Abstract

A trolley for moving textile pieces between workstations comprises a clamp with two parallel branches. One branch can be maneuvered by means of a perpendicular arm associated with another ratchet. The other is fixed and coaxial with a disk associated with a ratchet whereby its orientation may be varied. The clamp is mounted on a crossmember of a movable member of a vertical jack. The jack is disposed between two tubular columns which guide the crossmember and one of which has at its upper end a quick-release connector. This is used to connect the jack to a compressed air supply.

Description

Handling cart for textile parts between work stations.

The subject of the invention is an improved trolley specially designed for the handling between successive workstations of textile parts used for making clothes.

We know that in the mass production of clothes, pieces are cut from mattresses of many superimposed fabrics and then these pieces are assembled by working on batches which are moved from post to post. The most primitive way of ensuring such a discontinuous movement consists in using the baskets which one carries; then we used ordinary carts. As the evolution continued, we ended up with endless chains with continuous circulation of the pieces suspended from clamps, with branch branches at each work station. Such an automated installation is expensive; it is not justified from the economic point of view in garment workshops of rather small dimensions and relatively reduced production capacity.

Document FR-A-1 448 956 describes a rolling carriage comprising a platform above which the two opposing arms of a clamp extend horizontally; it is mounted on a telescopic vertical element manually adjustable in height and which always occupies the same orientation so that the clamp itself cannot be oriented in position around a horizontal axis.

The main object of the invention is therefore to provide an improved handling trolley so that it allows the greatest convenience of use and reduction of gestures and, consequently, the greatest saving of time on the operations of handling between workstations, in particular by the possible orientation of the clamp and, in addition, by the motorized lifting and no longer manual, of this clamp.

From a carriage comprising a platform mounted on wheels, a jack supported by this platform in an essentially vertical position, a movable element going up and down forming part of the jack, a clamp fixed to the free end of the element mobile and comprising on the one hand two antagonistic branches extending substantially above the platform parallel to the latter, on the other hand a means of maneuver bringing the antagonistic branches towards and away from each other , one of the branches being joined to the mobile element, an arm being fixed to the other branch perpendicular thereto and mounted to slide freely in its longitudinal direction relative to said mobile element, a locking means being provided for immobilize this arm in position relative to this mobile element, according to the invention said mobile element carries a shaft substantially parallel to the platform, free to rotate in this mobile element and carrying a support auqu el is fixed one of the branches and in which is slidably mounted the arm, however that a locking means is provided to immobilize said shaft at any position of its rotation.

Preferably, the support is a disc having at its periphery circumferentially spaced notches intended to receive one end of a pawl mounted on the mobile element, this disc constituting the guide means in longitudinal sliding of the arm carrying at one end a branch of the clamp, the other branch of the latter being fixed to this disc coaxially with the shaft, depressions being spaced longitudinally on one face of the arm and a small pawl being provided correspondingly on the disc.

More preferably, the small pawl is mounted inside a housing hollowed out in the disc and opening into a diametrical sliding opening of the arm, this small pawl also being carried by a shaft passing through the disc and accessible from outside. latest.

According to an improvement of the invention, the jack is a pneumatic jack arranged between two vertical tubular columns. The movable element is provided with two slides mounted to slide each on a tubular column, respectively. At its free upper end remote from the platform, one of the columns is provided with a nozzle for quick connection to a compressed air network; at its lower end, this column is connected to the cylinder of the jack via a supply and exhaust distributor with control element. Preferably, this control element is connected to a control button mounted at the upper end of the other tubular column.

Advantageously, the end part of the arm extending beyond the guide means is terminated by a handle.

We will now give, without limiting intention and without excluding any variant, a description of an exemplary embodiment. Reference will be made to the appended drawings in which:
  • FIG. 1 is a general perspective view from above of a handling trolley according to the invention,
  • FIG. 2 is a schematic representation of the same carriage making it possible to better explain its constitution,
  • Figure 3 is an enlarged detail view showing in section through a plane passing through the axis the two combined snaps on the one hand of the clamp clamp, on the other hand its orientation.

A trolley according to the invention comprises a platform 1 mounted on four steerable wheels 2 and supporting on one of its edges a vertical cylinder 3 which is preferably a pneumatic cylinder. The latter comprises an element 4 movable vertically up and down at the free end of which is mounted a clamp 5. This has two opposing branches 6A, 6B, elongated parallel, extending above the platform 1 These two branches 6A, 6B can be brought together and separated from each other by a maneuvering means in order to be able to hold tightly together a batch of pieces of fabric or of clothing being made as or can be seen on Figure 1.

The jack 3 is erected between two vertical tubular columns 7, 8 on each of which is slidably mounted a slide 7A, 7B respectively. These are connected by a cross member 9 which is part of the vertically movable element 4. This gives good guidance of the latter.

Inside the cross-member 9 (FIG. 3) is mounted a shaft 10, parallel to the platform 1, free to rotate, of which one end OA directed towards the side of the clamp 5 carries a cylindrical disc 11 at the outer periphery from which eight notches 12 are hollowed out circumferentially spaced in radial planes. At the top of the cross member 9 is provided a longitudinal slot 13 in which is pivotally mounted about an axis 14 transverse to this slot 13 a pawl 15. The latter has a first end 15A shaped and dimensioned to be able to engage in the notches 12 disc 11; the second opposite end 15B of the pawl 15 projects beyond the cross-member 9 and can be grasped easily. A spring (not shown) resiliently holds the pawl 15 engaged in any one of the notches 12. By lowering the end 15B of this pawl 1, its end 15A comes out of the notch 12 in which it is engaged and it is possible to give disc 11 a different orientation.

The disc 11 also serves as a sliding guide means for an arm 17 thanks to a diametrical opening 16 formed in its thickness and whose profile and dimensions correspond to those of this arm 17. The latter is provided at one end of the branch 6A, which is perpendicular thereto, of the clamp 5 and at its opposite end of a handle 18 which facilitates its gripping in order to make it slide through the disc 11.

On its free end face 11A, the disc 11 is provided with the branch 6B of the clamp 5; this branch 6B extends perpendicular to the disc 11, coaxially with the shaft 10. It is fixed, as opposed to the opposing branch 6A which can be moved parallel to itself by means of the arm 17. A locking means in position this arm 17 is preferably made up as follows. In the lateral face of the arm 17 located on the side of the shaft 10 and of the cross-member 9 are provided successive depressions 19 regularly spaced in the direction of the length of this arm 17. In the disc 11 is hollowed out a housing 20 which s 'opens in the diametrical opening 1 on the path followed by the depressions 19 when the arm 17 slides. In the housing 20 is disposed a small pawl 21 carried by a shaft 22 which passes through the housing 20 and the disc 11 by means of a hole 23 drilled through the latter orthogonally to its geometric axis. The shaft 22 is accessible at one end of the hole 23 and it is movable in rotation against the effect of a return spring (not shown). The small pawl 21 is pushed back under the action of this spring to a first position, visible in FIG. 3, where its end part is engaged in any one of the notches 19. By acting on the shaft 22, it is possible to put the small pawl 21 in its second position where it is completely retracted into the housing 20 so that it leaves the arm 17 free to slide in the diametrical opening 16.

Dans cet exemple, le petit cliquet 21 est une pièce ronde visible sur la figure 2, engagée partiellement dans une fente correspondante 24 prévue dans l'arbre 22.Preferably, the depressions 19 have an inclined face 19A which makes it possible to cause the small pawl 21 to beat when one pulls on the arm 17 in order to bring the branch 6A of the branch 6B of the clamp 5 in order to tighten clothes therein. The depressions 19 have another inclined face 19B so that the small pawl 21 abuts against it by its end portion 21 A when it has not been retracted into the housing 20 by the rotation of the shaft 22. The compression and the weight of the clothes tightened in the clamp 5 cannot therefore cause it to open, whatever the orientation that this clip 5 is given by rotating the branch 6B and the shaft 10. In this example, the small pawl 21 is a round part visible in FIG. 2, partially engaged in a corresponding slot 24 provided in the shaft 22.

The vertical tubular column 7 is provided at its free upper end with a nozzle 25 allowing its rapid connection to a pipe for supplying air under pressure; it is sealed and its lower end is connected by a tube 26 to the lower end of the jack 3 by means of a distributor 27 having a control element and an air exhaust orifice situated at the lower end of the vertical tubular column 6. Inside thereof a rod 28 connects the control element of the distributor 27 to a button 29 located at the top of this tubular column 6.

The carriage of the invention makes it possible to quickly tighten and loosen a batch of pieces to be sewn, or clothes being made, in the clamp 5, to easily orient the latter to the position most favorable for the job. As soon as the trolley arrives at a work station, the quick connection of the nozzle 15 also makes it possible, by pressing the button 29, to easily modify the gripper 5 by raising or lowering the clamp 5 using the jack 3. height at which this clamp is held so that the pieces are at the most suitable level.
