conditions, a yarn which has good cohesion, but which, however, is less than that obtained in accordance with the invention.

It is the same when replacing the pin to belts according to the invention and an internal friction spindle is used instead.

Of course, the invention is not limited to the embodiment described above, but it covers all the variants produced in the same spirit. Thus, it could be envisaged, not to produce simple yarns but core yarns by introducing, in a known manner, a core yarn upstream of the stretching cylinders (5), or even to obtain doubled yarns by treating simultaneously two wicks.
