Description

Schaftmaterial anliegen. The invention relates to an overlock sewing machine for sewing insoles to shoe uppers with two driven transport plates, each of which abuts the insole or shaft material.

Such overlock sewing machines are used in the manufacture of reversible shoes. This results in particular difficulties when sewing along the heel curve of the insole and the shoe upper, because due to the relatively small radius of curvature of the arch, along which sewing has to be carried out, and the thickness of the insole and upper material located between the two intermittently driven transport plates, the distances covered along which the one or the other transport plate has to roll can be so different. that the material is warped and / or wedged with the transport plates.

Although overlock sewing machines are known (DE-A-1804370), in which the two transport plates can be driven with different stride lengths, and it is also known to use such overlock sewing machines in the manufacture of reversible shoes, it is difficult to accurately determine the mutual relationship of these stride lengths to be set as required when sewing an insole to a shoe upper to achieve perfect sewing material transport along the heel curve of the insole and the shoe upper.

The invention has for its object to provide an overlock sewing machine of the type specified at the outset, in which the difficulties described are eliminated in a simple manner and which provide trouble-free sewing even along narrow arches with a relatively small radius of curvature, in particular along the heel curve of the insole and the shoe upper, enables.

This object is achieved by the measure specified in the characterizing part of patent claim 1. Advantageous embodiments of the overlock sewing machine according to the invention are specified in the remaining patent claims.

In the overlock sewing machine according to the invention, during the sewing of an insole to a shoe upper shortly before reaching the heel curve of the insole and the shoe upper, the clutch is disengaged, which is preferably provided to interrupt the drive of the outer transport plate adjacent to the inner sole material, so that then only the Shaft material adjacent inner transport plate is driven step by step and the outer transport plate drives idle, which is movable with respect to the inner transport plate and spring-loaded thereon and can be moved away from the inner transport plate against the effect of the spring load, as required for inserting the material into the overlock sewing machine. In this way, any warping of the sewing material and any wedging of the sewing material with the transport plates is reliably prevented.

If the invention also relates primarily to an overlock sewing machine for sewing insoles to shoe uppers, it can also be implemented in other overcast sewing machines with two driven transport plates for the sewing material, in which sewing has to be carried out along narrow arches with a relatively small radius of curvature and then the difficulties described can occur.

An embodiment of the overlock sewing machine according to the invention is described below with reference to a drawing, for example, the only figure of which schematically represents the two transport plates thereof and their drive mechanisms.

The Überwendlichnähmschine not shown in detail for sewing insoles to shoe uppers works like this and, including a housing 1 and two driven transport plates 2 and 3 for the material to be sewn, is constructed as usual, apart from the drive mechanism for the outer transport plate 3, which when sewing on the insole material abuts, the two transport plates 2 and 3 being driven in opposite directions in order to transport the sewing material perpendicular to the plane of the drawing.

The inner transport plate 2 is rotatably mounted about a vertical axis 4 in the housing 1 of the overlock sewing machine and is connected by an endless toothed belt 5 to a vertical shaft 6, likewise rotatably mounted in the housing 1, for driving the inner transport plate 2. The toothed belt 5 wraps around a toothed wheel 7 on the shaft 6 and a toothed ring 8 on the inner transport plate 2.

The outer transport plate 3 is also rotatably mounted about a vertical axis 9 and lies in the same horizontal plane as the inner transport plate 2, in which it can be moved with respect to the latter in the direction of the double arrow 10, namely under the action of a spring load on the inner transport plate 2 to and against the action of the spring load away from the inner transport plate 2 in order to clamp and hold the sewing material between the two transport plates 2 and 3 or to vent the outer transport plate 3 from the inner transport plate 2, as required for inserting the sewing material into the overlock sewing machine.

The outer transport plate 3 is attached to the lower end of a vertical shaft 11 which is rotatably mounted in a sleeve 12 of a support arm 13 for the outer transport plate 3 and has a bevel gear 14 at the upper end. The support arm 13 is movably mounted in the housing 1 of the overlock sewing machine in the direction of the double arrow 10. The bevel gear 14 meshes with a bevel gear 15 which is attached to the adjacent end of a variable-length telescopic shaft 16 which extends in the direction of movement of the outer transport plate 3, that is to say parallel to the double arrow 10, and is provided with a further bevel gear 17 at the other end. The telescopic shaft 16 consists of two mutually coaxial shaft pieces 18 and 19, which are each provided with one bevel gear 15 and the other bevel gear 17 and are rotatably mounted in the support arm 13 or in the housing 1 and are connected to one another in a form-fitting manner at the two adjacent ends are that the shaft piece 18 of the support arm 13 can move accordingly with respect to the other shaft piece 19 when the outer transport plate 3 or the support arm 13 moves in the direction of the double arrow 10 without the rotary connection between the two shaft pieces 18 and 19 being interrupted .

With the bevel gear 17 of the telescopic shaft 16 or the shaft piece 19 of the same meshes a bevel gear 20, which is attached to the adjacent end of a vertical shaft 21 rotatably mounted in the housing 1 of the overlock sewing machine, which in conjunction with a further vertical shaft 22 for driving the serves outer transport plate 3, which is also rotatably mounted in the housing 1. The two shafts 21 and 22 are arranged coaxially to one another, and a coupling 23 is provided between them, which can be actuated by means of a double-acting pneumatic actuating cylinder 24 attached to the housing 1.

The clutch 23 is designed as a clamping or friction clutch and has two mutually longitudinally movable sleeves 25 and 26. One sleeve 25 is axially displaceable on the one vertical shaft 21, but arranged in a rotationally fixed manner, for example with the aid of a tongue and groove connection, and adjustable on the shaft 21 by means of the actuating cylinder 24 via a pivoting lever 27 which is attached to the housing 1 of the overlock sewing machine a horizontal axis 28 which is perpendicular to the shaft 21 is pivotably mounted and engages with a fork-shaped end 29 in an annular groove 30 of the sleeve 25 via two rollers provided thereon. The other sleeve 26 is fixed on the adjacent end of the other vertical shaft 22 and provided with an inner friction ring 31 which is fixedly connected to the sleeve 26.

The two sleeves 25 and 26 are each provided with a conical contact surface 32 and 33, which tapers in the direction from the axially displaceable sleeve 25 to the axially fixed sleeve 26. The contact surface 32 of the axially displaceable sleeve 25 is provided on the outside on a cylindrical extension 34 thereof, the contact surface 33 of the axially fixed sleeve 26 on the inside on the friction ring 31 thereof. With the cylindrical extension 34, the axially displaceable sleeve 25 protrudes into the friction ring 31 of the axially fixed sleeve 26, so that the two conical bearing surfaces 32 and 33 of the two sleeves 25 and 26, which are designed corresponding to one another, lie opposite one another.

When the overlock sewing machine sews, the two mutually parallel shafts 6 and 22 are driven, each intermittently. One shaft 6 rotates the inner transport plate 2 via the toothed belt 5 and the other shaft 22 the outer transport plate 3 via the vertical shaft 21, the telescopic shaft 16 and the hanging shaft 11 of the outer transport plate 3 accordingly when the clutch 23 is closed or is indented. If the drive of the outer transport plate 3 is to be interrupted during sewing, so that only the inner transport plate 2 is driven step by step and the outer transport plate 3 rotates without drive, then the actuating cylinder 24 is actuated to open or disengage the clutch 23 and the pivoting lever 27 about the axis -28 to pivot counterclockwise so that the axially displaceable sleeve 25 on the associated vertical shaft 21 runs away from the other sleeve 26 on the other vertical shaft 22 and the two sleeves 25 and 26 come out of engagement with each other, that is lift the two conical contact surfaces 32 and 33 apart, as shown. Said actuation of the actuating cylinder 24 can be carried out by means of a valve and a pedal, which is connected to the valve via a linkage and, when the operator of the overlock sewing machine is depressed, causes the double-acting pneumatic actuating cylinder 24 to be pressurized accordingly via the valve, which otherwise otherwise uses compressed air is applied that he presses the two sleeves 25 and 26 together and holds them in mutual engagement.

If, when sewing an insole to a shoe upper to produce a reversible shoe, the seam on one side of the insole and the shoe upper begins and the inner sole material is sewn with the upper material towards, along, and away from the shoe tip, then the coupling 23 meanwhile closed or engaged and the two transport plates 2 and 3 are driven synchronously with approximately the same step length on the circumference intermittently, apart from sewing along the tip of the shoe, the inner transport plate 2 lying against the shaft material having a step length on the circumference that is a certain amount larger than that the outer transport plate 3 lying against the insole material is driven intermittently in order to gather the upper material, in which there is an excess width in this area. Shortly before reaching the heel curve of the insole and the shoe upper, the clutch 23 is opened or disengaged and held in this state until the insole material and the Shaft material along the heel curve of the insole and the shoe upper are sewn together, so that any warping of the sewing material and any jamming of the sewing material and the transport plates 2 and 3 are excluded. The clutch 23 is then closed or engaged again in order to drive both transport plates 2 and 3 again step by step during the remaining part of the sewing process if the seam connecting the insole to the shoe upper has not started at the relevant end of the heel curve of the insole and the shoe upper .
