Description

The invention relates to a lathe device for weaving machines, in particular double rapier weaving machines for edges of double velvet or carpets, comprising
  • at least one needle holder movable in the vertical direction with vertical needles for guiding standing threads,
  • at least one slot holder movable in the vertical direction with oblique slots for guiding leno threads,
  • at least one positioning eye holder movable in the vertical direction with positioning eyes for the leno threads for positioning the leno threads in the slots.

Twisting devices are used in fabrics to position part of the warp threads, the so-called leno threads, once on the right and once on the left of the standing threads. The consequence of this is that the leno threads are twisted or wound around the standing threads, as a result of which corrugated edges are obtained. The devices for performing this operation are quite complex and various attempts have been made to simplify them.

From DE-U1-8 005 822 a leno device of the type mentioned is known, in which on the one hand the standing threads are positioned by the needles and on the other hand the leno threads by combined movement of the positioning eye holder provided with the positioning eyes and that provided with the oblique slots Rotary thread-guiding slot holders can be positioned. This lathe device requires three shedding elements with the associated heald frame, namely a heald frame with the movement 1/1 for the needle holder (standing thread grid), a heald frame with the movement 1/1 for the slit holder and a heald frame with the movement 2/2 for the positioning eye holder . To drive this rotating device, three drive elements of the existing shed device are required, such as a dobby or cam machine. In addition, an independent, angularly synchronous adjustment is not possible on the left and right separately with respect to the main shaft.

From DE-A1-3 134 006 it is known both to fasten the needle holder with the vertical needles to a first heald frame and to movably mount the slot holder on a guide. On a second heald frame, a second slit holder with oblique slits rotated by 90 ° with respect to the first slit holder is fastened, which acts on the first slit holder with a predetermined range of motion, so that during the opposite movement of the two heald frames there is a relative movement of the two slit holders against one another with corresponding different positioning of the leno threads in the slots. On the other hand, the desired displacement of the slot holder relative to the vertical needles is obtained. The construction of this known lathe device is relatively complex and u. U. prone to failure; so the correct function depends u. a. depends on whether a brake spring preventing free sliding of the slot holder along the guide is intact. An independent movement adjustment of the two slot holders is also excluded. This lathe device also requires heald frames, which are then no longer available for the fabric pattern formation. From a further solution (DE-A-2 329 688), it is known to arrange the forks guiding the leno threads on a heald frame so as to be pivotable transversely to the direction of movement of the frame and to derive the pivoting movement from a rod which is arranged parallel to the reed plane and reciprocally moved in the horizontal direction . Finally, for the production of leno fabric (gauze), it is known (CH-A-239 734) to guide both the leno thread and the standing thread in the slots of a common, rotatably mounted slot holder and both the standing thread and the leno thread by means of positioning eyes to position, which are pivotally mounted at different points on the machine frame. A large number of the devices described are arranged next to one another in accordance with the width of the gauze. The problem of saving loom frames and corresponding drive elements that occurs in conventional weaving machines with a turning device for edges of double velvet or carpets does not occur here.

The object of the invention is to provide a lathe device of the type mentioned at the outset, in which the drive is independent of the dobby, which does not require any additional heald frame, and in which the angularly synchronous adjustment - left and right independently of one another - is possible with respect to the main shaft .

This task is solved by
  • that each holder is attached to a linkage pivotally attached to the main frame,
  • that the rods are arranged side by side with common frame-fixed swivel joints,
  • and that the pivoting movement of the linkages are each derived from a rotating cam.

Since each holder is attached to a linkage pivotally attached to the main frame, all heald frames are available for the actual fabric formation. Due to the linkage of the linkage, the needle eyes, the slits and the positioning eyes describe a corresponding arc when they move in the vertical direction, but this does not impair the function. Since the rods are arranged side by side with common frame-fixed swivel joints, there is an extremely simple modular structure, with the preferred possibility of quickly and easily adapting the lathe device to the respective width of the fabric web to be woven by appropriate adjustment of the common swivel joints. The linkage is driven by rotating cams, which can be independent of the existing shed drive. By appropriate coupling of the rotating cams to the main shaft, an exact synchronization of the pivoting movement of the linkage can easily be set, both individually for the individual holder and individually for a turning device on the left or right edge of the fabric.

Further features and advantages of the invention result from the following description of a lathe device designed according to the invention for a weaving machine with reference to the drawing. This shows a perspective view of such a turning device.

In a leno device of a weaving machine, as shown in the figure, the warp threads are divided into standing threads 1 and 2 and into leno threads 3, 4, 5, 6.

The lathe device consists of various parallelograms formed by rods. The bar parallelogram of the standing threads 1 and 2 carries at both ends of a vertical front bar 7 a needle holder 8 and a needle holder 9, wherein upper needles 10 and lower needles 11 are vertically adjustable. The needle holders 8 and 9 are provided with a positioning device 12 and 13, through which the corresponding standing threads 1 and 2 are guided, in order to then be guided along the needles 10 and 11 and the needle tubes 14 and 15 to the weaving reed (not shown) of the weaving machine will. The vertical front bar 7 of the parallelogram assigned to the standing threads is provided with joints 16 and 17 and their axes 18 and 19. The rods 20 and 21 of the corresponding parallelogram can rotate back and forth about these axes 18 and 19. The rear vertical side is formed by a rod 22 having an upper axis 23 and a lower axis 24 about which the corresponding upper associated rod 20 and the corresponding lower adjacent rod 21 can rotate back and forth. This has the consequence that the front side bar 7 can move the standing threads up and down, whereby the needles can be held in a vertical position.

In the same way, the leno threads 3, 4 and 5, 6 are guided through corresponding positioning eyes 25 and 26. Holders 27 and 28 of the positioning eyes 25 and 26 are fastened to the vertical rod 29, which is at the same time the vertical front side of the parallelogram associated with the positioning eyes 25 and 26. This front side has two joints 30 and 31 for the rods 32 and 33, which can also rotate back and forth about the axes 23 and 24, while the rod 22 represents the rear of the parallelogram assigned to the positioning eyes 25, 26.

Likewise, the leno threads 3, 4 and 5, 6 also go through assigned slots 34 and 35, the holders 36 and 37 of which are attached to the outer ends of the vertical rod 38. This rod 38 is the front of the parallelogram associated with the slot holders 36 and 37, which further consists of the rods 38 and 39 and the vertical rod 22 serving as the rear.

The parallelogram linkages are arranged modularly next to each other on hinges connected to the frame and the width can be adjusted to the fabric width to be woven. The position of the needles, slots and eyes can be adjusted with the aid of set screws 50 on vertical pull rods 42.

The lower parallelogram rods 21, 33 and 38 each have an extension piece 40, which carries a joint 41 at its end and is connected by a pull rod 42 and a push lever 43 to a pressure wheel 44, so that by cam plates 45 upon rotation of the cam shaft 46 and the tension springs 47 cause an up and down movement of the vertical front bars, the corresponding needle parallelogram, the slit holder parallelogram and the positioning eye parallelogram.

The angularly synchronous setting is achieved by rotating the cam disks 45 on the cam disk shaft 46. This shaft rotates 1/4 in relation to the main shaft so that the needles 10 and 11 move 1/1, the slots 34, 35 move 1/1 in counter-clockwise motion and the thread positioning eyes 25 and 26 move 2 / 2 run.

The compartment opening of the leno threads can be adjusted by means of adjusting screws 52 at the lower end of the thrust lever 43. The slot holders 36, 37 for the leno threads and the positioning eye holders 27, 28 can be adjusted in height by means of adjusting screws 54 on the vertical rod 38 or 29 of the parallelogram in question.
