Device for gluing drinking straws, which are received in protective sleeves, on at beverage containers, in particular at beverage sachets, with an equipment (20) for the advancing of a drinking straw band drawable off from a rotatably borne supply roller (11), with a cutting station (15) for the severing of the enveloped drinking straws from the drinking straw band (12), with a drinking straw conveying equipment for the positionally correct advancing of the drinking straws singled by severing from the drinking straw band (12) and for the positioning of the same relative to the beverage containers (41 ) in a gluing station (38) as well as with an equipment fo the pressing against the beverage containers (41 ) advanced by a container conveying equipment to the gluing station (38), characterised thereby, that the equipment (20) for the advancing of the drinking straw band (12) is drivable step-by-step in such a manner that a portion, comprising several enveloped drinking straws in predetermined number, of the drinking straw band (12) are introduced into the cutting station (15) during each advancing step, that the cutting station (15) displays a number, which corresponds to the number of the drinking straw of the drinking straw band (12) respectively advanced step-by-step, of blades (48) actuable at equal rate, that the drinking straw conveying equipment possesses a corresponding number of entraining members (32 to 36) each with a respective mounting (42) each for the reception of a respective enveloped drinking straw and as counter- holder during the cutting and for the advancing of the drinking straws severed from the drinking straw band (12), that the container conveying equipment is drivable step-by-step and the beverage containers (41) to be equipped with drinking straws are advanced by means of the container conveying equipment to the gluing station (38) one lying beside the other batch-by-batch in a number corresponding to the number of the drinking straws severed simultaneously from the drinking straw band (12) and that the individual entraining members (32 to 36) of the drinking straw conveying equipment are drivable into ghe gluing station (38) in such a manner while changing their relative spacings that each entraining member (32 to 36) in the final position stands above one of the beverage containers (41 ) advanced in corresponding number.

Device according to claim 1, characterised thereby, that in the case of the processing of a drinking straw band (12) with an adhesive strip extending in longitudinal direction of the band covered by a cover band (16), a drawing-off device (17,18) for the cover band is arranged before the cutting station (15).

Device according to claim 1 or 2, characterised thereby, that the cutting station (15) comprises a blade plate (28), which is movable to and from between a cutting position and a retraced position and on which the separating blades (48) are firmly received and which is arranged below the entraining members (32 to 36) when these stand in the cutting station and serve as counterholders during the cutting, and that the separating blades extend through guides in a holding-on plate (26), which is supported elastically yieldingly by way of spring means (46) against the blade plates, during the cutting moves towards the counterholders then standing in the cutting station and at that time between itself and the entraining members receives the portion of the drinking straw band (12) advanced to the cutting station, while the cutting edges of the blades, which for the remainder stand in a retracted position relative to the surface (30) of the holding-on plate, issue upwardly out of the holding-on plate and sever the individual protective sleeves (24), each with a respective drinking straw, from the drinking straw band.

Device according to claim 3, characterised thereby, that a longitudinal groove, which corresponds in position and width to an adhesive strip mounted on the drinking straw band at the side which during the advancing faces the beverage containers (41) to be equipped with drinking straws, extends in the surface (30) of the holding-on plate (26) in the direction of advance of the drinking straw band (12).

Device according to claim 3 or 4, characterised thereby, that holding means (27), which are actuable independently of the actuation of the separating blades (48), for the seizing and holding of the drinking straw band after this has been advanced to the cutting station, is arranged in the cutting station (15).

Device according to claim 5, characterised thereby, that the holding means for the seizing and holding of the drinking straw band (12) in the cutting station (15) display at least one stylus (27), which is so arranged adjacent one of the separating blades (48), however displaced relative thereto in the direction of advance of the drinking straw band that it shape-lockingly engages between two adjacent protective sleeves (24) of the drinking straw band into the latter in the stopping position.

Device according to claim 6, characterised thereby, that the stylus (27) for the seizing and holding of the drinking straw band (12) advanced into the cutting station (15) is received in guides extending through the blade plate (28) and the holding-on plate (26) and movable by means of an actuating member, possibly a compressed air cylinder (29), mounted at the blade plate, to and fro between a setting, which protrudes beyond the surface (30) of the holding-on plate and engages shape-lockingly into the portion of the drinking straw band advanced to the cutting station, and a position retracted relative thereto.

Device according to one of the claims 1 to 7, characterised thereby, that the equipment for the advancing of the drinking straw band (12) into the cutting station (15) possesses an advancing block (20), which is provided with means (21, 22) for the seizing and holding of the end of the drinking straw band respectively forward in direction of advance and is movable out of an initial setting lying in direction of advance before the first separating blade (48) of the cutting station into a final position above the cutting station and back again.

Device according to claim 8, characterised thereby, that an entraining plate (21), which is guided to be movable about perpendicularly to the direction of advance, is provided as means for the seizing and holding of the end of the drinking straw band respectively forward in direction of advance and is actuable about perpendicularly to the direction of advance of the drinking straw band by means of an actuating organ, possibly an air cylinder (23), on the reception of the drinking straw band in the initial setting of the advancing block and on the transfer of the drinking straw band in the cutting station (15), respectively.

Device according to one of the claims 1 to 9, characterised thereby, that the entraining members (32 to 36) for the advancing and positioning of the drinking straws severed simultaneously from the drinking straw band (12) and the entraining plate (21 ) of the advancing block (20) for the advancing of the drinking straw band to the cutting station are provided with receiving grooves (22, 42), which extend transversely to the direction of advance of the drinking straw band, each for a respective drinking straw.

Device according to one of the claims 1 to 10, characterised thereby, that underpressure air, which by way of nozzle bores in the contact surfaces of the entraining plate and/or of the entraining members engages at the drinking straw band or at the drinking straws severed from the latter, serves as means for the seizing and holding of the drinking draw band (12) at the entraining plate (21 ) and of the severed drinking straws at the entraining members (32 to 36), respectively.

Device according to one of the claims 8 to 11, characterised thereby, that the advancing block (20) for the advancing of the drinking straw band (12) to the cutting station (15) and the entraining members (32 to 36) for the advancing and positioning of the drinking straws severed from the drinking straw band is guided to be movable to and from the gluing station (38) by means of mutually aligned guides and actuated at equal rate in the manner that, during the movement of the entraining members with the drinking straws, which are severed from the drinking straw band and received thereat, into the gluing station, the advancing block moves forward above the separating blades (48) into the cutting station and advances the predetermined number of drinking straws positionally accurately to the cutting station thereagainst in correspondence with the return of the entraining members out of the gluing station into the cutting station gets back again out o the latter into its initial position.

Device according to one of the claims 1 to 11, characterised thereby, that the entraining members (32 to 36), which in the cutting station (15) each receive a respective drinking straw severed from the drinking straw band are so guided and driven by way of the conveying equipment for the advancing of a predetermined number of beverage containers that the positionally correct positioning of the entraining members over the beverage containers standing in the gluing station takes place in that these entraining members move against abutments arranged positionally accurately at spacings one from the other and, after the gluing of the protective sleeves onto the beverage containers, are guided out of the gluing station back into the cutting position, in which these entraining members stand in directly adjacent positions above the holding-on plate (26) of the cutting station.
14. Device according to one of the claims 1 to 13, characterised thereby, that the entraining members (32 to 36) for the advancing of the drinking straws to the gluing station (38) are guided by means of fixed longitudinal guides and that the beverage containers (41), advanced batch-by-batch, are received in the gluing station by a lifting equipment for the raising of the beverage containers and their pressing against the entraining member equipped at the underside with drinking straws.
