Description

The invention relates to a paper sack or paper bag with an attached plastic handle, which consists of two parts lying on opposite sides, which are connected via areas which penetrate through openings of the paper sack or paper bag.

In a known paper bag or paper bag of this type (FR-A-1 175 934), closure strips with downwardly projecting gripping eyes are injection molded together onto the paper bag in a technically very complex process. The known method is not only technically extremely complex, but also very time-consuming. It takes such a long time for the injection molding tools to be lifted off the sealed paper bag after the plastic mass has cooled sufficiently in the known methods, so that this method is completely unsuitable for the fully automatic packaging customary today. In addition, the known method requires an additional processing step on the paper bag. It initially creates only a handle frame that cannot form a handle in itself, but must first be developed into a handle opening by cutting the paper area within the frame.

Finally, the known solution is also complex because the space required for the grip area on the filling volume of the paper bag or paper bag is lost.

A clamping strip for closing garment bags is also known (FR-A-2 292 637). In this known solution, the sealing strip serves only to hold the open ends of a wrapping, for example a garment bag, together. The clip strip has no handles and is also not suitable for holding the considerable weight of a filled paper bag. In known paper bags or paper bags, it is also known to attach plastic handles after filling in a complex manner by sewing or gluing.

Based on this prior art, the invention has for its object to provide a solution in which the plastic handle is designed as a locking device that can be quickly and securely connected to the paper bag or paper bag. It should be possible to close the paper bag or paper bag independently of the design of the edge to be closed and to open the filled paper bag or paper bag comparatively easily.

This object is achieved according to the invention in that the plastic handle consists of two parts (1 and 2) which can be joined together and which overlap the open edge of the bag from different sides, with pins being provided on one part which engage in corresponding receiving openings in the opposite part and these pins and receiving openings are arranged along a straight line parallel to the open sack edge area, the pins and receiving openings being located on strip-shaped clamping areas, to which grip loop areas are formed.

The plastic handle according to the invention allows the filled paper bag or paper bag to be closed quickly and easily. It can be used to great advantage, particularly in automatic bag filling systems. It allows the filling opening to be sealed tightly using technically simple means.

Further advantageous embodiments of the invention are described in the further subclaims.

A preferred embodiment of the invention is described in detail below with reference to the drawing. Show it:
  • FIG. 1 - a view of a sack edge with a plastic handle,
  • FIG. 2 - the view according to FIG. 1 with the tear-open area removed,
  • FIG. 3 shows a view of the two handle parts connected via a film hinge in the unfolded state,
  • FIG. 4 - an end view of the two handle parts,
  • FIG. 5 shows a perspective view of the two handle parts in the flat state,
  • Figure 6 - a section along plane VI - VI in Figure 1.

The plastic handle is denoted overall by 100 and consists of two parts 1 and 2 which can be joined together and which are connected to one another via a connection point 25 designed in the manner of a film hinge.

In the area on the left according to FIG. 1, grip loop areas 9 and 10 are molded onto strip-shaped clamping areas 7 and 8. In the right area according to FIG. 1, a tear-open loop 14 is connected to the handle loop areas 9 and 10 via a predetermined breaking point 11. The tear-open loop 14 is formed on underlying strip-shaped clamping areas 7b and 8b, which are connected to the neighboring strip-shaped clamping areas via predetermined breaking points 12.

Pins 3 and 4 are located at the clamping areas and penetrate the folded edge of the bag and dip into the opposite receiving openings. In the clamped position, the pins are welded to the opposite grip areas.

In the left terminal strip area according to FIG. 1, the distance between the pins 3 and the associated receiving openings 5 is greater than in the right tear-off area between the pins 4 and the associated receiving openings 6.

3 verlaufenden Geraden. Diese Anordnung verbessert die Einreiß- und Abreißmöglichkeit des Aufreißbereichs 13 mit Hilfe der Aufreißschlaufe 14.A pin 4a next to the predetermined breaking point 12 lies just like the associated one Receiving opening 6a on a straight line perpendicular to the connecting line of the adjacent pins 4 or 3. This arrangement improves the possibility of tearing and tearing off the tear-open area 13 with the aid of the tear-open loop 14.

Figure 6 shows how the handle is assembled. Before the area carrying the pins is folded down and connected to the opposite area in the manner shown, the folded edge of the bag is pierced at a distance from the pins and pin holes. Then the pins can simply be pushed through and then welded to the opposite part.

The paper sack is designated by the reference symbol 50, and the sack edge region by 51. The pinched sack edge area is folded between the two parts of the handle.

In the embodiment of the plastic handle shown in Figure 3, the contour of the tear loops is designed differently than in the other representations. The difference lies in the two lugs 14a and 14b shown. These tabs 14a and 14b are at a different distance from the center line formed by the film hinge 25. The tabs 14a and 14b can be used to re-use the tear-open loop for provisional closure after the tear-open. For this purpose, the two loop halves are separated along the film hinge area 25, if a film hinge is provided in this area at all. Then the two loop halves are pulled apart and pushed over the folded-over sack opening area. Thereafter, the lugs 14a and 14b are pressed so tightly against one another that they clamply hold the paper bag region in between. The nose formation shown only in Figure 3 can of course also be provided in all other possible embodiments.
