Abstract

A spraying device, particularly a brush-like apparatus for the cleaning and/or massage of the body, particularly a tooth-brush (1) with at least one nozzle body (10'), may be coupled to a hollow handle connectable by a pipe to a water tap. The nozzle body (10') is preferably provided as a fluid oscillator free of moving parts. The hollow handle may receive inside a metering capsule a hardly water soluble active agent rod. To this effect, the handle comprises a removable oblong cap of which the front end may be coupled in such a way that it prevents the torsion with a tube (5) at the cleaning brush. The cap is further provided with a hand-actuable water stop member which may be displaced in an open position by hand in the direction opposite to a spring force and/or to the antagonist water pressure. The water stop member is conveniently a multistage slide valve piston (58) with conical terminal portion (72). The bristles (4) of the body cleaning apparatus are appropriately arranged on a bristle plate (3) which is secured to a bristle fixing portion (2) that may be readily changed by means of a snap connection, the bristle plate (3) and the bristle fixing portion (2) forming together with the tube (5) and a well-like recess receiving the nozzle body (10') the tooth-brush (1), for example.

Figur 1 zeigt einen teilweisen Längsschnitt durch die erfindungsgemäße Zahnbürste 1 aus einem Borstenträgerteil 2 und einer auswechselbaren Borstenplatte 3 mit in herkömmlicher Weise eingeschossenen Borstenbüscheln 4.FIG. 1 shows a partial longitudinal section through the toothbrush 1 according to the invention comprising a bristle holder part 2 and an exchangeable bristle plate 3 with bristle tufts 4 shot in in a conventional manner.

The bristle carrier part 2 is in one piece with a short tube 5, the coupling end 6 of which can be coupled with the handle shown in FIG. 9. For this purpose, the coupling end 6 has a groove 6 'which engages in a coupling ring to be described in the handle, which is described in more detail below. On the coupling end 6, an annular body 7 is firmly attached, which facilitates the attachment of the toothbrush 1 to the handle and the removal of the toothbrush 1 from the handle by hand. For the rotationally secure coupling of the toothbrush 1 with the handle, the ring body 7 has a cylindrical inner ring section 8 which has two flattened coupling surfaces 9 on opposite outer sides, only one of which is visible in FIG. 1. These surface sections act as a turnstile tion with corresponding coupling surfaces in the handle described below.

The bristle carrier part 2 has in its front area a shaft-like recess 10 with a rectangular inner cross section for inserting a nozzle body 10 '. The recess 10 is delimited by longitudinal walls 11 and 12, parallel to the longitudinal axis of the bristle carrier part 2, and parallel transverse walls 13 and 14. The walls 11 to 14 form a tower-like elevation 15 which is in one piece with the half-shell-shaped bottom 16 of the bristle carrier part 2 and which extends from the bottom 16 vertically upwards substantially beyond the flat, circumferential edge 17.

Dabei liegt die Vorderseite 19 der Borstenplatte 3 im wesentlichen in einer Ebene mit der äußeren Stirnfläche 20 der Schulter 18.The bristle carrier part 2 has at its rear end a shoulder 18 projecting vertically upwards beyond the edge 17, on which the rear end of the bristle plate 3 is supported. The front side 19 of the bristle plate 3 lies essentially in one plane with the outer end face 20 of the shoulder 18.

Die äußeren Stirnflächen 26 der Erhebung liegen dabei im wesentlichen in einer Ebene mit der Vorderseite 19 der Borstenplatte 3.The bristle plate 3 has a rectangular opening 21 in its front area, which is delimited by longitudinal sides 22, 23 parallel to the longitudinal axis of the bristle plate 3 and parallel transverse sides 24, 25. The tower-like elevation 15 engages in the opening 21 in the bristle plate 3. The outer end faces 26 of the elevation lie essentially in one plane with the front 19 of the bristle plate 3.

In Fig. 2 only the bristle carrier part 2 of FIG. 1 is shown in longitudinal section. The sectional view in FIG. 2 is shown somewhat enlarged compared to the sectional view in FIG. 1. In addition, the ring body 7 is withdrawn from the coupling end 6 of the tube 5 on the bristle carrier part 2. This makes it clear that the ring body 7 is supported on a ring shoulder 27.

The wall of the tube 5 encloses a first cylindrical channel section 28 which extends approximately into the region of the shoulder 18 of the bristle carrier part. A second channel section 29 adjoins the first channel section 28 and tapers conically towards the recess 10. The second channel section 29 is narrowed by an inclined surface 30 to a relatively short third channel section 31, which has a rectangular cross section and which opens into the shaft-like recess 10. The third channel section 31, as shown in FIG. 4, is important in terms of fluid flow for the operation of the nozzle body 10 ′, which is firmly inserted into the recess 10, as shown in FIG. 1.

Vorteilhafterweise handelt es dabei um einen fluidischen Oszillator, der sich trotz hohen Durchflusses durch seine besonders kurze axiale Baulänge auszeichnet, die wesentlich kürzer ist, als der von seiner Kanalkonfiguration her ähnlich bekannte fluidische Oszillator nach der US-A-4231 519.Advantageously, this is a fluidic oscillator which, despite the high flow rate, is distinguished by its particularly short axial length, which is considerably shorter than the fluidic oscillator of US Pat. No. 4,231,519, which is similarly known in terms of its channel configuration.

The particularly short overall length of the oscillator is essentially achieved in that the main nozzle with the subsequent interaction chamber and the outlet opening of the oscillator configuration from first recesses 33 in one functional side of the rectangular oscillator structure 34 and the return duct from second channel-like recesses 35 in the there are parallel opposite other functional side of the oscillator structure 34 and that the channel-like recesses 35 through the OsziHator structure 34 penetrating holes or openings not visible here are connected to the recesses 33.

The nozzle body 10 'is inserted into the recess 10 of the tower-like elevation 15 such that an essentially rectangular inflow section 36 upstream of the main nozzle of the oscillator body 34 is exactly opposite the rectangular outlet opening of the third channel section 31.

Advantageously, the rectangular cross section of the third channel section 31 is particularly well adapted in size to the rectangular cross section of the inflow section 36 of the oscillator body 34, it being remarkable that the boundary edges of the inflow cross section 36 do not essentially protrude into the outlet opening of the third channel section 31. In order to obtain the lowest possible overall height of the toothbrush 1, the tower-like elevation 15 with the nozzle body 10 'can protrude somewhat from the front 19 of the brush plate 3. It is then expedient to round off the projecting, outer edges on the front end face 26 of the elevation 15.

The inner dimensions of the shaft-shaped recess 10 and the outer dimensions of the nozzle body 10 'are chosen such that the opposite functional sides with their recesses 33 and 35 on both sides lie flush against the inside 37 and 38 of the transverse walls 13 and 14 of the tower-like elevation 15. Above all, the transverse walls 13, 14 of the elevation 15, which are subjected to pressure, must have a minimum thickness, which can also be achieved in that the transverse walls are curved on the outside, in contrast to the illustration in FIG. 3, such as the dashed lines 40 'and 41 'hint. A surface-tight connection of the nozzle body 10 'with its two opposite, parallel functional sides to the parallel inner sides 37 and 38 of the transverse walls 13, 14 is achieved in that the functional sides bear against the inner sides 37 and 38 under a certain prestress. It is important that both the functional sides of the nozzle body 10 'and the inner sides 37, 38 of the transverse walls 13, 14 lie plane-parallel to one another and have a largely smooth surface.

Die turmartige Erhebung 15 schließt an einen tunnelartigen Rohrmantel 39 an, der den konischen Kanalabschnitt 29 (Fig. 2) umschließt.3, 4 and 5 illustrate the half-shell shape of the bristle carrier part 2. The bristle plate 3 is supported on its circumferential flat edge 17. The tower-like elevation 15 adjoins a tunnel-like tubular jacket 39, which conical channel section 29 (Fig. 2) encloses.

Die Quer- und Längsseiten 22, 23 und 24, 25 schließen im wesentlichen spielfrei an die Außenseiten der Wände 11, 12 und 13, 14 der Erhebung 15 an.1 to 3 it is shown that the outer sides 40, 41 of the transverse walls 13 and 14 run obliquely, so that the thicknesses of the transverse walls 13 and 14 increase towards the bottom of the recess 10. Accordingly, the opposite transverse sides 24 and 25 of the opening 21 in the bristle plate 3 run obliquely to one another, as shown in FIGS. 1 and 6. The transverse and longitudinal sides 22, 23 and 24, 25 adjoin the outer sides of the walls 11, 12 and 13, 14 of the elevation 15 essentially without play.

For easy replacement of the bristle plate 3 from the bristle carrier part 2 there is a semicircular projection 42 at the rear end of the bristle plate 3, which projection forms a hinged joint which engages in a corresponding semicircular recess 43 which forms a bearing for the joint. For clamping the bristle plate 3 to the bristle carrier part 2 there are knob-like projections 44, 45 on the parallel longitudinal sides 22 and 23, which elastically snap into corresponding recesses 46, 47 on the parallel outer sides of the longitudinal walls 11, 12 of the tower-like elevation 15.

To replace a bristle plate 3 from a bristle carrier plate 2, a narrow knife-like object is pressed into the gap on the front end face of the toothbrush between the bristle carrier plate 2 and the bristle plate 3, as a result of which the knob-like projections 44, 45 on the longitudinal sides 22, 23 of the opening 21 extend out the recesses 46, 47. jump out. Here, the bristle plate 3 pivots about the bearing 43 in the shoulder 18 until the tower-like elevation 15 releases the bristle plate 3. The bristle plate 3 is thus held on the one hand by the articulated projection 42 engaging in the recess 43 and on the other hand by the projections 44, 45 which engage in the recesses 46, 47 on the bristle plate in the manner of a snap connection.

For the largely tight connection of the bristle plate 3 to the hollow interior of the half-shell-shaped bristle carrier part 2, a groove can be present in the peripheral edge 17, into which a projecting edge engages on the rear side of the bristle plate 3 or vice versa.

The distance of the recess 43 from the tower-like elevation 15 of the bristle carrier part 2 or the distance of the projection 42 from the opening 21 in the bristle plate 3 determine the pivoting radius with which the opening 21 swings in via the elevation 15 when the bristle plate 3 touches the bristle carrier part 2 is pressed.

As a result, the angles of the inclined outer sides 40, 41 of the transverse walls 13, 14 of the elevation 15 and the corresponding inclined transverse sides 24, 25 of the opening 21 of the bristle plate 3 are determined, so that the outer sides 40, 41 are largely free of play on the transverse sides 24, 25 connect.

Eine ähnliche Dosierhülse für schwerlösliche Mundwasserstäbchen ist durch die DE-A-3 147 264 bekannt.9 to 12, the handle 50 according to the invention is shown, which consists of an elongated tubular body 51 which is connected at its rear end 52 to a hose 52 ', the free end of which with a coupling plug 52 "for coupling with a known adapter Such an adapter is shown in DE-A-26 34 721. The free interior 53 of the tubular body 51 is sufficiently wide to accommodate a metering sleeve 54 perforated by holes 56. The metering sleeve takes a sparingly water-soluble mouthwash stick 54 Because of the flowing water flow in the annular gap 55 between the dosing sleeve 54 and the inner wall of the tubular body 51, the mouthwash stick 54 'is slowly dissolved so that a certain amount of solution is continuously released to the flowing water flow for poorly soluble mouthwash sticks is known from DE-A-3 147 264.

Die Kappe 60 bildet zusammen mit dem Rohrkörper 51 den kompletten Handgriff 50.At the front, open end of the tubular body 51 of the handle 50 there is an internal thread 57 into which the external thread 58 engages at the rear end 59 of an elongated cover or cap 60, which serves to close off the tubular body 51. The cap 60 forms the complete handle 50 together with the tubular body 51.

The cap 60 according to the invention is penetrated by a central water connection channel 62 which connects in the front end 61 of the cap to a channel extension 63 which receives a sleeve 64. The sleeve 64 has a circumferential inner groove 65 for receiving an O-ring which engages in the groove 6 'when the coupling end 6 of the toothbrush 1 is inserted. The toothbrush 1 is hereby connected to the cap 60 or the handle 50 in a watertight manner. To prevent the toothbrush 1 inserted into the cap 60 from rotating, the front end of the cylindrical channel extension 63 has, on radially opposite cylinder wall sections, radially inwardly projecting flat coupling surfaces 66 which are parallel to one another and of which only one is visible in FIG. 9. In the correct coupling position of the toothbrush 1 on the handle 50, the flat coupling surfaces 66 lie opposite the flat coupling surfaces 9 on the ring body 7 of the toothbrush 1 with little play. Between the two ends 59 and 61 of the cap 60 there is an opening 67 which runs transversely to the longitudinal axis of the cap and which crosses the water connection channel 62. The opening 67 serves to receive a valve-like slide body 68, which consists of two cylinder body sections 69 and 70, which have different diameters. Between the two cylinder body sections 69 and 70 there is a stepped center section 71 with a conical ring seal 72. On the end face 69 "of the larger cylinder body section 69, a spring 73 is supported, which presses against the inner bottom of a cover 73 'which pushes the opening 67 outwards covers.

The stepped outer end 74 of the cylinder body section 70 with the smaller diameter protrudes somewhat from the opening 67. The stepped end 74 of the cylinder body section 70 firmly engages in a central recess 75 of a push button 79, which has an outer cylindrical guide section 76 for displacing the slide body 68, which is displaceably guided in a radial ring recess 77 of the cap 60, which is coaxial with the opening 67 lies.

Corresponding to the three-part shape of the slide body 68, the opening 67 has a narrower cylinder wall section 70 'for guiding the smaller cylinder body section 70 and a further cylindrical wall section 69' for guiding the further cylinder body section 69. Between the two cylindrical sections 69 'and 70', the opening 67 has a conical wall section 72 'which penetrates the central water connection channel 62 and forms an annular valve seat.

In the shut-off position of the slide body 68, the conical ring seal 72 is pressed by the spring 73 against the central conical wall section 72 ', whereby the central water connection channel 62 to the toothbrush 1 is shut off. In this case, the cylinder body section 70 with a smaller cross section protrudes at most from the narrower cylinder wall section 70 ′ of the opening 67. Pressing the push button 79 pushes the slide body 68 against the force of the spring 73 more or less out of its shut-off position, whereby an annular gap is released through which the water connection channel 62 is connected. The released upon actuation of the slide valve annular gap is the further, the stronger the force acting on the push button is, so that the z. B. released to the toothbrush amount of water depends on the force with which the push button 79 is pressed by hand against the cap 60.

The further and the narrower cylinder body sections 69 and 70 of the slide body 68 each have a sealing ring 80 or 80 'in a first embodiment according to the invention. The sealing ring 80 lies in an encircling annular groove, while the sealing ring 80 'lies between an annular shoulder 74' at the end of the cylinder body section 70 and the front end face of the annular wall 79 'which delimits the central recess 75 of the push button 79 and which with little play lies in the section 70 'engages the opening 67.

At the rear end 59 of the cap 60, a lid-like sieve body 81 is held, which covers the central water connection channel 62. The peripheral edge of the screen body 81 is pressed into a central ring recess 82 at the rear end of the cap 60. The sieve body 81 is supported on the end face of the cylinder wall 83 comprising the channel 62 and the ends of two radial web walls 84 and 85 which intersect at right angles and which stiffen the central annular recess 82 (FIGS. 10 and 11).

The resetting of the slide body 68 into its sealed shut-off position is ensured according to the exemplary embodiment described above solely by the force of the spring 73, which must therefore be designed to be relatively strong. The cylinder space in which the spring 73 is accommodated is constantly vented via a groove 86 in the cover 73 '.

According to a modified embodiment according to the invention, the vent 86 to the outside can also be dispensed with. A flat cover 73 'then closes off the opening 67 in a fluid-tight manner from the outside. Instead, the outer end face 69 "of the larger cylinder body section 69 is connected to the tubular body 51 of the handle 50 via at least one dashed opening 87 (FIG. 10) in the radial partition 88 between the opening 67 and the central annular recess 82, so that the The slide body 68 is acted upon by the water pressure from the handle in the shut-off direction.

The spring 73 can be omitted entirely or it can be made relatively weak. The spring 73 then only has the task of holding the slide body 68 in its shut-off position even when there is no water pressure and the push button 79 is not actuated.

70 unterstützt in vorteilhafterweise die Öffnungsbewegung des Schieberkörpers 68.Depending on the difference between the effective surface cross sections on the slide body 68, a certain closing pressure is exerted on the slide body 68 by the water pressure, which ensures that when the push button 79 is released, the slide body 68 is switched back into its blocking position. The effective area difference between the larger and the smaller cylinder body sections 69 and 70 advantageously supports the opening movement of the slide body 68.

The cap 60 as well as the tubular body 51 of the handle 50 are preferably made of plastic. For this purpose, it is advantageous to provide the ring recesses 77 and 82 already described above. The radial ring recess 77 extends up to close to the central water connection channel 62. In addition, a further radial ring recess 77 'is provided coaxially with the opening 67. The further ring recess 77 'is opposite to the ring recess 77 and also extends to close to the water connection channel 62. When using the further embodiment according to the invention, in which the slide body 68 is loaded by the water pressure in the closed position, the openings 87 connect in the radial partition 88 the axial ring recess 82 with the radial ring recess 77 '.

In this case, since the flat cover 73 'only lies tightly on the outer edge 89 of the ring recess 77', the ring recess 77 'is connected to the opening 67 via the recessed inner edge 90 (FIG. 10).

It is clear that the invention is not limited to that Toothbrush 1 is limited to the handle 50. On the basis of the disclosed teaching of the invention, the person skilled in the art is readily able to use different brush-like body cleansing or body massage devices, e.g. B. to provide a facial cleansing device in which the handle with a brush and at least one nozzle are combined in one device that in principle has a similar water stop as the handle 50 described above be acted upon by the water pressure in the closing direction.

It is also clear that the slide body 68 can also be replaced by different types of stepped pistons.

Finally, the invention is not limited to brush-type personal care devices. It can e.g. B. also around shaving brushes, car wash brushes or other brushes that can be used in the household or also any spray devices, eg. B. garden sprinklers, each of which can be connected to a source of pressurized water in a handle via a manually operable valve.
