Abstract

The device uses what is known as the method "with freed fibres". In this method, the fibres fed from a roving (3) are distributed inside a rotor (5) by means of a taker-in (4) and are held by the centrifugal force against the inner surface of the said rotor (5) so as to form a spun yarn. This yarn is drawn out through a doffing tube (6) on the axis of the said rotor. In this process, a false twist is given to the spun yarn at the output from the rotor (5). The false twist is produced by a spindle (8) separated from the rotor (5). The spindle gives a further twist in the same direction as that given by the rotor. <IMAGE>

Description

Ld ptésente invention concerne un dispositif permettant ll'optention d'un ffilé de fibres.L d ptésente invention relates to a device ll'optention of a fiber ffilé.

Elle a trait plus particulièrement a un penection- nement apporté à la technique de filature désignée par l'expression "technique open-end".It relates more particularly to a penetration brought to the spinning technique designated by the expression "open-end technique".

In general, according to this open-end technique, the yarn is obtained directly from a fiber ribbon by means of an assembly (breaker and rotor) which provides the three essential functions necessary for obtaining a yarn of fibers, namely the stretching-refining of the ribbon, the parallelization of the fibers and the twisting.

Such a rotor (also called a turbine) is in the form of a hollow enclosure, having substantially the shape of two truncated cones joined by their large bases and which is driven in rotation at high speed. The fibers of the food tape are distributed inside this rotor by means of a breaker. The fibers are pressed by centrifugal force inside the rotor and form a ring which is extracted in the form of a yarn whose twist is given by the rotor itself. The extraction of the spun yarn can be done both by a pipe arranged in the axis of the rotor as by the very axis of drive of said rotor, this axis being of course, in this case, hollow.

  • - une vitesse de production du filé qui, actuellement, plafonne et semble difficilement pouvoir être augmentée de manière simple ;
Although this technique is very widely used to date, it still has a certain number of drawbacks among which we can cite:
  • - a speed of production of the yarn which, currently, levels off and seems difficult to be able to be increased in a simple manner;
  • - the fact that it is practically impossible to work with fibers of different and / or variable lengths.

Various solutions have been proposed to overcome these drawbacks, but it should be noted that, to date, none has found real industrial development.

Among these solutions, that which is the subject of French patent application no. 2 360 695 in the name of the Applicant allows, to a certain extent, to solve these problems but has the disadvantage of driving a relatively complex assembly, delicate to put in action.

In general, the technique described in this patent is characterized by the use of a specially shaped rotary chamber, playing the role of the rotor, this chamber serving to parallelize the fibers under the effect of centrifugal force and to transport them, by passing through a fixed groove, to a twisting element constituted by a false twist pin.

Such a device is, as said previously, relatively difficult to implement and, moreover, the twisting member which it comprises does not make it possible to precisely control the fibers.

Prior to this solution, it had been proposed in FR-A-1 546 714 to adapt a particular false twist device at the outlet of the turbine (rotary chamber). According to this document, it is proposed to use in place of a rotary false twist spindle a fixed assembly comprising a rigid, smooth metallic wire around which the wire passes helically.

If such a device makes it possible to increase the rate of twist communicated to the thread, it does not however make it possible to envisage increasing the winding speeds and consequently the productivity.

More recently, as appears from the article published in the journal "Textile Industry - No. 1131 March 1983 pages 229 and 230", it has been proposed to increase (double) the production of "open-end" spinning installations by mounting several threading chambers in series. Such solutions lead to complex assemblies and do not really correspond to an increase in the speed of production.

However, we have found, and this is what is the subject of the present invention, an improvement to the device using the method according to which an additional twist is imparted to the wire at the outlet of the rotor which overcomes the drawbacks of previous solutions and which allows an increase in production speeds for a given speed of the rotor while retaining good textile qualities in the yarn formed. This device results from a simple combination of a rotor and a conventional false twist spindle used industrially as well for "open-end " spinning as for texturing.

In general, the device according to the invention is of the type according to which a false twist spindle is disposed at the outlet of the rotor, this spindle communicating to the yarn an additional twist in the same direction as that given by the rotor and is characterized by the fact that the false twist pin used allows not only to give this additional twist to the yarn but also exerts a tensile force propelling the yarn.

As the type of spindle, a spindle with crossed belts is preferably used.

The rate of additional false twist communicated to the yarn may vary, but preferably this rate is set to ur. high level.

It has been found that, by proceeding in the aforementioned manner, it is possible to practically double the speeds of the yarn call deliverer, deliverer disposed before the winding system and this, without harming the textile qualities of the yarn formed. In addition, in some case, depending on the additional twist communicated, it is also possible to obtain a yarn having a particular structure compared to conventional open-end yarn. Indeed, especially in the case where a strong additional twist is used, the yarn obtained comprises, at its periphery, a layer of fibers which are twisted in the opposite direction to the twist imparted by the spindle and the rotor.

Such a particularly simple solution was not, however, obvious to a person skilled in the art, this being proved, not only by the unexpected results that it makes it possible to obtain a reduction in the speed of rewinding without modifying the speed of the rotor and without deterioration of the properties of the wire) but also by the fact that, despite the teachings of French patent 1,546,714, since that date, the technicians had considered completely different solutions.

The invention and the advantages which it brings will however be better understood thanks to the embodiment given ri-apres by way of indication but not limitation and which is illustrated by the single appended diagram which represents an installation comprising a device according to the invention.

Cette installation présente :

  • - une alimentation en fibres constituée, par exemple, par un pot (1) ;
  • - un système d'appel (2) du ruban (3) contenu dans le pot ;
  • - un briseur rotatif (4) conventionnel destiné à paralléliser les fibres individuelles du ruban (3) ;
  • - un rotor (5), conventionnel, entraîné en rotation et à l'intérieur duquel sont projetées les fibres délivrées par le briseur (4) ;
  • - un conduit (6) disposé dans l'axe du rotor (5) et ptr mettant d'extraire le filé (7) dans ledit rotor ;
  • - une broche de fausse torsion (8), du type à courroies croisées, permettant de communiquer une torsion additionnelle du filé formé, tersion de même sens que celle communiquée dans le rotor (5) : cette broche (8) exerce également une traction sur le filé et tend à le propulser ;
This installation presents:
  • - a fiber supply consisting, for example, of a pot (1);
  • - a call system (2) for the ribbon (3) contained in the pot;
  • - a conventional rotary breaker (4) intended to parallelize the individual fibers of the ribbon (3);
  • - a rotor (5), conventional, driven in rotation and inside which are projected the fibers delivered by the breaker (4);
  • - A conduit (6) disposed in the axis of the rotor (5) and ptr putting to extract the yarn (7) in said rotor;
  • - a false twist spindle (8), of the type with crossed belts, making it possible to communicate an additional twist of the spun yarn, turning in the same direction as that communicated in the rotor (5): this spindle (8) also exerts traction on spun and tends to propel it;
  • - a call deliverer (9) allowing the yarn (10) to be brought to the conventional winding system (11).

Exemple :Example:

On an installation of the aforementioned type, a yarn of fibers is made from a combed cotton ribbon (3) weighing three grams per meter.

Les conditions opératoires sont les suivantes :

  • - vitesse d'alimentation en (2) : 0,864 m/mn ;
  • - vitesse de relation de la turbine (5) : 11 000t/mn,
  • - vitesse d'appel du délivreur (9) : 50 m/mn ;
The operating conditions are as follows:
  • - feed speed in (2): 0.864 m / min;
  • - relationship speed of the turbine (5): 11,000 rpm,
  • - calling speed of the deliverer (9): 50 m / min;
  • - false twist spit (8): adjusted so as to impart an additional twist to the yarn of approximately 800 rpm.

By working under the aforementioned conditions, a yarn having a count of 500 decitex is obtained, said yarn being usable in weaving, for example. For comparison, if one works in a conventional manner on the installation of the aforementioned type, that is to say without passing the yarn inside the false twist spindle (8), it has been found that to obtain a product with comparable characteristics, it was imperative to have a call speed at most equal to 20 m / min.

The above example clearly shows the advantages provided by the invention and in particular the fact that for a given rotor speed, it is practically possible to double production, without practically damaging the qualities of the yarn formed.

In the previous example, the production speeds may seem slow but it should be noted that this example was produced on an experimental macrare and that, of course, the production speeds could be significantly higher depending on the material used.

bien entendu, l'invention n'est pas limltée à l'exemple de réalisation décrit précédemment mais elle en couvre toutes les variantes réalisées dans le même esprit.of course, the invention is not limited to the embodiment described above, but it covers all the variants produced in the same spirit.
