Definitions
- the invention relates to a small transformer according to the preamble of claim 1; such a transformer is known from DE-GM 71 05 903.
- the primary winding is separated from the secondary winding lying adjacent in the axial direction of the transformer core by an electrically insulating dividing wall is angled in the axial direction on its outer edge and is correspondingly axially extended to achieve the required air and creepage distances.
- the partition is either a deep-drawn insulating film inserted between the flanges of the bobbins of the primary and secondary windings, with an extended one in the axial direction of the coils. current approach provided or the end flange of the primary winding itself is used as a partition and provided with an axially directed approach molded to the circumferential approach of the thermoformed insulating film.
- a safe static protective shielding between the primary and secondary sides of the small transformer can also be ensured with little manufacturing and assembly effort and with a small installation size.
- Such protective shielding is required, for example, in the case of transformers for devices in consumer electronics or in medicine.
- a transformer with a concentric arrangement of primary and secondary windings is usually used for this and a metal shield is inserted between the concentric windings for mutual shielding and covers at least the full width of one of the two adjacent windings. With additional insulation barriers, the necessary clearances and air and creepage distances between the metal shield and windings must be guaranteed.
- the construction of the invention allows in manufacturing and assembly technology, low-complexity manner a two-chamber transformer whose bobbin are primary and secondary sides independently of each other can be wound, and wherein when plugging dü 3 getennten coil body on the transformer core by simply interposing the metal film frame a shielded compared to transformers with concentric coils much better damping of high-frequency interference voltages can be achieved.
- the interference voltage is attenuated by 20 dB more than a comparable shielded concentric winding.
- the metal foil frame is interrupted by a slot.
- the one adjacent end flange of the one bobbin is provided on its outer edge with a collar axially overlapping the adjacent end flange of the other bobbin and the metal foil frame is inserted into the end flange pot formed by the end flange and collar; this ensures, on the one hand, a simple plug-in technique for the two coil formers to be installed one behind the other with increased clearance and creepage distance due to the collar design, and, on the other hand, a secure fixing of the metal foil frame which can be achieved in one operation.
- the metal foil frame is provided with a corresponding oversize at least over a part of its outer edge, then when the two bobbins are inserted into one another as described above, the edge part of the metal foil frame which has just been punched can be bent at the same time in such a way that it is connected to the outside with a connecting part from the assembled bobbins protrudes and is accessible for a solder connection of an outer protective conductor.
- An undesired contact of the metal foil frame with the transformer core can be prevented in a simple manner in the inventive design of an isolating transformer by providing the two adjacent end flanges of the coil formers with circumferential, axially directed formations on their inner edges, which interlock when the coil formers are mounted and which Reach under the central opening of the metal foil frame; at the same time, these projections can be used in an advantageous manner for aligning the two bobbins of the two-chamber transformer which are connected one behind the other.
- FIGS. 1 and 2 show the bobbins 1 and 2 arranged one behind the other in the coil axis A, but not yet put together in their final assembly position, for a primary winding to be applied to the bobbin 1 and a user-side secondary winding to be applied to the bobbin 2 with between the two bobbins 1 , 2 arranged metal foil frame 3.
- Each coil body consists at least of a hollow body 11 or 21, which encloses the transformer core (not shown here) on the inside, onto which the primary winding or secondary winding (also not shown here) is wound, and radially projecting end flanges 12, 13 and 22, 23 for frontal limitation of the primary and secondary winding spaces.
- the right end flange of the coil body 1 is provided on its outer edge with an axially directed to the adjacent end flange 23 of the coil body 2 collar 131, so that an end flange pot is formed from the actual end flange 13 and the molded collar 131.
- the adjacent end flange 23 of the bobbin 2 is shaped and dimensioned in its radial extent that it can be inserted in a form-fitting manner in the end flange pot 13, 131 of the bobbin 1.
- the metal foil frame 3 is provided with such an oversize that a corresponding edge part is bent over when the coil formers 1, 2 are plugged together in the form of an externally accessible connecting part 35 and with a soldering tab connection 37 provided for a ground connection from the assembled coil formers 1, 2 protrudes.
- the metal foil frame 3 shown in FIG. 3 in an end view from the front consists of four legs 31, 32, 33, 34 which enclose a central opening 38 corresponding to the hollow body 11 or 21 of the coil body 1, 2.
- the metal foil frame 3 is interrupted by a slot 36 between the leg 34 and the leg 31, so that the metal foil frame 3 cannot form a self-contained short-circuit winding, which could lead to the undesirable formation of eddy currents.
- the two adjacent end flanges 13 and 23 of the bobbins 1 and 2 are provided on their inner edges with circumferential, axially directed projections in the form of projections 14 and 14, which interlock with assembled bobbins 1, 2 and thereby the central opening 38 of the metal foil frame 3 in such a way that between the inner leg edges and the transformer core an insulation provided by the protrusions of the coil body, preferably molded from plastic, is ensured.
Abstract
